Gravitybox jb should work on ics I think.
But what are you trying to do.
AKA: List all of your specs, go into detail on the operation you are trying to perform, and use the best grammar possible.

Yes but what are you trying to perform?
Change some colors?
Tweak the navbar?
What mods are you wanting to do??
What are the specs of the device?
What brand, date, and model name?
We might be able to find an alternative mod for ics.
i think theres a Gingerbread backport of xposed in the workings so eventually they will get gravity box and others working for 2.3 and up.

it says your on Jelly bean right now... is it fake and still showing up as ICS in adb or such?
not true jellybean....I just modif in build.prop to 4.1.2 my phon just 4.0.4

Most of the old Chinese S3 clones are MTK 6575/77 running Android 4.0.4 with just buildprop edits showing 4.1.2 - 4.1.9 but are fake JB so Gravity box wont work
I have a similar 6575 S3 clone running 4.0.4 with few tweeks
Even for me, the clock on the centre doesn't not happen wither with Xblast or with Android Theme Engine
Got hold of a Russian Custom Build where these mods function but that doesn't have wifi support so switched back to stock 4.0.4 (shows4.1.9)
Best option is to change the Clock color and /or Materiyo10 theme to get almost 5.0L look
Thnx

What i think!
I think there pry will be a Android 5.0 which will pry be run off ICS which some added features. Then 6.0 will pry be something completely different like the transition from Honeycomb to ICS in terms of visuals and core features.
We all know theres the beta ROM of ICS on the web for the 2011 Xperia range, but you need a Phone with a unlocked bootloader, but im thinking, could someone pull out the apps (browser, music, widgets, launcher etc) & theme files (systemUI, framework-res etc) not affecting the actual base of the system but how it looks & feels & put it in a ZIP FILE for use through ClockworkMod Recovery on locked bootloaders... I know theres ICS themes & stuff but their just stock apps with different colours (blue & black) & different icons....
If its any help I found this in the Development section - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1431608
I really like the Xperia Play forums, but most of us are limited as we have bootloaders that cant be unlocked :/

The Framework Is different and its based on a different Kernel so no if it was that easy then what's the point in having a Unlocked b/l

They still would need dependencies that GB doesn't have, and they'd still require a higher SDK build than GB has. You or someone knowledgeable can try to strip off the ICS dependencies and rebuild the APK to make it compatible with a lower SDK number. That would be one hell of a lot of work, which would only make sense if there was really no way to get ICS in our device, but fortunately it's not our case.

you need to modify(tweak) system files(framework files), which I think difficult for you to do...Search in the themes and apps section of this forum..
Small piece of duct tape will do the trick. Otherwise you'll have to de compile and re compile the rom.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I957 using xda app-developers app
little bit of research. you will have to decompile and recompile, but only one apk. I'm gonna set u down the right path, Google "remove carrier label systemui.apk"
one u modify it you'll have to use adb to push the modded apk back to the system partition.
as a side note, if u you don't understand the gist of what I wrote, not trying to be rude but don't attempt, a brick is always a possibility
consider the alternative

Hey guys
i have xtouch x507s phone 4.1.2 jb. my problem is i want to make the status bar Transparent but i cant do it . i tried to flash a ROM with a Transparent status bar but there is no ROMs for my phone and then i tried with xposed installer but it does not work to
so can you help me guys?? i wish to find a ROM to my phone
It's really hard to find ROMs for Chinese phones
Have you rooted your phone before trying xposed?? What do you mean by "xposed installer doesn't work too '?? Does it give you an error or something?
Flash your phone back to the stock firmware, root it, then install xposed framework.

yeah i've rooted my phone before using xposed but when i use the tweak box and reboot my phone the status bar starts to shows strange marks and many other ugly things i think its because the xposed is not compatible with my phone
I had a look through google for a rom for your device but I had no luck. Sorry about that. As already mentioned, it is quite hard to find a rom for a chinese phone/tablet. The more common brands like Samsung and HTC etc. have more support because more people have them. Nice spec on that btw. You could be the first to make a rom for that!
Hmm.. What Xposed module are you using??
Have you tried different modules?
If nothing on Xposed working then you have 3 choices
Get a new phone.
Or give up on Transparent status bar
Or just learn to mod your systemui apk to make the status bar transparent

So my Transformer's motherboard was fried. So I went and got it replaced in the service centre. So my tablet was back to stock
I tried unlocking it, but to no avail! I read in some forums that there was an issue if the hardware was changed.
So since I couldn't install custom roms without unlocking, I installed the Xposed Framework. So which all modules would work for stock-rooted-4.2.1 ROM? Any help would be appreciated!
