@hapticc - device has been price for 25000 INR ...
OR 289£ or $399
Extremely overpriced...
I would rather buy a xperia sp which is far better than this for a lesser price...
I don't think abroad prices translate directly ...we may have it for lesser price

People tend to forget the fact that Xperia C uses a MediaTek CPU which is not comparable to Qualcomm Snapdragon

You are also forgetting that mediatek CPU outperformed qualcomm quad core 200 series with huge margin. it uses same Gpu found in iphone and is faster too than qualcomm Cpu found in quantro and core. Its not about CPU company people tend to forget technology behind it. Arm v5 cpu of qualcomm vs arm v7 cpu of mediatek makes that huge difference.
Qualcom 400 series gpu is mid range cpu i.e found in moto g with adreno 305 gpu. It similar to dual core cpu found in xperia m but with 2 extra cores and higher clock speed. Its performance will be on par with mediatek mtk6589 series of cpu but with optimiZation from qualcomm will work more efficiently.
China doesnt mean bad quality afterall most of these products are manufactured in china only. Recently gameloft has also jpined hands with mediatek to optimise games and recent example is optimisation of modern combat 4 for mtk6592 processor. I hope now you might be clear about the quality of mediatek cpu as they are new future of mid range devices

i am damn sure they gonna overprice it compared to xperia m2
25,000 is just F****** insane
Might as well just add a little more and get the Nexus 5
No seriously, I was looking to get this over Moto G (uSD issues) but, very well then...
I won't pay more than 16,000 for an Adreno 305 + Cortex A7 combo
I think LG L90 is better choice than M2..
price is also set competitively. Also full 4.7 inch without on screen button with infrared port.
looks promising than M2.
The Price for Indian users have been said to be 21,990 rupees.
Any idea when the M2 Dual is launching? I am interested getting one.
hello, i'm Indonesian
i just bought this devices a days ago, the devices it's quitely good
but i still waiting for the update bcause the camera if i take with flash it's very dark

Micromax just launched it's superfone pixel named Micromax A90 yesterdays The phone is superior according to the price if the phone. Micromax is an Indian company so the phone will be only available in India. This price of the phone is Rs 12000 (250$) at some places and Rs 12999 (270$) at some places. The Phone comes with Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 which is a great. It also has a 4.3" Super AMOLED Display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels. Super AMOLED display makes this a great phone and due to which it is named after the word "pixel". The phone comes with a powerful 1 GHz processor. I think this is the best phone available yet in the price bracket. It also comes with a on screen buttons and not the capacitive buttons which is better than anything else. It comes with stock ICS and has no customization done except some apps installed by Micromax It also comes with an 8 MP Camera with full HD Video recording at such a great price bracket. I will surely try this phone.

hey folks greetings
this phone looks like it has large potential and looking at the paper specs, it obviously looks like a head turner.
now that it has generated such huge interest I want ppl who own it to give their review, that is, how they feel about the product over all
my biggest concern about it is the xda support, I want ppl to support such potential products and make it a hit just because its worth what we pay. am I right?
plz write a full review and also about the camera quality, touch, hardware, and my last concern
is the dual core version conformed? if any1 could conform about this I would be very thankful about it because I have seen many ppl on various blog commenting about the confusion surrounding the dual core version.
thanks for the good work ppl and plz contribute for the development of this product
hope its pre-rooted just like funbook
And an appeal to Micromax, plz release the kernel source so dat developers can develop ROM custom kernels etc.
Micromax is late to the party
Even if Micromax Releases A90 with dual core in september, there will have been many dual core competitors from other brands like Karbonn and Spice. As for me, I am content with a single core device because it satisfies all my needs and doesn't suck up battery juice. I have Micromax A100. And it is good (better than the competing devices right now for the price).

I really agree with you, I have an HTC Inspire 4G and never felt it to be slow or sucking battery so I may also go for Micromax A90 if XDA brings a bit of development into it.

First of all, there is no confirmation that GT-I9505 aka LTE edition is using Snapdragon 600.

How did you come to that conclusion ? The A15 should perform a lot faster(check benchmarks for 5250 and Tegra4). The Octa has the added benefit of a custom audio processor which means it'll probably have much better AQ as well. No point in getting the S4 with the s600 if the Octa is available. LTE is not worth sacrificing everything else for. The S3 is even better value IMHO than the i9505 at this point.

That is not what I consider to be a reputable source. TaskuMuro got a confirmation from Samsung themselves that the i9505 would be the only model coming to Finland due to it being the only one with LTE support for the 1800/2600mhz bands.

