Some aspects of charging are controlled by kernel and recovery. Have you changed your firmware configuration lately?

Last night i had put my i9003 on charge, after charging whole night when i wake up i saw that it was power off and was not turning on therefore i connected the charger again and it was not showing offline battery charging symbol also. I had tried several time turning on the phone but it is not responding. After giving up i showed up the phone to samsung service centre and they are saying that motherboard should be replaced which will cost around 5500~6000. One more thing i want to add that i was on samsung value pack rom with stock kernel from 3 days..... Please help me....
can u go in download mode or recovery mode
you said you overnight charge it? You tried replacing the battery first?
@pratik_s I have tried everything but no success, no download mode, recovery and charging.
@marshygeek Samsung has tried changing the battery but no success
Since the phone is not turning on.... and you left it on charge overnight, my best guess is that there was some sort of a power/electrical surge and your circuits got fried!

@arindam Is there any way to get repaired motherboard or i have to change the motherboard........
i think u should go to service centre they can tell u more about that and i dont think they repair motherboard they replace it.but if there is any other problem then u can get it repaired.
Your phones Motherboard is dead? Then only way of fixing it is to replace the Motherboard.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda app-developers app
is your guarantee period finished? if not finished they should repair/replace it without cost.

I had this same problem with my device already TWICE..... in two weeks. I bought my phone, installed what i need.... in first week phone got dead overnite.... no charging light, no reset, nothing.... I put in on warranty repair.... after it came back the statement said that what I said did not appear so they reflashed it to newer ROM only....how I don't know when the phone was completely dead... I again installed all I need a next week after happened the same!!!! At evening phone was charged full and at morning it was dead. So second time i put it on warranty repair and they said that is my problem, that I should not install any another apps from MS store !!!! I mean what the F**K, I buy overexpensive phone and I should use it without additional apps from MS store??? then I need only Nokia from 1990 and I'll be set to phone and write sms My 8X is still in repair so we will see what will happen next time.... but to say truth, I'm fed up with this phone already...
Just happened to me few days ago with the battery at about 10%. after i totally gave up and ready to send it for warranty repair. After a day, it started again as the battery was fully drained. it seems that the phone freezed somewhere with the screen off and the only trick was to drain the battery. no key combination was working and no charging lite. It could be so easy if the battery was accessible, unfortunately it's not ((
phone dead

Hello,
I searched for died 8X Phones. I have the same problem TWICE with my HTC 8X.
The firstdevice is ran 6 weeks, then the repair center has replaced my phone with a brand new one. After 2 weeks exactly the same problem (no function, no loading, no reset, no connection) with the second one
Have anyone an idea which function or app the phone lets crashing?
I woke up this morning to my HTC 8X being powered down when I know it had at least 45% battery. When I tried to power the device back on it would not come back on. I contacted HTC and they told me to press camera button+vol down+power for fifteen seconds and when the device vibrates to let go of the power button but keep the camera+vol down buttons pressed, when I attempted this nothing happend so the HTC representative on the phone advised me to just send it in for repair. I've owned the phone for a little over a month and a half, was on the latest firmware, and had the phone protected with full body invisible shield and HTC doubleshot case.
Had this problem yesterday...suddenly phone died and nothing
waited till i got home from work and plugged it in to the laptop and it sprang back to life saying it was compleatly out of charge....was showing 80 odd % before hand
I Have been using the H950 AT&T since almost a year now .3 months back the phone stopped to boot up or was in an boot loop .It worked only when plugged in .So I replaced the battery And it worked fine.
But from last week the phone has been dead completely .If I plug it in it sometimes shows an battery with a question mark inside a triangle other wise it's always lights off.
Any idea what the problem could be ? Battery or motherboard .I am currently outside US so warranty Is waste .any one with same issue ?any solution ?Please help .

Samsung s6 screen went off colour then started flickering . Last night black screen happeed but keys were responsive etc only thing that it would not boot in to recovery mode or download mode.... phone just keep rebooting ...
Now today samsung s6 will not power on ..
Could this be a Software Issue ? Because i cant think of anything else causing it
Went to repair shop and there asking for €180 to fix
Which is out of the question ..

Have you tried the kies method in reviving your phone? Have you tried to poweroff the device for about 20 minutes and tried again?

How long is this while? It could be possible that you completely discharged the battery so much that it has no power to get power (it is complicated, but it is actually how that works and is quite common if you just leave your device).

I left it over night not charging and must have no power to even get power like you said ..
I had it on charge for like an hour and not a bit of power in it unfortunately.
So does that mean its messed up and no good ?

S6 uses Smart Switch, not Kies, that's for most older devices.
If your device will not charge normally, you may be able to somehow externally charge the battery.
