i switched from Stock 2.3.x to Dhiru's CM9 alpha rom and i have a serious problem with the ringtone volume it's a lot lower than the stock rom for the same mp3 file of the ringtone.
i wonder if DSP Manager is something that i can use to increase the volume.
i don't see anyone discussing this issue on the thread, other than in alpha 6 there was a fix for audio distortion .
can you help me with that ?
Update to alpha 7

ringtones sound lower only if headphones are attached, it's done that way because of some distortion issues and too loud ringtone on headphones, it's a tradeoff for now, it will be revised when beta comes
hi everybody!
first of all sorry for my bad english.
My problem is with my galaxy s2 i9100(modem: XXLPS). I use cm10.1, i really love it but one thing is not working really cool. When I listen music (apollo, poweramp, playerpro etc..) with headphone the sound is very low. i tried different things (media_codec.xml chane, safe sound disabled) but it dosent changed anything...in dsp shows only the 3 default way to controll sound, it dosent show my earphone. can anybody tell me a solution?
I recently received my OPO and loaded V4A on it done the BT output is low, similar to my N5.
I've found that you seemingly can't change the EQ under Sound -> Music Settings like on the N5. I saw mention of the DSP Manager apk and freezing it, but I don't see one under /system/app/ or /system/app-priv/
Am I missing something support obvious, or can you just not change the Music Effects on CM11S?
I'd rather not have to flash another ROM since I'm quite happy with everything else for the most part.

DSP Manager is not included in 11S. Its AudioFX in 11S.
Viper4android works fine.
Working just fine here OP.
BT, Headphones and Speaker are working great.
I used to use Viper4Android for about a week but after flashing volume boost mod which in this link OMG! I uninstall Viper4android and just sticked to the Mod that I flashed along with the stock AudioFX And the Sound now on my OPO is Blazin [emoji106] take it from someone who can't listen to his music unless it's Super clear n bassy too [emoji4]

Hi all,
So if I use Spotify or PowerAmp, I'm getting sound artifacts as if I was using Viper4Android.
Since I'm not using V4A, I don't know what causes this issue.
I disabled the SoundFX but I still get artifacts.
The mods that are installed on my phone are:
1. CameraNext V11 CM12
2. 3 way mono speaker
These mods have things done with mixer_path.xml, but I doubt it causes the artifacts.
Appreciate the help.
Anyone successfully installed a working Viper4android sound mod? Tried it bit it produces an awful effect on speakers.
I tried it too and it doesn't make the speakers sound good. Maybe because of Stereo Speakers ?
Maybe it's because our xperia xz's equalizer and audio tweaks are having conflict on viper4android. I observed that when it works the bass doesn't seem right, when i adjust the default equalizer then viper4android stops working.

Hi i tried installing the google play version of viper4android and freezing the equalizer and musicfx via titanium backup.. Now its sounds way better than the official viper4android.
