Get a new micro sim from your operator or if u have any other, that is not the cut one but given by the stores try with it.

Operators like Airtel, bsnl, vodafone use GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz range here as well so it should work!
Make sure you the sim is cut properly and after inserting the sim, reboot the device!

Need HELP With my TOUCH PRO 2

He guys
Here is the question straight forward, I bought a used US Cellular HTC Touch Pro 2 from someone who uses the phone on a CDMA network while i will have to use it on a GSM network the seller said that there is a SIM slot underneath the battery which he never used, Will this phone work on my GSM network outside U.S. and will that phone be unlockable?
thanks in advace
HTC website
HTC website doesn't say anything about GSM support for this phone "US Celleular Touch Pro 2"
any ideas guys???
The touch pro 2 is a world phone and yes it has a sim slot (at least the sprint/verizon models do). I unlocked my phone in the U.S. and used it on AT&T with my buddies sim card, the only problem was that the radio is does not have the 3G frequencies for the U.S. you might have to research if this holds true out side the U.S. since every other country uses a different frequency set for 3G access.
Also plz tone down the font size
ya the seller satated that the phone has a SIM slot then i should assume that it can be used hopefully, and the 3G is frequinces is supported by this phone over here in Egypt and i should be fine.
sorry about the font

[Q] Dual sim phone for korea

Hi everyone.
Is there any dual sim phone in the market that will work in 3G network at the same time?
I am currently here in korea, where phone only works in 3G (UMTS 2100 I think) signal.
So if I have a dual sim, 3G should work on both sim at the same time.
Thanks a lot.

have you tried this phones on both 3G networks?
I read some articles regarding dual sim phone that even though it supports 3G on both sims they dont usually work at the same time, 1 in 2G and other in 3G.
Thanks.
Yes there are many types of phones came with 2 sim cards.
such as samsung & lg
but i heared about a piece that you can buy it seperatelly and insert it into the phone which make it possible to fit 2 sim cards at the same time

yah, i saw a lot of dual sim phones.. but the problem is, if it will both work at the same time in 3G networks.. since only 3G signal is supported here in korea..
I know this thread is old, but I have the exact problem right now. Dual Sim in korea, with one korean and one foreign sim card does not work!
Too bad...

New sim card not registering

Hello all,
i am really hoping in some help here..
i have just moved from italy to saudi arabia for work.. i have got a new micro sim with adapter for the phone (operator mobily) but when i try to swap the seems it just can complete the network registration and it keeps on failing.
i have tried the following a few times:
1) rebooting
2) rebooting without sim then rebooting with sim
3) opening phone to take off the battery and switching it on with sim
nothing changes the result.. registration keeps on failing.
any ideas?
what happens if i hard reset?
what do i loose on the phone?
thank you
You say the sim card is new. Has it been activated by the carrier?

If you perform a Hard reset, you will loose everything stored on your phone including pictures, videos, files etc... I suggest you backup your stuff to the cloud.
Contacts are backed up automatically.
I feel it's the problem with the micro sim.. may be defective or not cut suitably..
And most Importantly north american phones and rest of the world phones uses different network bands
Networks
2G/3G/4G LTE
North America:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
CDMA: Band Class: 0/1/10
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8/19
LTE: Bands: 1/2/4/5/17/19/25/26/41
Rest of World:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8
LTE: Bands: 1/3/5/7/8/20
find out from your operator if they support any of these bands.
i must try with a new micro sim then, this one has been cut but to me it looks perfect.
if i put in the nexus my italian sim i can register on mobily without any issues in roaming mode so i guess it has something to do with the sim after all, still not sure since it is read properly, you can see it with the contact list and the pin request on startup..
can't really get past this issue and i would like to avoid buying a new phone since i can't find a suitable replace to a nexus..

ask your operator.
for example in my country, local sim card can not be registered on local network, if the IMEI of my imported device is not registred at operator/communication ministry office (usually at airport when arriving). so it needs a declaration to be an authorized device.
i dont know if it is the same case for you.

really hope that they can solve the issue!
cheers
Take a picture of the sim card the Nexus 5 is very picky when it comes to sim cards
it accepts only the newer pattern sims

[Q] Dual WCDMA

Hello,
I am looking for a phone that supports dual WCDMA. Currently my "HTC Desire 600 dual sim" provides WCDMA only on SIM1.
The SIM2 is simply GSM.
I wish a phone where also the SIM2 offers WCDMA.
Background:
due to frequent traveling in 2 countries I am using SIM1 or SIM2 respectively.
On Country1 I have Internet using SIM1, but when residing in Country2 I need to turn ON Data-roaming (of SIM1) , or interchange SIM2 into SIM1's port (WCDMA) so that SIM2 will have Access to Internet.
This is really annoying.
Any Ideas?
Thx
PS: Sorry for duplicates, I opened this thread allthough I searched and found another similar question in this Forum, dated from last year.
That question was however not answered.

i donĀ“t no if are any phone with 2 WCDMA
lg phones have the option for wcdma on both sim settings.. you can select any one sim as 3g but other sim has to be on 2g (without removing sims out of slots).. i have used e445/e715.. do check on specific model but most probably lg must be having that on all models..

That's a good hint with LG. Manually switching forth and back to WCDMA, but without need to interchange the sims, is something I can live with.
Thx !

SM-G930FD on Rogers network

Hey,
So I purchased the SM-930F on ebay, I ended up with the FD model. So first question there, I couldn't see any difference between the F and FD in the specs I looked up other than the hardware allowing an additional SIM. Is there any reason why I should be concerned about an FD over an F?
Second question; I checked the frequencies before I purchased and I should get LTE on the rogers network however I only get 3g and HSDPA+ or 4g occasionally but rarely. Why am I not getting LTE?

Can you please post picture of a sticker with exact model name (you can blur or wipe IMEIs of course)?
And a screenshot of Settings -> About device -> Software info.
Do you have 2 different IMEIs?
Screenshot 1 - IMEI
Screenshot 2 - Software Info
Thanks mate

First screenshot confirms - you got dual sim configuration With 2 different IMEIs. The other one shows you got proper firmware with (probably) Vietnam regional code. No problems so far.
SIM Slot 1 is compatible with 4G, 3G or 2G networks, while SIM Slot 2 is compatible with 2G network only. I believe you can change it via menu, but out of two sim cards - one is always 2G! So be sure that your sim card in a corresponding slot. Check with operator that your sim card is 4G capable. And last thing - check the 4G coverage at your place.
Also different regional codes firmware shows different signs on LTE networks - some shows LTE and some 4G. You can check type of network with Network Signal Info or similar free programs from google playstore
Do you mind sharing ebay profile where I can buy dual sim Galaxy for the price of single sim?

I have been using it in my condo in downtown Toronto, I always received good reception on my Canadian S6. For some reason with this S7 my reception continues to be HSDPA.
WIth the FD model the 2nd sim goes where the MicroSD card goes, as I have an SD card in there I know I have the sim in slot 1. Still can't work out why I wouldn't receive decent reception.
Here is the link, as I mentioned I ordered an F model however I received a FD model