Tegra 4 is technically superior.
CPU performance might be similar but
The GPU on Tegra 4 is 2x faster (90.2GFlops) than PowerVR SGX544MP3 (50.2GFlops)
I cannot wait for a Tegra 4 device.

Q2 dude. Get your sources right.
No unlikely. Based on their trends from S2 to Note, S3 to Note 2
They just overclock their processor exactly 0.2 Ghz.
No chance you're getting a better GPU.

Noticed something weird - all 16Gb versions are listed as i9505 while all 32Gb version are listed as i9500. Maybe the only way to get the octa is to get the 32Gb version?(check the product code from Samsung)

Micromax is set to release the Micromax A120 Canvas HD pro on the 30th of June ,2013.
This phone will sport a 5.5 inch Full HD display with a Cortex A7 Quadcore processor. This is a phone that will surely blow all the others out of competition though some may feel that it is just too big. It will probably be one of the most feature-complete Micromax phablets released yet. It will also come with a 13 MP primary camera and a 3.2 MP secondary camera. In addition to this, 2GB of RAM makes this phone something to look forward to. It is expected to be a direct lower end competitor to devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and LG Optimus G pro.

I don't think there would be a 3000mah battery if the phone is that slim!
Even that phone would be use less if it lacks most sensors like our a110;a116.

Nexus is the future. No one can beat it. Even the fake Micromax upcoming model is lighter in that case. Moreover Nexus is powered all up to date features and hardware with all sensors. Even S4 feel shy in front if it. The price is too affordable but just wait for it's official release in India. I'm both proud owner of MMX and Nexus. I found Nexus much mature. The only drawback is single sim support, and glass back panel.

nexus 4 is running krait quad core, while S4 is running a Octa Exynos which destroys everything available in market on benchmark levels!
I don't think its Google who is not launching it in India , actually LG has problems with Indian market on pricing issues!
I don't know about this canvas HD pro but Mmx is surely working on canvas A110Q that is a quad core A110.
but 5.5 inches almost makes it like a tablet..
its too big to fit in pockets..
smaller screen with greater resolution would be lot better, in terms of battery and clarity
Size matters!!!

I think comparison nexus 4 with galaxy s3 I right and nexus 5 with galaxy s4

5.5 would be too big
I think 4.8 to 5 inch is enough ...if the over all length is too much then becomes difficult to carry / keep in pocket..
Really Its a Cool Fone
5.5 is not too big for me. Except the body of the phone looks slim like the s4

It seems kidish on behalf of Micromax, keeping in mind the Indian market Micromax has gained popularity just due to its more features less price marketing, I can hardly see Micromax starting to design and manufacture their own phones in near future. They need much more popularity and money to do so and not to forget their poor after services which they "provide".

Micromax launches Canvas 4 in India for Rs. 17,999
The pre-booking is now open for Rs 5000, if you want you can book it here: http://www.canvas-4.com/
Finally the phone got realeased today and here are the official SPECS, although i must say it's a big disappointment to our expectations
The Canvas 4 has a 5.0-inch, 1280 x 720 'TRU-HD' IPS panel, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 13 megapixel rear camera with five element lens, image stabilization, multiple face detection and vertical panorama, 5 megapixel front camera, dual SIM, dual standby functionality, expandable memory, flip cover option, 2,000mAh battery and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.
One of the unique features of this phone is Blow to Unlock, wherein you essentially blow a kiss to your phone to unlock it (yes, that's an actual feature). Other, more sensible features include video pinning to pin videos on the homescreen and look away to pause video, stuff that's straight out of Samsung's TouchWiz. You can also turn the phone down during a call and it automatically switches to loudspeaker mode.
The Micromax Canvas is priced at ₹17,999 ($295) and will be on sale this weekend in India.

I think that's another roumor, coz the leaked specs do differ from Blu One.
BluOne has 1GB RAM and Quad core 1.2GHz processor, while Canvas 4 is again roumored to have 2GB RAM with 1.7GHz Quadcore processor..

wow canvas 4
thanks..
guys Micromax canvas 4 has 5.5 inch FullHD Display. In the heart of it is a 2GHz quad core cortex A7 processor. Micromax Canvas 4 at unbelievable price of 15,000/- in the budget segment of smartphones..including the latest processors, more RAM, more megapixel camera and yes, most importantly, keeping the price low.
Not official but definite like this
Ya i had read that news article and it sounds very promising but again the article mentioned it's just rumored! I'm sure Canvas 4 will not be having a 2GHz quad core processor, thats just way too high expectations..

