No Internet connectivity with KitKat 4.4.2 PAC-man AIO on vzw SG3 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Just like the title says. I formatted my phone, wiped cache and stuff, then installed the rom using clockwork (newest version) along with the new gapps. I have access to the internet and such but the phone doesn't recognize it (in terms of google play store and certain apps). Please help, all i can do i use the browser for internet (but not any other apps, i can't even sign into google for the google play store).

Can anyone please help? (or send me their host file)?

Really? ... this is one of the few places i can post and no one can help me? :'(

Play Store broken

Hello Everyone,
First time post. I scoured through numerous posts about the Play Store unable to find one related to mine. I will give as much detail as I can. Pretty simple if you are savy with rooting.
Phone: HTC Evo 4G
ROM Installed: MazWoz-Evo-B6 (Jellybean
GoogleApps Version: gapps-JB-20121124
Have attempted other ROMS and gapps versions. Just a few. But enough to know I must be missing a step or it is just broken and no one has it running :S. I have cleared all the cache, both the Play Store app cache and in Recovery mode Cache's. I just started into this Rooting last night. Very comfortable installing different ROMS. But why is the Play Store broken on each one? I have tried installing the ROM, Booting up, shutting down and than installing Gapps. Along with installing Gapps right after the Rom install. I clear everything for fresh install of both. It is getting me no where and the internet is full of all kinds of topics related to the Play Store. But nothing that fixes this issue.
I can not get connected to the Google Play Store. Using an existing google account to log in with, it never makes it into the store. But using this step does setup the email for the phone. Maybe that will help pinpoint an idea to you guru's. I hope someone can help.
Thanks!

first thing. ensure that your rom download and gapps download are both good downloads and not corrupt. even partially corrupt files can flash unless you used md5 checksums. But since each rom is having a problem... really looks like your gapps might be the problem...
thats something to check at least...

Android's play store is oddly configured. Depending on your rom's tweaks, a variety of things can cause playstore issues including: LCD Density (via /system/build.prop), ro.product.model= (via /system/build.prop), ro.product.manufacturer= (via /system/build.prop), and lastly the Google Play Database file.
Sorry I can't remember the location of this file, but basically on our phones there is a database file, I believe an SQL DB. If you have lots of problems, you can try to close google play, erase cache/data to the app, then rename the db file to **OriginalNameOfFile**.BAK
open google play, and it should be fixed

[Q] Hangouts = Google Play Service not supported on this device ?

My g/f phone is on the last version of Saba Prime v16. We did a force update to get Hangouts today and it worked fine..... until we rebooted it. Now Hangouts reports "Google Play Service, which some of your applications rely on,is not supprted by your device. Please contact the manufacturer".
Google Play Services and Hangouts were uninstalled, phone rebooted, then from play store they were installed again but the message persists.
I have a Desire S with Fallout rom, the same version of both apps and works fine even after multiple reboots....
Any ideas ?
I'm getting the same issue on a VZW Nexus. The weird thing is I have 2 Nexus LTE, one mine, one is my wife's. Both are running the exact same ROM/gapps/kernel/radio.... On one device the update to hangouts was flawless, on the other I get "device not compatible". Then a "play services" won't update error....
I've wiped the ROM clean install and tried to update before restoring other apps and still have issues.
Anybody have ideas to correct?
First idea is it sounds like it might be due to different versions of gapps before installing hangouts; I know that the gapps I flashed onto my phone got updated at some point afterwards, and now looks different to the package I downloaded and flashed originally.
Second idea, do your phones have the same CID? (i.e. same carrier, same sim-unlock state).

