Google navigation doesn't rotate map when navigating anymore?

Is it just me or does google navigation not rotate the map with you depending on your direction anymore? I have been on IC since august and I had it working like that up until a week or two ago. I can't remember if it was on 225 sse or a previous version where I last saw it working where it rotated the map. I've been on 255 for about a week and when I use navigation it keeps the map stationary with north always north and I can't figure out how to get it to follow my direction as if its looking forward again on the road...thanks for any help!

I thought it was the updates to the EVO that caused that. But the compass was clearly fixed, but navigator didn't work. So it's definitely a software thing, and not related to the phone, I think.

until i see compass icon (top right) and click it

Gps not working properly

In my device Gps in google maps is not working properly.
First time it wont show the exact location after closing and reopening it sets the location correct. But if i move, it can't track it and go into grey dot.
But the google navigation works perfectly.
Anyone else facing this issue?

I am facing the same issue but on LineageOS 16.0. I tried to use GPS Locker to find satellites but none were found. I was also using the magisk optimized GPS file replacement. If anyone knows anything, please help. Not having GPS sucks.

My GPS on stock android is also not to good. Sometimes it shows badly my location and often it does not detect directions well. Arrow is pointed in wrong direction and when I move it is moving to the sides not forward. Also when I launch Harry potter game my character is also walking sideways. I tried to calibrate compass but is does not help to much.

My issue is gone now... I did nothing different just regularly updated my phone...also haven't tried any of there games so can't confirm if this is present there

Compass issues

Hi guys,
I have this phone now since launch and it is for me a good phone. But now i realized something that is annoying me.
In the specs is written that the phone has a compass, when i open a navigation app or compass app nothing works that show me the direction the phone shows.
Has somebody information to fix this?

I found a solution (temporary?) for this.
I restarted in the save mode, then it works.
Then i started again normally and still working.
Maybe the cause is an app. Will see when it happens the next time, but for now i just let it.

What compass application are you trying?
I've not ran into any issues with compass on my One Vision.

I tried with google maps, here go, and 4-5 compass apps just to test. Usually i don' t need any compass app, so i installed any i have seen in google store.
For now it is working, read my posting above.

Google maps get out from navigation mode after a while

Hello everybody,
I bought a POCO F2 Pro short time ago and I am facing some annoying issue with google maps.
- Many times, out of nowhere google maps exit automatically from the navigation mode. It doesn't close the app, it just stop the navigation and come back to the page where you can see the overall trip.
I disabled the battery optimization on this app but this didn't solve the problem.
More over:
- Maps does not recognize spotify, so I don't have the controls in app
- and the floatig windows is quite "buggy" some times it disappear, some times it resize randomly
Any help you can give me for these issue it would be really much appreciated!

I have same issue too

Gps issue while driving on google maps and waze...any solution?

I am experiencing frequent gps disconnect problems both on google maps and waze. While driving. Its like on google maps blue dot randomly stops during navigation and then after sometime suddenly catches up to me. Its really frustrating during driving.
I have also tried gps status apps from play store and they show same behavior. I have tried all options available on internet but no improvement. I remember that said issue was not present in initial miui build of poco x3 and has surfaced during recent updates.
Is anyone facing said issue and any remedial measure....?

Update:
I have done some trouble shooting and it seems that gps connectivity remain stable when i disconnect mobile data. Tested through offline navigation through google maps.

I had the same issue and disabled location access of Android Auto. This solved the issue with jumping or sliding positions on navigation apps

Can you explain what is andriod auto because i couldn't find it in settings?
