Build Enviorment Problems - Samsung Infuse 4G

So in light of Scott getting a new phone i decided to try my luck at building for our device, however I've run into a few issues with our device specifically. I've completed a few official cm11 builds but when it comes to building for our device I cant seem to figure it out. All the tutorials I've read and followed don't go past downloading source code, and there's no info on the specific files from Scotts branch on which files are used for out phone for which builds. Any info on building for our device that anyone could share would be much appreciated from this n00b and others.

Send Scott a PM he's the one that first taught me to build

Thank you very much take your time, the help will be much appreciated
*Edit*
After doing some more work on getting things set up i think ive narrowed it down to the local_manifest.xml file as being the problem, i cant seem to get it set up right to pull from scotts github for the infuse.

HTC inspire has pretty good development going on. I have that phone besidesthe ATRIX 2. Im a flashaholic too and I flash like crazy on that phone waiting and hoping development picks up for this phone! Kinda upset I got rid of my of ATRIX. Cause now a lot of development is goin on for that too.
The Inspire is old, though.

Im pretty sure the phones with the BEST development and going to be kinda old...
My vote would be either the international SGSII or one of its variants (I have i777 and things always seem to be booming over there).
Go get a Samsung phone, whichever is the latest one that AT&T has. They always have a TON of developers.
You know on the other hand you could just put in some time and learn and get some great ROMs in the process, lfaber06, cogery, and myself could really use the help, and it really is not all that hard, if you know anything about phones and flashing, and some about computers.
There is a thread in the development section on the tools needed to do this.

I would love to learn more about development, but at 52 it's all a bit overwhelming at times. I may have to find something in the 250.00 dollar range and try though.

I tried all night last night to get a booting port but as close a I come was getting a version that just boot loops. ADB is not working so no logcats to help me out. I am going to work on it some more this evening still trying to rest some right now. There is a member that posted in the thread in the Sensation General forum saying they are porting it and posted a pic of a Sensation with what looks like the Nexus splash screen or bootanimation, see here. But I am not to sure how creditable this is, I need more prof before I believe them. I think I am going to just pull the Galaxy Nexus ROM by Team Inferno apart and see if it tells me anything.

Talked to Racing19969 earlier today and he said he's got it built, but no display when it boots. Just as dr4stic said the msm 8660 devices are in the dark right now. The Hercules t989 shares the same problem. Just be patient, it'll come. If not our device than maybe eventually a port. Keep an eye on the t989 cm 10.1 discussion too.

It wont be that easy bro it takes alot of coding to use a rom from another phone theres alot of different things about the 2 phones our kernels will never work with s2s roms they have totally diff partition setups and lots of different things... And if u read the s2 forums ud see they dont even have 10.1 running yet thereselves its black screen hell so a port from that phone would have the same results even if it was successful... Cm10.1 is real unstable right now even for alot of way more popular phones weve got a long time before well see a stable or even semi usable alpha build... Not to sound like a **** but u need a Real Rom Dev (like Dr4stic) and a Real good Kernel writer (chad.goodman) for us to get close to 10.1 for the blaze
Thats why u didnt see us porting ICS roms from the S2 before we got the i577 rom and official ICS just 2 different
!¡!¡!¡!¡!¡!PLEASE click THANKS if I helped!¡!¡!¡!¡!¡!¡!

IDK if this will work for the blaze or not, but I read that removing a file named Qcom boot splash (which I haven't been able to locate yet in source) fixes the black screen after boot. Not sure if it will allow CM10.1 to boot or not though...

As an off-topic question would any of you devs know if there is a compile flag to enable tasks/notes in Exchange Services or some way to enable it? Best answer I have found searching this is that the phones that do support it only have it because it was provided as a feature by HTC/Motorola.

Building Beanstalk 4.2.2?

I have zero experience building roms but i have recently switched from an Infuse 4G running the Beanstalk rom from scott.hart.bti. The rom has amazing customizations and too many features to list. It is based on CM10.1. I was hoping maybe somebody could help me port it over to the skyrocket. The beanstalk thread does have instructions for porting to other devices but having zero experience in doing so i thought i should ask for some help and see what other people are willing to do on this as well. I did read through that i just wasn't sure if i should post this here or in that thread. I was sort of hoping that somebody who knows how to do this stuff might try to build it as i cant even attempt to start for about a month as i am in the process of moving across the country. Figured if maybe people saw how many options there are in this rom it might spark some interest and get some more variety of roms to choose from (not that the roms available aren't already awesome )

I did notice, I just didn't think you'd appreciate someone else doing your job for you.
Lets keep on topic here ... if the mods want to move this, that's up to them.
And speaking of on topic, build is just about done. Had to restart it twice for a couple minor things that I messed up with the device specific inclusions. The vast majority of packages built just fine though, so it should be too much longer.
I also elected to build it with the Marla kernel, not the stock CM10.1 kernel.

You're welcome. Do me a favor, get this thread locked when you get a chance, I'm preparing a new thread to release the build officially and provide support.
Hopefully I'll have that posted up sometime this evening.
Also, thanks for bringing this ROM to our attention - I'm sure people are really going to dig it.
Great job porting CvD. It's running great so far!
