Hi all, I'm new to the forums. So I am very sorry if I post in the wrong section or something...
I have this problem, with android 4.2.2 for my samsung galaxy s2 plus device, after I updated the old 4.1.2 with samsung kies.. I was using the 4.2.2 fine with no problems... untill my device rebooted out of the blue. And so it started rebooting constantly every 1-2 hours or so... And I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the problem is... I tried various firmwares from samfirmware.com flashed with odin did factory reset. nothing helped. but the funny thing is once I flashed back to 4.1.2 android device worked perfectly fine, no reboots. I really want to use the new 4.2.2 but it irritates me that it constantly reboots the device. Maybe some of you have encountered the same problems? anyone could help?

Constant reboot does not happen on me but deep sleep.
You might want to flash the firmware again, perhaps a newer one like Switzerland's.
try flashing I9105pPXXUBMI1 firmware..dont have any problem with it..
Maybe you should first backup your data, then do a full wipe of /cache /data, dalvik cache (also with the stock recovery)
Try also to format internal memory and your sd if you have any, so try to flash again with odin
Could the reboots happen because of my sim card? I've read somewhere that the problem might be caused by the sim card inserted...
reboot constantly

For me this is the worst 4.2.2 firmware for S2+.....A lot of lag and bugs.....The first german 4.2.2 update is the best for me (best performance and amazing battery life)-That's my personal opinion

Maybe you're right. But still I find this firmware better than old 4.1.2.. and I reccommend it only to those who experience the same rebooting problem as me. Its the only 4.2.2 firmware that doesnt make my galaxy s2 plus reboot by itself so I dont have much of a choice

Which Program you used to install new rom?
You need to backup all important data ( with Titanium BackUp for example), And install through samsung kies. Latest ROMs are here:
sammobile
Search device i9300
Hey Guys,
this morning I got offered a new OTA update for my Note 10.1.
Since I've never fiddled around with the device (no root, no custom rom and so on) this never was a big deal for me, so I just installed it as usual.
After the update my device is stuck in a bootloop.
What I tried so far:
Connecting to KIES - failed
Recovery Mode -> Cache Wipe - failed
Recovery Mode -> Factory Reset - partly failed
Recovery Mode -> Factory Reset + Cache Wipe - partly failed
What I mean by partly failed is the following:
The device boots as normal (with factory settings) but as soon as I plug it in to KIES to sync my contacts it crashes and goes to bootloop again.
Now to the weird thing:
When I'm in recovery mode I get an error which (I suppose, at least) shouldn't be there:
Apllied the CSC-code : DBT
did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/wallpaper/lockscreen_default_wallpaper.jpg' (No data available)
This error points to the lockscreen wallpaper?! And the REAL weird thing: While in bootloop sometimes the device gets through to my wallpaper, which then is the "old" wallpaper I had BEFORE the reset. How can that wallpaper still be there after I did a factory reset? There is no SD card in my device.
Is there any way to get back to a working version? I guess it botched up the OTA-update and now has a broken firmware or something like that...
I have no experience in Android modding/flashing whatsoever, but I'm pursuing my masters degree in Information Systems right now, so I'm not a total noob for what it's worth!
P.S.: I don't care about rescuing any data, there was nothing important which is not already backup'd on the tab... I just don't want to have a 500$ paperweight laying around ^^
Thanks in advance for any help!
You can go to sammobile.com and download manually a firmware that fits your device and flash it through odin. That will wipe the tab and flash a fresh stock firmware.
What is your version of the Note 10.1? So I can help you choose the correct firmware if you need.
Also check this video by zedomax and learn all the steps to flash correctly.

Thanks for the fast reply and the information.
Not sure what you need as a "version", this is all I could get before it crashes and goes back to the bootloop:
Model #:
GT-N8000 (it's the one with Wi-Fi + 3G)
Android Version:
4.1.2
Baseband Version:
N8000XXCLL1
Kernel Version:
3.0.31 - 1388206
[email protected] #1
SMP PREEMPT Wed Sep 11 13:39:10 KST 2013
Build#:
JZO54K.N8000XXCMI2
Oh, and I'm from Germany, if that information is relevant!
Thanks in advance!
Your right it's model and not version
Check this out http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=19291
Check if the information matches, then download and flash it via odin.
Make sure you login to samfirmware first.
Hope it helps, if you need something else just ask.

