Is anyone having issues with this app. I am getting constant error everytime I try to play a video. Not sure if the new YouTube update or the app update caused issues..
Just wondering if others are seeing this. I emailed the dev but have not heard back yet.

I sometimes get that , certain youtube videos not playing, i always assumed it was some sort of license/drm bollocks, as they worked on the browser no problem, but the vie3os i try playing that doesnt recieve an error message still play for me, although im noticing a performance decline,.
Ive updated the app itself about twice now with the performance decline still there, but not sure if thats the cause in my case, as ive also recently started somewhat tweaking my tab i.e. rooting, droidwall, disabling apps.........thats pretty much it at the moment, dont suppose you've been doing any of these things recently, just to rule it out?
Im also noticing that the stock browser isnt loading pages as quickly as it used to(sometimes it does, sometimes it hangs for a bit), but that may be a seperate issue, which may just affect my particular setup, but worth asking again, to rule things out
Gd luck with that either way, and let us know if you find a solution to your particular problem, heres one guy who'd be interested in knowing if there is a fix for that

I am completely stock and dont have the pulled OTA either.
The super video has been working fine for the the month that i had it never once getting an error for any youtube vids. I havent use it for a few days and than today i noticed an error when trying to use it. I know it just updated the app and youtube app. not sure if that caused it. But ant be a coincidense. i even went back to play vids i played before on it from links and they dont work. but if you open the super video app i can play the couple short test vids i did with the note that are stored on the note.
no issues with the stock browser.

Thanks for the feedback on the stock browser, i guess thats something i need to figure out on my particular setup, gonna wait for jellybean and see if a wipe and factory reset fixes things, before instaling apps and light tweaking, hopefully point me in the right direction to the culprit

yes just noticed this issue today .. tried updating but that didnt help. This was one of my fave apps.. hope theres a fix for it soon..any ideas would be appreciated ..ty
I am impatient so I forked over $1 and change for stick it video. Works just as well.

Short and sweet, cant upload to YouTube. I have a video that's 97 megs and it fails every time. I am on wifi....stumped.
you need to keep retrying and itll eventually upload. or you can just upload from a computer which is much quicker and easier.

Thanks. Is this a problem with android overall or the captivate? I came across some droid x post complaining about vids over 100 megs.

This problem is really bugging me too. From what I have read the YouTube app uploader isn't very good and the uploads are something smaller than 720p once they are on YouTube. There is an app by pixelpipe?? that can supposedly keep the upload in 720p but there's something on the EULA about them owning the content and you have to give them your password.
From what I understand about the upload failures (on wifi) it seems to be a twofold problem. YouTube has updated their site twice in recent months which may be creating compatibility problems with the app. Also the youtube's compression and distribution system seems to be in a state of chaos in general.
I haven't seen anything that comes out and says any of this but its what I've been able to piece together.
I'm planning to shoot some vids this weekend so I'll keep looking and post if i find anything out

Login is automatic through your Google account. Use the menu to view your account

Well that blows! I wonder if samsung is aware of the problem and working on it. I hate not being able to upload in HD to YouTube.
Probably has to do with the lack of HSUPA

the youtube uploader uploads the full video but it just takes forever to do so. theres an app from pixelpipe that i use from time to time. it uploads the video file in its full resolution too but there isnt a progress bar when its uploading.

I just took a 40mb 720p video and have been trying to upload it for maybe 30 min now. It keeps stopping after moving a few % and says will "...retry after 1 minute..." But it only does another few % then stops again.
Terrible. Kinda destroys the whole flow of personal media. I read here that its an app/youtube problem so I hope they update it
WORK AROUND!
So uploading to Qik works very smoothly and fast. So use Qik to upload to Youtube/Facebook!
Basically go to a computer and link your Qik account with Youtube/Facebook. Then log out of the android app and log back in. Now, go to the video you want to upload and hit the upload button. Wait for it to finish upload. NOW hit the Youtube/Facebook button! Tada!! It will send the video to youtube/facebook after its done processing.
Hurrah!! I haven't tried it over 3G but suspect that its not limited. Also currently uploading so I will let everyone know if its HD or not.

