[SOLVED] 403 Playstore update / download issue - General Questions and Answers

I get the 403 issue a lot, there is a really simple way around the update issue! Consider this SOLVED!
Go to the playstore, find the app that you want to update, it will show as installed, but just click it and select your device and your phone will magically start updating!
That's a damn sight easier than performing any of the voodoo procedures I have read that people have posted, hope it helps everyone, I am just annoyed that I had not tried this method before!

[Q] how to get full market

So I installeed tnt2.02, that was easy, but I still dont see a lot of apps, like nook or kindle in market. Am I missing a step after installing tnt 2.02 to get there?
Edit/Answer:
Thanks for the post directing me to the thread where roebeet explained how to do this, and thanks for roebeet explaining this, worked great!
For those of you who missed this part, after installing tnt 2.0.2, to get the market going follow the instructions roebeet posted at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=845175
Repeated here for convenience:

First off, this is not my fix and I take no credit for it - I am just passing it on. Many thanks to xguntherc for posting the original fix, and KorbenD for pointing me in the right direction on Titanium Backup.
Their posts, as a reference:

I will summarize the Titanium Backup solution, as that's the one I had gotten to work. The non-TB solution did not work for me, but still relevant as some people have gotten it to work in cm:
- Get a copy of Titanium Backup and sideload it (free version is fine). http://matrixrewriter.com/android/
- Make sure the Market is working with your Google ID, of course.
- Go into Settings -- Applications -- Manage Applications and Force Stop both the Market and Google Services Frameworks apps.
- In Titanium Backup, go into "Backup/Restore", look for "Google Services Framework 2.2", click on it and then choose "Wipe Data". Then go back to the home screen.
- Run the Market app. You should get an error (that's a good thing, as that's what we want. If you don't get an error, re-try the steps above until you do).
- Reboot, and wait at least a minute after the OS is up to let things stabilize.
- Run the Market again. You should see an immediate difference.
EDIT: You might have to do one more reboot to get apps to actually download and install. I had this issue, but it might have just been me.
I tested this on TnT 1.02, but keep in mind that my TnT is further modded so results may vary. Good luck!

You need to apply the market hack: see roebeet's original post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842004
and scroll down to "what did you change?". Even I could do it on first trial so it's really easy
Good luck!
I'm having the same issue, fix didn't work either.

Much has been written on this topic; in short, the g-tablet won't get full access to the market since it has no (phone) radio. Maybe the situation would improve with gingerbread?
The hack works. I've done it many times on different roms. Just follow the steps exactly. Then you'll get the full market.

x2. Sometimes you have to do it more than once. On my second tab, I had to do it twice before it worked. Why? No idea.

X3 works for me. Make sure you get the error message first. That's how I know it works. I perform a reboot after that.
The hack works, I had done the same hack on the emulator I had running of Android on my PC and had access to the market.
Remember still though that the build.prop has test.keys in it instead of release.keys and some apps will not show up for test.keys.
Overall though...the Market hack will open up the market completely (minus the few exceptions)
Definately more listed but still not finding chicktionary (which is listed on the website)
Can I close this if it is solved?
i Have done it 3 times so far with no luck. When i search for angry birds or ADW or launcher pro nothing shows up. I get the error message and reboot and launch marekt which asks me to agree to the terms again and still no dice...

This worked great for me and I just wanted to say thanks!

[Q] android market

is anyone else aware of a problem in android market where certain apps cant be clicked on but downloaded, comming up with the message :
sorry, details page for the requested item could not be found.
has just happened for me trying to get skype and various other apps .
I got that message too when I'm trying to open the XDA-Developer Premium page as well as many other apps.
Anybody have a possible explanation for this?
Yep. Everyone seems to be having problems.
wonder if it is anything to do with your googlemail account ??
A google employee has posted on the support thread for this problem that they've made some changes and paid apps do seem to be working again for me.
http://www.google.com/support/forum...cd&hl=en&fid=2a65bdb41d02f7cd0004a224e70b0261
Yup all fixed now.
I'm kind of relieved that it is as I noticed the problem just after rooting my transformer and I really wasn't looking forwards to working out how to undo it
jus gotta try and remember what i wanted to get from app market lol

What in the name of Zod is LocalTryTry?

This has just been sitting in the my apps section of marketplace since I ran market doctor in Titanium Backup. I have absolutely no idea what this app does, (if anything) both the description and Whats New text simply says LocalTryTry followed by two screen shots of a three paned interface that is completely blank. Attempting to update the app fails and I can find no actual trace of it's existence on my transformer anywhere.
So I ask, what is this thing had how do I get rid of it? Frankly Its freaking me out a bit.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.asus.weatherwondered the samething. just looked on the market page. It says in the url com.asus.weather. thanks for making me look.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.asus.weather
Well that seems to be that mystery solved
I have exactly the same problem.
It came about exacly the same way i have tried using two different roms with the same result.
Have you got rid of it and how you did it.
Thanks

Using Titanium Backup just unlink LocalTryTRy (Asus weather) from the market and it stops nagging you about updates that always fail.
Well first post gets an answer pretty quick.
Pretty easy when you know how
Thanks for you help.
So instead of breaking the market link is there a way to port the update again? If I knew how I would since that seems like a better option.

Super video floating video issues

Is anyone having issues with this app. I am getting constant error everytime I try to play a video. Not sure if the new YouTube update or the app update caused issues..
Just wondering if others are seeing this. I emailed the dev but have not heard back yet.

I sometimes get that , certain youtube videos not playing, i always assumed it was some sort of license/drm bollocks, as they worked on the browser no problem, but the vie3os i try playing that doesnt recieve an error message still play for me, although im noticing a performance decline,.
Ive updated the app itself about twice now with the performance decline still there, but not sure if thats the cause in my case, as ive also recently started somewhat tweaking my tab i.e. rooting, droidwall, disabling apps.........thats pretty much it at the moment, dont suppose you've been doing any of these things recently, just to rule it out?
Im also noticing that the stock browser isnt loading pages as quickly as it used to(sometimes it does, sometimes it hangs for a bit), but that may be a seperate issue, which may just affect my particular setup, but worth asking again, to rule things out
Gd luck with that either way, and let us know if you find a solution to your particular problem, heres one guy who'd be interested in knowing if there is a fix for that
Thanks for the reply.
I am completely stock and dont have the pulled OTA either.
The super video has been working fine for the the month that i had it never once getting an error for any youtube vids. I havent use it for a few days and than today i noticed an error when trying to use it. I know it just updated the app and youtube app. not sure if that caused it. But ant be a coincidense. i even went back to play vids i played before on it from links and they dont work. but if you open the super video app i can play the couple short test vids i did with the note that are stored on the note.
no issues with the stock browser.

Thanks for the feedback on the stock browser, i guess thats something i need to figure out on my particular setup, gonna wait for jellybean and see if a wipe and factory reset fixes things, before instaling apps and light tweaking, hopefully point me in the right direction to the culprit
super video not playing you tube vids anymore

P40 pro EMUI 10.1.0.154

Morning all,
Apologies for the message in a bit of a bind.
I'm disabled so struggle to use my hands. But trying to sort my p40 pro Google services side load.
Originally I managed to do it but couldn't fix the pop ups so had to start over and phone upgrade to EMUI as mentioned above.
I tried to downgrade but that failed. I possibly did it wrong.
I'm really confused and struggle with the typing. Can someone point me in the direction of the exact file I need to download to downgrade or a sideload for Google services that works on this EMUI. I've read all the posts, YouTube videos but tbh it's so painful and difficult to keep clicking. So hoping someone can assist
Many thanks
P.s typing through voice is crap lol