My tab boots fine now and the error is gone aswell... It crashed one more time though, but runs stable since. I have to keep an eye on it!
Glad it works now =)

Two days ago my Galaxy Note 10.1 gt-n8010 got stuck at the initial screen (Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1)
It was working normally, and it was last successfully upgraded to a custom rom and CWM 6.0.3.6 a month ago.
The custom rom was (to my best knowledge Android Revolution HD 11.2 - 4.1.2)
Booting into recovery and download modes works.
CWM recovery works partially. Erasing Cache en resetting to factory works, and sometimes results in getting to the second splash screen of the boot process where it again gets stuck (Samsung animation keeps glowing), but more it keeps getting stuck at he first boot screen.
Erasing Dalvic cache leads to immediate reboot.
CWM log files cant be opened / external sd card can't be reached/mounted.
So CWM is only working for a small part.
I've attached images of the CWM screens including a log-screen that shows that files and folders cannot be found.
Using ODIN, to flash a new CWM or custom/original ROM result in a FAIL message.
Tried different ODIN version, two original Samsung data cables and two computers. Alle the same result. FAIL.
I'm hesitant to continue now without some help. I might do more harm and destroy all chances there are to recover this tablet.
I've flashed all my phones and tablets before. I'm not an expert, but never had a mishap, because I triple read the instructions. The situation that arises now is not a result of a failed upgrade/flash, but suddenly appeared one morning.
On the last days i thought i had also broken my tablet and i had more or less the same problem. If i were you i would directly download an official 4.4.2 and flash it via odin. Then if you everything works i would try whatever you want to flash
Try changing recovery. Give TWRP a try. Had it happen with a phone and switching recoveries solved it.

Well I had the same problem due to toooo many consecutive reboots
I was on gnabo then wid twrp
then I reflashed 4.4.2 update via odin and everything was a breeze after that
and one more thing
be sure to change the recovery cause the same one might not work again
well at least it didn't do worth me
I use philz now
Can't flash anything
Tried everything I could find but nothing works. I'm using windows 7 and cannot flash anything using Odin.
Download mode and CWM recovery still boot.
Are there other ways to communicate and reprogram the galaxy note 10.1?

Change a Odin version like odin 3.07 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1837605?
your odin shows your device is Samsung I9505 Galaxy S4
Where does Odin show the device is a i9505? It's a n8010.

I am having similar issues (Galaxy Note 10.1 N8010 Gnabo ROM) - stuck on the samsung logo (never managed to get past it though) boots into recovery but can't mount sd card OR internal storage. Can't flash anything using Odin, always gets a Complete(Write) operation failed. Any suggestions ?
Looks like we're both in the same sinking boat.

Really strange. I'm hoping to get it working somehow over the weekend latest, since I'll be on business trip next week and would like to have operating device on airplanes.

I've seen few other occurrences of this on different roms on various forums, so probably not Gnabo issue. also, nobody nowhere had a fix for it
I had similar problem last November with a stock 4.4.2 ROM. Fortunately it was still in warranty (2 years in the UK) and Samsung took it in and replaced both battery and main board. They did not explain what was wrong, only that they were seeing quite a few with this issue. Could it be flash failure?

I don't think it was flash failure, at least not in my case, since device worked without any issue for quite a while after last flashing... what was different now is that my battery was drained out for the first time i quite a while...
Hi,
The first is to apologize for the language used, and the length of the text. I am from Spain and my level of English is low, so as it was a fairly long post I used Google Translator and I know that makes it very literal translation ...
I write this post to see if anyone can help me or give some idea ... I explain the problem.
I own for some time ago the Tablet, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2012) . He has always liked to try new ROMs, so far without much trouble, but .... I tempted fate a lot.
At some point, after changing the Recovery and ROM, to test Marshmallow, the WiFi stopped working, which is a problem in a device of this type, you lose a lot of functionality.
I have tried many ROMS, about 10, and none of them work properly. It is true that some seems, makes the attempt, working. But it does not work.
I have also tried different Recoveries (CWRM, TWRP, Stock, HigOnAndroid, ....), and I have not gotten the Tablet WiFi work.
With all these tests, entering DOWNLOAD mode, it indicates that the device model is the Note 10.1 GT-N8000, the model without WiFi. And when you install a ROM, and go to Settings/Info, the system said that the Tablet is the GT-N8000 model.
This has led me to perform multiple tests:
A- Flash several ROMS by Recovey, usually used the TWRP.
B- Change Recovey installed by Odin 3.10
C- The last thing I have tried, is back to the original ROM and Recovery by Odin 3.10
All these attempts, multiple, have thrown me the same result. The WiFi does not work, and continues to indicate that is the model GT-N8000
The questions are:
1 - Is it normal, even the GT-N8013 model DOWNLOAD mode appears as the GT-8000?
2- Is there any way to get back to its original state, GT-N8013, with WiFi?
3- What Recovery would be most appropriate? (I once used the TWRP)
4- What ROM for this Tablet is the most appropriate? (This question is very personal, I've always liked Omega Rom)
What model do you have .

