Wheres the ICX game launcher gone?

What happened to the ICX game launcher. I looked on their website and couldn't find it and the threads closed, did they scrap it?

Good question.
I remember DeanBoro said that his Xperia PLAY's screen was broken, but that was like half a week after the topic was closed by request.
I do hope it eventually comes together soon though (and by soon, I definitely don't mean Gameloft's interpretation of the word) because I'd done nearly everything but completely delete the official launcher in anticipation of this customizable one.

I messaged DeanBoro about it after I saw the thread closed and this was his response.
"This is still under development but it is slow development at this moment because I am no longer working on it as my Play has been broken. HOWEVER another member of the team is working on it but ICX have alot of things to do at this moment in time i will inform you if there is any progress."
So I will be patient and if it comes out it comes out.

As he quoted above. My play has been shattered and as I don't really have an income of any sort at this moment in time apart from college allowance I do not have funds at this moment (£50) which is needed to repair the phone screen. Therefore I have handed the project over to a good friend of mine who has continued development of it although the development is slow as he has many things on his plate at this moment in time.
I would say give it another 1-2 weeks and there should be a updated thread of his with information about the Launcher. ALSO I know hes a very talented developer therefore I think he will most likely port it to all android phones.

Nope this is perfectly fine. It saves me posting the same thing to 100's more people who have inboxed me expecting a reply which I have ignored because half of them have been so blunt and ill mannered.

It's been almost 3 weeks, no news?

I no longer own the Xperia Play so therefore I do not have any content left to associate with the community.
However like I said I give the source to a friend of mine and if he decides he wants to continue development then he has all rights to =]

fma965 I will only release the source code to certain people who I know can make this go somewhere, such as Nick. If he wants the source he can have it.

Hi Nick, DeanBoro, just wondering how this was going or if it still is...? Not asking for ETA, just curious if it is still being developed on........ so we as a community know its not abandoned, and if it let us know. Agreed.. could not have said it better. With attitudes like that its a wonder devs make anything at all. When I enquired to DeanBoro some time ago about this he replied to my email and said that I was the only one he replied to because it was a sincere enquiery, his mesage box was full of ungrateful jerks chewing him out for not having released this ICX Game Launcher. Also DeanBoro does NOT have a Xperia PLAY anymore as his broke and he has no means of getting a replacement jsut yet so PEOPLE STOP B!TCHING, he did say several times that he had turned the project over to another trusted developer that is on the ICX team but that due to time and other responsibilities whether or not it gets released is out of his hands..............nuff said....
SO BE PATIENT............ I will continue every now and then enquire on this thread in hopes of some news but I am not going to write up a$$hole remarks, if people want to be like that why dont YOU work on it, then when people realize that its a difficult time consuming task and its not released others can harp on you about it....PATIENCE goes a LLLLLOOOOONNNNNNGGGGG WWWWAAAAAYYYYY, and you'll live longer......

Actually, you make a good point. However, I didn't say anything bad about the devs. I only said the app was vaporware - meaning that, while the devs may have had good intentions, the app was never released. After several promised release dates came and went, it became pretty obvious this was a tougher nut to crack than first imagined. Then the main dev ran into hardware issues. Then there were NO ETAs and no news coming out for weeks. Thus it became obvious the project had been shelved. So... Vaporware.
No disrespect intended to the devs. Heck, I'd rather have them working on ROMs any day.

i'm a 3rd year computer science student. Any chance I could have the source code? I might not be able to make much happen with it, but I might be able to finish it off.

I have to agree with him. I have nothing against the team but, its been 3 months since we got the last update. And and that feeling of being excited is just fading. I sure hope we get a new update. Not ASAP, but surely soon. n_n

Buddy actually I dont want to explain that why I posted in a rude way but there are many things going behind the curtain between the developers which you are not aware (but I am). So its not ur fault. You are right at ur point but you can look just one side.Other side is uknown to everybody.

i'm with vishal on this one ! crk1995.. u dont know things so i advice u to just calm down ! hillbeast is a knowledge person which would mean he could compile a kernel easily ! but honestly he hasnt done much ... even stock gingerbread kernel isnt out yet and its been months ! while adi_pat (aditya patange ) being a 10th standard boy (16 years old) having barely any knowledge compared to hillbeast, he backported ION and DSSCOMP with help of dhiru and Ooi Kai Sheng(14 years old developer) .... i expected a lot from hillbeast and i'm just disappointed... oh yeah for the record aditya also asked for his help and hes busy 100% of the time... i kno he has his personal life... we just wanted a little help in it ! even that he couldnt do ! i kno m rude but i just HAD to say this ! mayb we should send the device to some1 else !

King Kobra Note 3 Pledge

Hey Guys,
I am an indian note 3 user. luckily i also have an s4 i9500.
i use King Kobra ROM on it. comparing to other roms or even stock roms i see a gain of 6-9 fps whne using this ROM which is quite amazing.
And if you check this thread it has reached 30k viewers in the past weeks and more than 70 posts in which users say how much they love this rom.

This dev is also contributing on making our partition bigger since we lost 2 gigs from data partition when updating to 4.3 on i9500. he might as well do the same for you.
Also my ram usage stays at 900 mbs on idle even as i have 117 apps.
I would love to use this ROM on my note 3 and the dev wishes to develop for it. After requesting the dev to develop he is 580$ short for relaunching his king kobra team.

So 580$ will make him more intelligent?

OP I think you do not understand the word "pledge". XDA no longer allows threads such as this where users donate right away to the developer. What happens is that users post how much they would be willing to donate (but they do not actually donate it yet). Then as soon as the target amount has been met, the thread will be edited to reflect this and will be closed. After that it is up to the users who pledged to make sure the money goes to the developer.

580 would prolly buy him a note 3, genius @juan. I had an s4 an used crash rom, I recently bought an s4 for my gf and went to put crash rom on it too but I saw king cobras rom and had to use it. It looked too good. So now my gfs s4 has king cobras rom..looking fwd to see what he does. But ive seen some developers make rom without the device itself

just to mention, Philz did this on he's own Thread and he got people who donated to him, not because he asked for it but because users loved he's work and since he didn't have the phone it was hard for him to develop for it. luckily he know got the phone and the recovery is great. but he bought an s4 and he continued to develop for it and he's still developing for other phones he doesn't have, thats a great thing so can this rom dev do as well. even if he can't try it i'm most likely sure he can do exactly what he did on our I9505 to make it work with N9005 because he know that it will work due to the small difference from those devices

I thought I already told you that we do not allow direct donating to developers in so called "pledge" threads anymore as it makes it hard to keep track of who has pledged or donated what. The layout was perfectly fine before the edit seen in the screenshot.
Also to be perfectly honest, aside from yourself, there has been no interest in donating to this developer, quite the opposite in fact so I feel like I'm killing a wounded animal here... best to put it out of its misery.

don,t pay attention on him he just make fake pics. you can see even he made cynogenmod 11 before even root and now aosp he never relesased any of the rom he showed in pics. i think he made roms for his personal use only.he don,t have any thread for cm or aosp. just post images that can be made by simple editing of build.prop

Hey bro, keep calm. I know that you're working really hard on our device and I have seen your work on github. So don't worry, I trust you and thanks for the hard work you put on it. @others Guys before pointing fingers just go and see his previous threads on xda or his github account . If you still are dubious about him then go on the official fxp site and you'll find his name associated with our device. Recognised Developer title doesn't come for free over here. You got to earn it. And I know, it's really hard.
