FYI, asking for ETAs is kinda the xda equivalent of crapping the bed.
As for if there will be releases this week: maybe. Sometimes the devs like to give us a little Christmas present. But don't forget that they are people too and this is one of the busiest weeks of the year for many people.

Wow, I didn't mean to actually ask for anything - certainly not ETAs. More kind of a gag.

Who wants one of those Samsung cameras? The ones with android. Why do you want one? I don't see the point in the thing, I don't see who would buy one from VERIZON and pay the ****ing data fee. I just don't get it. What is the appeal to own one of these?

No idea, in the same boat.. I was gonna get it for a Christmas present for my gf but idk what the point is either. I do know Adam Outler rooted the thing which is pretty damn cool!

I think the idea of the galaxy camera is that people love the convenience cellphones provide for in allowing your photos to be shared to social media platforms. The problem is even the best phone cameras are still phone cameras. The galaxy camera retains the social networking convenience and introduces a nice camera (optical zoom) onto the equation. Curious how Google+ just recently allowed for full quality photo uploads eh?

This is the problem with xda. Not you. Personally i think you did nothing wrong. You were simply asking if anyone knew if a significant release for a ROM was being planned for this week. You weren't asking for someone to make a ROM, you weren't asking for an eta. Instead everyone decides to be incredibly disrespectful toward you. Maybe op didn't want to go through every single ROM thread over the past 5 or so pages looking for posts by the dev.

I think he already explained it as more of a gag in post 3 so everyone just went with this as a holiday stress relieving thread. If it is going to turn ugly I will close it.

I know that this happens....but I don't think that this is the case here as no one was outright disrespectful to OP nor is a future ETA or release something you can generally look up in past threads.
Oh well, relax and drink some nog. We should try and get a forum game running over the holiday. Mafia anyone? =)

Ok, here's all I meant: I love xda and the developers. I flash like crazy and keep finding something better as one Rom leap frogs the other. So I was tongue in cheek asking for a break from flashing, to save me from myself this week, not for what to flash next.

I sure will. I chose the low-cost shipping method, though, and I won't have it until at least 5th of July. I didn't wanna spend 50 euros (70 Aussie dollars) just for shipping.

Roughly 14 AUD.
EDIT: I cancelled the order for it. I think the phone's gonna be a tad too bulky with it.

Nope.. only ir blaster sometimes, but only to fool the teachers at school

Is it just me or is smart pause very finicky? Sometimes it will work while other times it wont. Is there even a way to know if the phone recognizes your face?

Just checked the live Samsung updates page and it seems the Orange-branded Spanish firmware has the highest changelist so far: 779953 and it's an MF4 build. PDA version is lower than the unbranded Spanish release MF5, though.

My claim to fame... First custom stock kernel for the blaze 4g. Heh.
I still have my blaze (in addition to a Nokia Lumia windows phone). And I'm still really the only custom stock based kernel dev for this phone. Too bad I left the kernel in a high battery draining state. I've been meaning to get back to that so I can give it to my kids as a game phone.
Maybe I'll make a short comeback.
I'm stuck with stock based myself because the phone is our home phone (for babysitters to use for emergency). I live in an area where only Verizon and Sprint get coverage, and I rely on WiFi Calling, which I don't think has been figured out for AOSP.

For the group, I'm getting many join requests from non-developers. To avoid spam flooding by letting them join, I have made the group such that you guys can see the content.

Even a dollar helps guys. So far I'm beginning decompiling the messaging app to see if there are any coding for the difference between iOS device texting and Android/etc. Also think theirs a way to make the Android masked as a iPhone.

What do you want donations for dude? You've done nothing here but talk about porting some app. The key work being TALK. Work on the port if you want. Post it here. I'm sure if others appreciate it they will donate. Otherwise I would just stick to XDA being about development. Not a bank account. There's no "development" going on here as it stands. Or we might have a different understanding of the word development then I guess?
