Hello everybody!
I bought my xperia J 2 months ago and I am enjoying my experience. But after taking few photos with flash I understood that the photos look horrible, because half of the photo is much brighter than the other side. So I wanted to ask is this my phone fault or it happens to everybody, and is it possible to fix it?

I had this problem with my old Nokia 5800...just.disable the flash...

Same problem with my J. I tried using another camera software, and did not face any aimilar problem. Try using Camera FV5. Way better.
It's the software, not the hardware.

it is currently only for some sony phones/tablets and certian htc phones but eventually they will release it for other devices.

Im trying to install it manually because my tablet isnt rooted
but it wont install
Im on 4.2.2 stock and im just waiting for simple root method
i think it requires root
see method for xperia devices
For Xperia Devices with Xperia firmwares.
Read everything in the OP & the download post before doing anything !
Install a home like Apex or nova from google play then take a CWM backup(to avoid any boot loops at all)
Flash the Xperia_Z_home_V5.0_Home_Base_Xperia_Devices_Thilin aC.zip via cwm.
Now flash Xperia_Z_home_V5.00_Widget_Pack_Xperia_Devices__Th ilinaC.zip via cwm.
Now choose & flash any mod & wallpaper zip that suits your resolution.
Boot back to android and enjoy
No root but still needs work

The system dump had leaked, so many had access to it. The launcher was ported...
Here is it, an example of it ported to Xperia S, with really good screenshots...

I agree... Honami is a phablet and has a phablet UI...it will just look awkward..

I wouldnt consider it a phablet, the Note 2, 3, and Xperia Z Ultra are phablets. The honami looks just a touch longer than the Xperia Z in these pics:

And that definitely isnt phablet to me. Even so if it is you could force it to tablet by tweaking of just force your apps into tablet mode with Xposed.

It's only for 4.2.2 so the only users who'd be able to use it would be Pollux users, even so it looks like it'd work. I'm excited to try it!

You could try use ram manager / booster, you can search it on google play.
No buddy. . From ny experiences, ram boosters eat up lot of memory.
If you are rooted user, delete unwanted system apps.
If you are a stock normal user, go to settings/apps / all apps
There select and disable each and every app that you don't want.
That should fix your problem.

Ohhh I get u bro...so it's your mom's phone...which means that it need not be power packed...so the problem is simple..ask her which apps she needs... Then go to settings and disable every single unwanted app..I suggest not to delete it cuz it's your mom's phone...

i just read that our device can't taste kitkat officialy from sony. even sp tooo.. may be sony will give us a 4.3 update. anyways am looking forward to CM rom.

I've read that Kitkat is so close to be finished by Cyanogenmod. :victory: I'm so looking forward to release.
Sony will never give us Kitkat officialy.. (in my opinion).
But it isn't official yet, I'll just waiting for official Sony Mobile and Sony Developers statements...

Yes, but if you want to you can unlock it. It isn't hard. I 've seen here topic how to do it somewhere. But some of XL cannot be unlocked thats true. We'll see
When an official cm comes no one would care about buggy updates from sony.. Seriously i don't want my proximity sensor to be turned on always..Sony makes us users or testers!???what abt u ppl?

yes sony very stingy to update the device that may be considered "cheap" or "old".
They only make upgrade for "Expensive" devices like xperia Z Family.

Did you try other browsers? If yes, it seems like a firmware bug and I would recommend you to re-flash the rom.

Maybe it's a bit silly, but since it's a cm 11 based rom, did you unlock the bootloader before flashing?
Of course I did, but It could be the ROM because it has quite a few bugs like: no ringtone when people call, no camera e.t.c or maybe I don't have the nesserary framework.

The rom is buggy. Framework's fine. Try flashing another rom.
I can't do that either !! Its really weird only cyanogen will boot all the others just show a black screen after install

Hm......seems we have a defective device.....then I'm afraid the only solution is to give it for service....