Okay I fixed on my end...
It seems as though it was on Google's server end, if that's possible.
The short answer for me was, wipe data > install ROM > install hangouts via apk (previously downloaded)> reboot > flash gapps > update Google now> update Google play services.... Viola. Seems like there should have been an easier fix.
Long Answer
I tried wiping data reinstalling ROM and gapps and that DID NOT work. I was getting the same error for Hangouts, Google Now, and Play Services and then some.... "Device not compatible"
I tried the exact same thing but logged into my Google account rather than my wife's and it worked just fine. No errors... Retried wiping ROM and flashing gapps, used her account, device not compatible again. That's why I'm guessing it was server side if that's possible. Even the web version of Play Store was saying device not compatible. CIDs were restored in each case and running same AOKP version and same Gapps.
That lead me to trying the install without Gapps... You only get so far before you must login to Google for obvious reasons, but for what ever reason, having the app installed on my phone before signing into gapps allowed for updating all of the other Play Services without issue.
It doesn't make sense to me but I'm up and running now...
My Solution
I'm a little late to the party, but this is the easiest post to find on Google for this problem. Mine worked after fresh ROM install, but it would start giving the error after a reboot. After much searching the thing that ultimately worked for me was to uninstall updates for the Play Store. I haven't uninstalled Play Services and after the Store auto updated, I could use Hangouts once again. I am using a HTC Desire with Cool Droid v3 GSM ROM.
I can confirm that steps suggested by MikeAce00 worked flawlessly.
This is what I did with a rom with gapps installed already
1. wipe & install rom -- do not input google credentials
2. install hangouts (google+ not necessary!) apk manually
3. input google credentials
4. update google play services (Hangouts even requested this...happened automatically after inputting the google credentials)
5. restart
6. done! -- hangouts should work
For me it did not seem to make any difference if you restart directly after installing hangouts apk or after inputting the google credentials

I've tried the methods proposed here, but no luck. At poinjt 4 I don't get a request for update, just the same old message about google play services not being supported.
I'm currently going through older versions of gapps and see if I get to a point where Google Play updates the right files in the right order.

[Completed] Custom Device Needs Play Store (4.2.2)

Hey guys,
First off wanted to say thanks for having a special forum for people like me who don't really know what we're doing
I've got a custom-built device running stock 4.2.2. I'm unable to access bootloader, so I can't install a gapps package, but I need to install the Play Store and Play Services.
I've got Play Store installed, but i'ts not working due to lack of Play Services. Whenever I try to install the Play Services APK, I get the parsing error.
The normal fix for this, from what I've seen, is to put the apk in Drive, but since I don't have Services, I can't log into GMail or Drive, both of which I've installed with their respective APK files.
I can't mount a USB stick because the device doesn't support OTG.
Any ideas?
Been googling for play store and services APKs, I just can't figure out which I should use for 4.2.2.
It's not a custom ROM; stock 4.2.2. I have no access to bootloader, no way to install recovery.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Have you tried looking at apkmirror.com? They have every version of those apps available for download.

[Resolved] [Q] Xiaomi TV Box

I have a Xiaomi TV Box 3rd Gen, Model : MDZ-09-AK and i'm having a few problems. After trying to install google play for awhile, I rebooted and manged to get google play, however a few things happen, I couldn't install apks (crashes any apps that tries to install it) and google play doesn't even work (No connection though my wifi works), the youtube app also stopped working. So I decided to enter system menu and clear everything out. However, i'm now stuck without a settings app, with a broken play store and some default apps. I cannot install any .apk.
Anyone can assist me?

The TV Box have a recovery? If yes try to wipe data
Sent from my Motorola StarTAC via XDA Free App
[Solved] Xiaomi TV Box
Yeah but that doesn't work.
Anyways I manged to solve it by finding terminal in their store... Not sure why they have it there but installing that allowed me to access the settings from there.

[Completed] Google play services constantly being removed

Got an iDeaUSA CT740K tablet with missing Google play services. I wasnt even able to sing into any google account because of the missing google play services. However, I found an APK version of the services for the tab and installed it. It fixed the problem, well, for a while. Whenever i install the apk it fixes the problem and i am able to download stuff from google play, however, google play services remove from itself after about 10-20min and i cant download anything from google play again. I tried to move the apk into root/system/apps but it didnt help (the device is rooted). I wanted to flash gapps but i dont have a custom recovery (cant do it with the stock one, as it seems) to do it so, because there isnt any available yet. Also, there isnt a stock firmware available so cant re-flash it over the current one. I tried factory reset and erased internal memory but didnt help.
There are 3 games from fox which appear on the tab even after being uninstalled. I assume that the tablet cough some viruses and they are the reason for this happening.
If someone has a solution, feel free to share it
Thanks!
