Sony Xperia Tipo - Clockworkmod Recovery

Installation
Download the attached zip file
Unzip It
Connect you phone in usb debugging mode to pc
Windows users double click install.bat
Linux users use terminal to run install.sh
How to use
Connect the charger to your phone
Power off
Now the phone will shutdown and automatically boot to offline charging mode. When you see the sony logo press vol - button repeatedly.
Now you should be in cwm recovery
Warning : I have'nt tested installing any rom using recovery since no custom rom is currently available for Xperia Tipo.

How are mods chosen/assigned anyway? Just wondering.

there are some reserved mods. when new forum created they will appointed by admin as the mod for that forum. it will take some time until the the mod ready.

FRONG CM10 for tipo is awailable for week
next week also with working camera and fixes

CWM works for Tipo dual.
Some developers are also working on dual.
FXP's team just doesn't develop for Tipo Dual yet because no-one in their team OWNS a Dual.
Then cant develop for phones they dont have acces too.

does this process of cwm work for tipo dual?

First of all, in this topic nothing is being developed (anymore). For Tipo CWM, go here. About E and E Dual, no, those are different phones and this CWM is for Tipo and Tipo Dual only.

[Q] Stock ICS apps on Tipo?

Can someone tell how I can install the stock ICS phone.apk and contacts.apk on Xperia Tipo? I put it into system/app and set permissions and it's doesn't work. Any ideas?

Every time I install it as I wrote in the first post just disappeared out of my applications list. After reboot, still does not.

Uhh... just reflash the system via flash tool... it may solve your problem...

Hello everyone ..here is the system sound from android 4.2 jelly bean ..I found that on Google ..
I only test it on my tipo so make sure to back your original files
I think this should work on miro & j & tipo dual too ..so please test it and give feedback

make sure you touch sounds are enable in settings
try manually... copy files to correct location

First, this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2554954 is for Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, Active, Ray, Live with Walkman, not for your xperia X8 or Xperia Miro
Second, you need to flash stock ftf or restore your backup if you have any backup. Hope it helps!

Gimlo firmware deodexed stock kernel bootloader locked if will be help so it its passible to get xperia z lockscreen on my Miro?

You can find the lockscreen in the forum, I forget the link
As far as I know, you just need to root and push the app to the system/app and done

[Q] xperia l wifi not working after installing custom recovery ??

I need help regarding my Sony xperia l wifi problem after installing CWM recovery.
My wifi button is not working. It automatically turns off after 4-5 seconds(like a loop; images are attached). Every thing else is working fine. Wifi button starts working when i flash my original stock rom.
This my current device status:
Model no. : C2105
Build : 15.3.A.1.17
Bootloader : unlocked
Root status : Rooted
CWM recovery installed

how do you install cwm? via kernel?

Someone gave me the link of custom kernel for xperia l and he told me to just extract the boot.img file and flash it.
Now all i need to do is to go into the recovery mode and install the custom kernel zip file.
Am i right sir?

yes thats correct....
1. Boot into recovery
2. click install zip (or update)
3. install the core ZIP
4.reboot
thats all
