Anyone know of PC software that can open a Backup.stg file, and let me extract the Contacts into a usable format?
I've tried STGViewer - but its doesn't seem to let me do anything with the extracted Contact files.
I've tried to download Mobile Vault from;
http://hometown.aol.com/anyware/wce/MobileVault/index.htm
but the download link isn't working.
Thanks in advance.

CompactFlashBackUpPim is made by xbackup.

possibe alternative solution
Activesync restore was telling me that the database files were in use. The running programs application in my 02 xda doesn't really show all running programs. I installed magic button and when the active sync tells restore tells me to check the running programs, I just ran magic button and killed everything except for activesync. Click on retry and the databases where restored successfully.
Hi,
sorry for my "bad" english - I do my best ...
I had PuzzleBox on my X10 mini pro. When I deinstalled it the folder where it saved ists images (on user request) was left over, I removed it with an sdcard explorer. Everything was fine.
Until I reinstalled PuzzleBox after the Upgrade vom Android 1.6 to 2.1 - now it does not recreate the Folder. I treid to Create it manually but PuzzleBox does not create the neccessary subfolders.
Who can I solve this? What is the reason for this behavior?
Regards
Andreas
Cant find the answer here or on Google .. so posting in the hope somebody can help!!
Huawei G300 needed to be Factory Reset ... followed the system instructions by allowing the device to create a Backup.zip file containing a number of *.db files and an *.xml file under the directory /mnt/ext_sdc/HuaweiBackup ... which is all fine .. but HOW does one go about restoring this data after having performed the Factory Reset????
I have searched google to the limits ... no advice unless i had used a third party Backup and Restore APP in the first place ... so it seems!!
All i need is to restore the SMS.DB file ... can somebody suggest how or point me to where i might find the solution???

Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist Save your data and copy the file to PC . If no option to save then you may need to manually write it on PC
Good Luck!
I don't want to write more than 400 notes . Is there a way to move the notes to PC .

"well , the trick is to activate WiFi connection then start normally downloading the Core zip , just don't wait the whole time, after 2 sec , disable wifi connection , open Es File Manger , Overwrite that zip which named " C.zip" which you copied befor on SD , at SD/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.translate/files/ol/v3r1/tmp\v3r1\zip , don't Forget " Overwrite ", now again activate wifi , it will complete directly and start downloading the Offline package of language , you just have to do the same steps befor and replace the language zip file on ur SD to the /tmp\v3r1\zip folder"