Hi, WiFi isn't working because you probabily stay with a older bootloader but with 6.0. When you flashed the MM rom, your tablet at which version of android was? Maybe i think 4.4.x if WiFi doesn't start. You need to update the bootloader into marshmallow or try look on the thread where you found the rom if there are some modem updates. By the way, if you want to get the stock firmware and install it on your tab, first go in sammobile site and download the firmware ( pay attention to version 4g / without 4g ) and then put your device in download mode->connect to odin-> on "PDA" load the firmware you downloaded -> start -> wait 10/12 mimutes and you will have the tablet as you bought for the first time.
And check if the rom is right for your device( because when kernel is different if the device start it can have some issues like WiFi )
Hope i help you

Hi,
Thanks, sorry for delay, I can solve the isue with another Rom
Hello there,
Please forgive me if i posted this thread on the wrong place.
-I would've not posted a thread here unless this got serious, so i own a Samsung Galaxy S6, it's 1 year old phone, when i first got it, i used it normally like everyone else and had no problem with it, but my curiosity got me to root the phone, i still did not get any problem with it until i chose to add a ROM. I used NNE 5.1 S8 port and it was working well until it got my phone broken somehow.
-My phone started acting really strange after 2 months of activity of that new ROM, my phone just started restarting randomly and it got me worried, i thought it's an application problem so i first just factory reset it. It seemed it was not the problem on an application, so i chose to change my firmware to a stock one. I searched up recently on the newest firmware for S6 and i found out it's: XEF (France) , PDA (AP): G920FXXU6ERC1 and CSC : G920FOXA6ERC1 on 2018-03-22. I Downloaded 4 files: BL,AP,CP,CSC , and i found out about PIT on one of the posts in this forum (Filename: SM-G920F-ZEROFLTE_EUR_OPEN.pit).
-Before i flashed with Odin, i wiped System, Data, Cache and Dalvrik Cache. The firmware worked well but after 1 hour it started doing the same thing but now differently. It happend to me only 1 time that it froze up on an application, but i think that is just an app problem. The main problem is that when i lock my screen, i cannot unlock it anymore, it just freezes there until it restarts after a short period of time. After the restart, it just keeps going, restarts, asks for pin, restarts and so on.
I tried removing the sim card and putting it back in, did not work.
I tried Safe mode, still same.
Model of phone: SM-G920F
Current firmware: XEF (G920FXXU6ERC1)
Android version: Nougat (7.0)
If you can help me, or you know something about this problem, please repost here, i would be really grateful since this is my only phone

How could samsung switch possibly help?
I did flash it with different versions already, but no luck :/.
I've been praying a lot for this lately but it is not working lol
Please Bump this!
try doing this.
1) go here: https://updato.com/
2) choose download 2 roms. 1 nougat and another marshmallow (to my knowledge, stock roms are one file. no more splits and unless otherwise stated... no need for pit)
3) first flash nougat using oden
4) try the phone for a few some time.
if after a set amount of time, phone works fancy and no issues present then it's solved.
if not... install marshmallow. then try again.
if all this fails then...
install nougat. as soon as possible afterwards install twrp.
boot into twrp and just leave it there. my twrp locks after a while and screen goes dark until user interaction (just like it's supposed to)
if the same thing happens then its a hardware issue... probably... (i have had my main board fail... kinda similar not similar issue... hope you dont have the same issue and that its just software related)
good luck.
In my case every time there was an update available it would download the whole firmware and by doing so you would get the most fresh and updated version. Also it updates every partition to match
