Led notification color - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does notification led in the moto g blinks in different colors or just white?

Just white.

But do you know if it's software or hardware limited? I always thought that led lights in smartphones could blink in any colour.

Hardware limited.

defy is colorful, g is white

A question about the LED on the Dinc

So normally my LED blinks green when I receive a text. However i use chomp and theres an option in the notifications to change the LED from green to a different color when i get a text. But if i change the color to orange or blue it still blinks green when i get a text. Is there anyway to fix that? is it just mine or can all the Dinc's LEDS not blink a different color? It blinks orange when i have a low batt so im confused.
The incredible supports only the green or amber led alerts. The hardware isn't capable of displaying any other colors like other phones can.

Yea I only have ever seen Green, Red, or Orange
By hardware not capable do you mean the LED does not display any other colors or the phone itself is the problem. Maybe they only used a tri-color LED in the phone..
Sorry yes I meant the led itself is only tricolor.

So is there no way to make an application that can use those 3 colors?

HTC Notification Light

Hi.
Just got my Sensation today and have been setting it up etc. In all the excitement, I didn't notice until now, the notification light on my handset flashes behind the speaker, next to the front camera. Am I correct in thinking that the circle on the left of the speaker is the notification light and that's what should be flashing (when charging, message received etc)?
Faulty handset?

Nope. If you check the manual, that circle on the left is the light sensor and there is one in the screen under that one, that's the proximity sensor.
notification light
Red LED lights is on on mi desire non-stop working without any problems, how to turn off the light?
Hi you turn off notification lights by going into settings, display, notifications led, uncheck all you want to stop blinking.. this should do the trick . It will only blink during changing now

Naa it's cool, you can also change the colors of the led notifications as well. Handecnt SMS can change the colors. Not as bright as my blackberry torch but still enough so I'm not always turning the device on looking for new messages.
I noticed that. It does a few other colors but they all seem very dim besides green.
Try light flow, very excellent app and the paid version has a lot more customization to it. One of the few must have apps for me
Red, blue, green, yellow, and orange stand out to me the most. White really all that white for some reason

LED Notification Issue in Moto G

Moto G LED lights issue still same only white LED blinking anyone who has Moto G and not facing any issue regarding LED lights please help me to how to set this setting.
Thanks
It only blinks white.
the moto g only has a white led!
There is not rgb in our led.

Old issue
I had RBG led on Xperia S which was replaced to Moto G. MG has only white color, as you, I suppose, know already.
It was problem for me on a few first days with that phone. Now - only 1 color is enough for me.

Low Battery Light

With the moto g if you have low battery a red light appears near the proximity sensor So can people mod it for notification use or do something with it thank you
As far as i know moto g has only unicolor led and that is conposed of white color only. Might be some preproduction unit had rgb led but commercially available moto g are embedded with white led only - as reported by number of users aroubd globe.

It isn't a notification light that is sperate there is a fit near the proximity sensor that shows red on low battery when the screen is off they are 2 sperate lights I've noticed this and maybe there can be mods on it

The proximity sensor works with a weak red light, maybe that is what you see in a really dark place.