Samsung really needs to fix these things. I mean the gps issue, connecting to enterprise wifi, exchange issues, and YouTube uploads on wifi. Do we have to wait till Froyo for these fixes?

the youtube thing isnt really a samsung issue. ive read that its a problem with all android phones. its the actual youtube app and servers that cause it.
I flashed a new Rom last night and WWF was working fine for me. I was playing back and forth with my wife for a few hours. Then it quit working. It starts to load, then quits. It goes to a screen showing the upside down android with link. Click link and it says Web page down. I uninstalled the game and then installed it again. ?Same thing. Trying to figure out if it is a WWF problem or some thing with the Rom.
My question is, anyone else having problems with Words with Friends?

If you happen to have AdFree Android installed, I remember reading somewhere that this messes up Words With Friends. Probably because of their awful post-move full screen ads.
The rom has adds removed. For what ever reason words with friends doesnt work properly without adds. you need to delete the host file on your phone using a file manager

You my friend are a genius, I looked at the specs of the ROM and there it was. My last rom had where you could turn it off. I just gotta find the option for that for this rom.

Actually if you do a Google search, there are instructions on editing it to enable just words with friends. Other ads are still mostly blocked.

I actually just discovered Wordsmith, a similar game to WWFriends. Seems to work better and more stable. Only thing is it's not cross platform with iOS.
Quick question. My transformer installs apps from the market fine but when im navigating around the market looking around the apps ive already dont show as 'installed'. Instead it shows 'free' or the price of the app. When i click on the app it shows as installed and it also shows the installed apps within the 'my apps'......is this normal????

Thanks for confirming this, i though i was going mad. I half remember reading a review of honeycomb and it included this issue but i cant find it now. Its a hard one to Google as it gets mixed with people who cant install apps or cant see apps in the market.
I remember hearing that 3.1 would fix this problem.
Hmm i thought i was going nuts when downloading apps and sometimes they dont show up anywhere, hope 3.1 irons this out

I had the same problem, I did a system reset and it all started to work also make sure you do not uncheck the restore device settings. I think that was the trick for me.

I'm having issues using Hulu Plus on my TF700. When watching a video once the ad comes in at a break it is unable to play past the ad and gives an error message. I know that there is supposed to be the fix included in this rom but it doesn't seem to be working for me Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?

I don't suppose your attempting to use any adblockers or anything of the sort? I have had similar issues with hulu by using adblockers.

There is a bug in 5.0.4 that breaks hulu. I'll release a patch for you to test.
But as previous poster says can you disable ad blocking and reboot. Then retry first please.

I disabled the ad blocking app that was on the rom and it seems to work fine now I only had time to try it once but it played the ad and then went to the next segment of the show like it is supposed to do. I'll try it a few more time today but I think that its working correctly now. Thanks so much for the tip and also for the awesome rom. My tablet went from something that I was planning on selling to something that is a enjoyable to use and smoking fast! Thanks for all the hard work.
So a few days ago something very weird happened to my phone. I opened up YouTube to listen to some music while on the bus and got a weird error saying "There was a problem playing, tap to try again". So I tapped and the same error came up. I gave up and went to my Google play music app and found that no music will play. Later I went on Baconreader, Snapchat, and Facebook where I can't watch videos and can't take videos on Snapchat. I can take pictures on Snapchat but not videos. When I click on a story the story closed as if I quick tapped to skip the video. Also if anyone calls me I can't hear them talk, I'm not sure if they can hear me though. So far I tried updating my software which I have been avoiding for about a week, no solution. I tried clearing my entire cache, didn't fix it. I really really really don't want to restore my phone because I really hate doing that and having to deal with it. And so far Google hasnt been much help. Can anyone give any insight to what's happening here? Also, the phone is not rooted and no custom roms, stock.
