Root Micromax A87 Ninja 4 - Working Solution !

1. Download jdk 32bit only from here, Android sdk from here, Unlock root from here, adb_usb.ini from here and A87 drivers from here.
2. Install jdk
3. install Android sdk, after installing open sdk manager form star and select "android sdk platform-tools" and "google usb driver" unselect the rest, click install packages. After installing put the adb_usb.ini file in "C:\Users\(your PC name)\.android"
4. Now on your phone goto settings>applications>development>enable usb debugging and connect usb cable, it should say usb debugging mode and show a little green android icon on the topleft (if not then reinsert cable or re enable usb debugging)
5. Windows will detect the device, let it stabilize then extract A87 drivers to a location say "C:/drivers"
6. Now goto start type "device manger" open device manager, you wil find "android adb interface" right click upgrade drivers and lead it to a location of your extracted drivers, do the same with other devices you get with an exclamation icon. (dont worry if you dont find other devices, its fine)
7. Install Unlock root, open it and click root, it wil ask for the device select micromax A87 and Your done !!!
8. Press Thanks !! Have a nice day !!

yes there are some measures fo cleaning extra apps and get some breathing space in ram,
you cannot backup til u root your device, you hav to use clockworkmod to flash a recovery on your device which requires rooting, what i found is A87 already has clockworkmod recovery preinstalled, but the version that exist is does not hav backup option.
And so i tried installing latest version of clockworkmod ie v6 now my phone freezes while going into recovery mode.
Now my question is , Which Clockworkmod to use for micromax A87.

a87 is not in the list ...cwm hangs to boot logo when installing cstm rom....currently im searching for tht fix..and also cyanogen mod for a87 rom

Just dont try to install any CWM on A87 i hav installed and now my phone does not boot in recovery, it hangs up on superfone screen, any one having a solution please reply

Hey did u installed a CWM seperately or you are talking about the stock recovery, coz i treid installing cwm, it hangs up in boot screen

yeah that definately works like a charm as it is the stock recovery, but the thing is , it does not hav an option to backup, or install a zip file
and that is why i am unable to install online nandroid backup on my phone
if any one has a solution please reply

I have had a problem a friend of mine rooted my ninja 4 and removed god knows what software from it and now i cannot start my phone and i am currently not in India so cant go to a micromax service center can you please help me as to how will i format and re install the entire phone with the original a87 software i am an amateur in android usage so please try to be simple

bro. i was facing also same problem.. try this...... download rom manager .. click on flash clockworkmode recovery... then u will see message on screen. like. " recovery for a110 is not available... then click option... select Micromax a70.. from the list.. then download and flash ..recovery of micromax a70.. then go to mobileuncle tools. .. select recovery update... select ur cwm file ... i.e. recovery.img ...flash it.. voila

To Root our phone with Stock JB installed, first of all we need to first install cwm recovery and then we can root our phone.
so the steps for installing the cwm recovery is as follows
How to flash CWM recovery through sptool.
1. download CWM recovery and sptool. (from link beow)
2. Place the downloaded cwm recovery.img and "MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" file in the same folder.
3. run sptool.exe
4. select scatter-loading button on the right hand side pannel. and select "MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" (Please check that all the options of the box containing the list of files are unselected except for the option Recovery, see the attachment)
5. shut down the phone and remove battery.
6. in sptool press download button.
7. then connect your phone to the pc (remember phone should be shutdown status and without battery)
8. Press ok for the next windows containing warning that all the files are not selected.
9. wait for a minute then you'll see the green circle that means you have successfully flash cwm recovery.
Now you are ready to root your micromax a110 with jelly bean.
To Root JB follow these steps
1. download superSU from the link below or from the web (just google it for latest version.)
2. place the superSU.zip in the sdcard.
3. flash superSU through CWM recovery.
4. Reboot and enjoy rooting.

Flash suvi ROM v9 via flash tools ...this ROM is pre rooted and cwm installed

[Q] Bricked Gionee e3

hi brilliant minds,
I own a gionee elife e3 and i tried to put in the xperia HD v1 rom in it. I accidently missed updating the firmware to the chinese one and applied the zip file for the rom . Now my phone is stuck in the gionee logo screen and refuses to go ahead.
it is getting charged. and i can get into CMW to mount the sd card.
please help as soon as possible people.

Dont worry just flash another rom or stock rom of your device if available, or restore a backup if none of this worked then try the unbricking guide link in my sign but remember this is for other device you can take a tutorial

i tried flashing the device with SP flash tool but it gets stuck after a point. could you suggest me a link to how i should go about flashing the device ?

just flash the boot.img via sp_flash tool and u can recover from the boot loop.

just flash a custom ROm in CWM then revert to stock when your phone is up

Unable to port custom recovery help plz!!

Plz someone create a twrp or philz or ctr or cwm custom recovery for my micromax Q371. I have tried all auto port tools and mtk droid tools to port a custom recovery for my device. But it comes white screen on twrp and black on other recoveries  . Plz someone help me.

Thanks for trying but not worked... Same problem existing ... Blank screen comes then reboots automatically ... I flashed it via mobile uncle tools and then by rashr then by flashify.. But always same problem. Help plz..

Dude I'm having prblm here.Mynis Q371 but it's dead shows only media tek preloader
then I downloads the flash files and everything is good but still device wont boot up.After flashing When I press power button it agin show mediatrek preloader driver but every flash was download succesfull to device

Have u installed vcom ... First install vcom drivers... Then load scatter file in sp flash tool .. Then click on download button... Then connect ur device using usb data cable

Thanks 4 the reply ..I did everything The phone was good at earlier time. I wanna flash the firmware again ..So did it via sp flash tool And stuck here .. Flash the v11 and select format+download in sp flash tool
... Surely u will get success.. I have faced this type of problem in many handsets by flashing older versions... Then got out of it by flashing newer versions....

No i didn't have any custom roms/ recovery's flashed previously on that device
and by the way i tried these files http://mtk-p.micromaxinfo.com/produ...-01-2015/MMX_Q371_SW_V09_HW_V1.1_14012015.rar which is named MMX_Q371_SW_V09_HW_V1.1_14012015 this is v9 i guess
and also MMX_Q371_SW_V11_HW_V1.1_16052015 [this is v11 right!!] this and Micromax_Q371_V1_20.01.15_(by_xdafirmware.com) [this is also v9 i guess]

so these r the file i tried still no hope... i guess it's eemc chip problem will soldering it may work
and also in older version of sp it shows ppmc get failed error 1024 but in newer versions it's flashing with out any error but not booting device ..any other ideas
