Unable to pick calls.. - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey i found a problem currently I'm using cataclysm ROM with Franco kernel..
that is sometimes i wont be able to the incoming call also if i dial a number then i cant see the contact image instead its just like no call is going on ..if i press return to call in progress via phone app..then, it just minimizes.. the only way to make things work again is a reboot.

nexus 5 help and troubleshooting threads go here, not in the general section http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help
you already started 2 thread in general, do not start another in the help section, wait for a mod to move your thread there.

Sorry actually when i tried to upload xda says server error ..so i keep retrying that's why its twice ..any ways i will post in nexus 5 thread..

[Q] Caty Rom 2.1 Problems

Hey Everyone!
Running into a issue, I just cleared my CM7 rom and now trying to switch to Caty. (I need bluetooth in the car)
I cleared it with Odin, rooted, and have the newest Caty installed. Now the first time I'm booting up, I got passed the Samsung screen with the voice over installation and now it's been stuck on the moving graphics for the past half hour.
Does it really take this long to install or is something wrong?
Thanks in advanced!

You don't need to answer these questions. Just focus on your own threads. You can also report them to get the thread closed.

Nexus 5 ANY CSTOM ROM WITH KITKAT PHONE APP FULLY WORKING ??? WHAT ARE YOU USING THNX

Whats up guys, i been using xda site since my Beloved Nexus One, im saying thanks in advance for the effort of all de Developers working here, take my hat off to all of you... :good::good:
Now my Question, i been using custom roms for my Nexus 5, and im having the same response from all the roms i have try, the Business Look Up enhancement on the dial / Phone app that comes with the new Kit Kat doesnt work, im starting to think that maybe is just some configuration, now i have look in to all the configuration of the app and settings, that i can possibly check and same thing, loving the roms, cant complaint but i really will love to have that feature available since is one of the main features that i probably use the most for what i do for living. Really appreciate if you are using a custom rom right now that all the features are working mainly the Local Business Look Up from the Phone app, please tell me the name...

First off any ROM you use are you using the Google dialer? If you flashed gapps check the op and make sure the dialer was not replaced by aosp dialer. If your using Google there is a menu button in the corner you can select nearby places in the settings menu.

It never worked for me on stock until I updated to 4.4.1

Need a ROM with...

I need to find a ROM that is based on Stock, has silent hours, and on the pulldown notification screen when you switch it to it to the settings toggles, those need to be able to be changed. I can't very well DL every ROM and install it so I was hoping someone would know of one. Thanks.
If you go to the Android development section and the original development section and look at the op of different roms you can find what is best for you.

Why would they lock the thread? It's a QUESTION in the Q&A forum. As to the other poster, I can't go check each ROM in the forum because they don't list these two items in any of the descriptions. Or if they do they are calling them some other name I don't know of.
The op should list the features including quiet hours

[Help] Unroot Nexus 5

I have recently purchased a used Nexus 5 off Swappa and I am curious about unrooting the phone. The main reason I am curious about this is so I can receive the 4.4.3 update when it comes out. So I have 2 questions: 1) Do I need to unroot the phone in order for it to pick up the OTA update? 2) How do I go about unrooting the phone? I have read about many different ways and would like to know the best.
Thanks in advance!
Please go to Nexus 5 general forum. All your answers are in the sticky threads

Keep the phone rooted and enjoy! And wait probably a couple days after the ota for a stock ROM or files to flash.
Ota's are for non nexus owners.

I'm with kj. Roll with man. Only reason I'd unroot it is if the person that did it didn't do it right and your having connection issues etc. Enjoy ur new to u hammerhead

If you want to unroot you will have to remove all of the necessary files, which can be a pain if you have other things such as busybox installed. And no, you will not be able to apply an OTA if you have modified the firmware (from my experience, having root will block installation via the stock recovery).
The easiest way to restore your phone completely and be ready to accept OTAs is to restore the phone using a factory image found here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images?csw=1
Unzip the file and open the .bat file to automatically flash the images, keep in mind that it will wipe your sdcard and factory reset your phone.
Will flashing the ROM when it comes out delete all my data? I'm a bit new to all this.

if i am wrong someone please correct me.
the OTA update does not delete any of your data.
as another user said you can download the current stock image from google server and flash it. it will delete your data.
you can download and open the stock image and fastboot flash system.img and boot.img. this way you are ready for OTA update but will keep your data.