A new high-end flagship is on the way from Elephone - the Elephone Vowney with Windows/Android OS.
It combines elegant design with super specs.
Elephone Vowney is their 2K Flagship 2015. Because of the pretty high specs, the price is also expected to be a little higher than we normally see from Elephone, but the price ratio should be okay.
The model comes in 2 versions. Version A or B. The model offering either Windows 10 or Android 5.0 Lollipop
The specifications:
- 64-bit MTK6795 CPU Octa Core
- Windows/Android OS
- 5.5 inch 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution display
- 4 GB RAM + 32 GB ROM
- Firmware Android 5.1
- Support for 4G/LTE
- Support for microSD cards
- 20.7MP rear camera + 8MP front camera
- Equipped 3850mAh battery
- NFC
- Press touch ID

- Colours: Black, White & Gold?

I wonder if Version B/Pro will really come with a Moorefield SoC, because not even the ZenFone 2 has a Windows 10 ROM and I think the Imagination GPU doesn't have drivers for Windows.

This would be amazing if true but exceedingly unlikely: perhaps an Atom X5 doesn't generate too much heat when crammed into a phablet-sized device? I'd pay upwards of $400 for a developer-friendly phablet with Intel HD (Broadwell/Gen8, not PowerVR) graphics. I've been waiting for a Linux-friendly Intel powered phone since before Bay Trail, and I may still be waiting a year from now unless my above fantasy pans out.
I've got Elephone P7000, it is good phone, I am really looking forward to Elephone Vowney phone.
What is the weight of Elephone Vowney
Hello,
I got confused about the weight of this phone, on website says it is 650 grams, then it will be very heavy to carry. So kindly somebody can explain some details about the exact weight of this otherwise excellent mobile.
Is the chip ' 64-bit MTK6795 CPU Octa Core' processor is faster than or equelent to Snapdragon 810?
Thanking You
Dr.saidalavi
I dont think windows rom support is correct. its not memtioned in the highlites
Am wondering about the cm12.1 support. Does this mean the sources will be out?
would be cool if the device tree is reusable to build a pletora of custom roms. Then this can have a device forum right?
would be awesome.

dunno about its power efficiency though. may perform better but suck more juice.
for me the lte support would be important as well as custom roms capability

I saw the weight on website but I saw specs on other sites and it shows 169g. I don't think it could be 650g which more than half kg
Assalamu Alaikum(Peace from to all), my friend from Pakistan,
I am not differentiating the members of this forum according to their nationality, but for an Indian it is special when a reply comes from his Pakistani brother, that is all
Thank you very much for the reply,
When I read about the weight of the phone in one website, I had a bigger smiley of course on my face, and I thought it may be wrong also, as nobody can carry such a phone with them.I want to confirm it before ordering , otherwise the spec as so impressive, so I am waiting for its release. So your reply is a great assistance to me.
Thanks

How good is Elephone at putting out updates? Any feeling on how long it will take Elephone to upgrade its phones to Android M?
Sir I told you about the weight. It was mention 650g maybe because of auto correct or spell mistake. I confirmed the weight which is 169g. You can order the phone which is going to release on 20th june.
stay happy

the updates are frequent and quicker because they don't have millions of customer like samsung. If they give M upgrade then you will get before Samsung S6 pretty sure.

I just noticed on elephone.cc that it's now saying the 20th of August for the release date. I suppose that makes sense, at least for the Vowney Pro/version B (the one that dual boots Windows 10 and Android) since Windows 10 isn't supposed to be out until the end of July anyhow. I really hope the Pro has an Atom X5 and US LTE band support, because Elephone is the only OEM so far that has gotten me this close to being excited about my dream x86 developer phone finally being made!
Well, most preliminary information I've seen indicate that this phone will have an Atom Z3580 SoC, which contains a PowerVR GPU. Since I'm unlikely to ever get a phone, even a phablet, with tablet-class graphics, let alone one that has open source driver support for running Linux, I just gave up on getting this one and ordered myself a 64GB/4GB RAM ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE551ML, which should be arriving tomorrow. It may even be cheaper than importing a Vowney Pro at this point. I of course would love to be wrong.
Elephone Vowney is Elephone flagship phone?
They have a dedicated page for it now: http://www.elephone.cc/elephone-vowney.html
I wish it wasnt soo big! I want a 5.2" device....come one people!
they give a discount to the people who bought one of the first 5000 elephone p8000 without led.
Did we know anything about, did we know when it will be out?
Doesnt look like this will work with ATT due to bands right?
How is Windows going to run on that SoC?
