Hello everybody!
I bought my xperia J 2 months ago and I am enjoying my experience. But after taking few photos with flash I understood that the photos look horrible, because half of the photo is much brighter than the other side. So I wanted to ask is this my phone fault or it happens to everybody, and is it possible to fix it?

I had this problem with my old Nokia 5800...just.disable the flash...
Hit the thanks button..it does not cost you anything.

Well if it is a hardware problem, just take him to Sony center.. They will surely help you

Same problem with my J. I tried using another camera software, and did not face any aimilar problem. Try using Camera FV5. Way better.
It's the software, not the hardware.

Xperia J users have not got media apps update officially so i downloaded album amd videos app and simply pushed in system/app and gave the permission! Album works great but i get FC in movies app ! Help me out..

Provide Additional Info..Are You Using STock,CUstom Or STock Based ROM?
Is The Bootloader Locked Or Unlocked!?
Anyways try other apk (i mean form other post, maybe the apk file you have had taken might be the corrupted one)
And if you cant find one...ask me..i'll give you the link!
Or you can flash the stock ROM back!
Or You Can use the SUS or PCC to repair your phone(certainly it will flash the stock ROM)!
Im on stock ROM and kernel .. Bootloader is unlocked! Its rooted too

Bro the apps I've got are of Xperia Z movie and album apps...
Will them be ok for you?
Why don't you try AVD ROM v1.6.. Its a great ROM.

Really ? I cannot test iam running stock modified gb xperia neo and apk gets installed ,, can.u be able to port it for gb aswell ? Would be really great and this is the first SemcCameraUI port that I've seen so far ,,apk gets installed but crashes maybe fixable ? Thanks for ur work iam a big fan.of the Sony camera app

Actually it gets installed on gb but crashes as I said so I guess 4.0+ and up

maybe ill try this later and install it manually cause im using an lg optimus l7 II and there's no recovery for this model yet,(im still trying to make one for this device),im gonna backup up all my stuff cause when something goes wrong i need to reflash the firmware,then root it and.....yes its a long proccess in order to get everything back.

Oh, sorry! Well, it just force closes whenever I launch the camera app:
"Unfortunately, Camera has stopped."

tested and working on my fathers lg optimus 2x ,, can take photos and its fast yeah ,,
works:
-Flash LED
-Brighness change
-taking Pics
scene mode works
bugs :
-force close when open menu (press menu button)
-frezzes (stop working) when switching to video mode ,,
-no options avaible to change resolution etc ... (libs must be ported i guess , but dont know)
im eagerly waiting for gb port

I have seen on xda that xperia z2 camera works on XL.
I have installed it using CWM recovery, but it always give fc.
I am using fxp323 CM11.
Is it working on our XL?
Can someone please give instructions on how to install it and link of working camera if possible?

Even using Z1 Camera is FC, unfortunately. I think it misses some proprietaries libs from sony, or maybe a framework-res from Z1 or Z2.
Any one can tell the procedure to use my Xperia m2 cam as Web cam.....replay with links please
