The op of the thread does a pretty good job.
Crossbreeder is a random entropy generator that takes available "entropy" caused by normal system processes and puts it into a type of pool. This energy is normally wasted and isn't collected. Think of it as an energy pool where you can take energy from when needed. Easy examples of what this speeds up is the launcher, opening up any app requiring Internet (ie: tapatalk and browser). It won't actually speed up your Internet connection but will cut the querying time down significantly.
This mod doesn't include frandom implementation that is responsible for the adblocking nature of crossbreeder. If you use adaway or adblock this isn't really needed. Plus the implementation of it tends to break some processes such as Google wallet from functioning.
Is this what you were looking for?
Edit: I think I mixed something up somewhere, maybe frandom is still there, but whatever module that is responsible for ad blocking is taken out.

I'm on 4.3. It has helped with my music stopping for a sec as I open the lock screen. I like it for that reason alone.
Edit: now that I'm using the phone more I can tell a huge difference. This mod is making the phone smoking fast.

This is just a collection of random tweaks that I put together for all of you that want to see fast speed and good battery at the cost of stability. Credits go to TeamACID, ACS, Juwe, zepplinrocks, and a few others... The zip is attatched.
First, and with many thanks!
Just flashed... Let's see what happens! Thanks Marcusant!

Thankyou! Flashed and my **** wifi seems faster.
Improvement of battery life brings upon instability? Well that just plain sucks. I could really care less about overclocking. But..thats just me.
Is there a version of this tweak that might just carry the battery life end of the tweaks? Everything else can just work as it normaly would.
This is just a request...in no way is it a demand. Thank you

Are you saying stability is iffy?
One note, this changed my "Build Number" to "MarcusantROM Revival v1".
Not necessarily a terrible, horrible thing.
Other than that, this is amazing.
Thank you a million.
can you post an explanation as to what exactly this does to achieve those things?
There are a ton of files and tweaks actually included in this. Its mostly code changing/adding. For specifics, if you know the linux OS, you can peruse the files that are included in it.
I don't know which tweak it was, but one of them absolutely gave me way better wifi reception. Getting strong, uninterrupted connections in parts of my house where id normally fade in and out constantly

It works! running Revival v1 with Samurai 2.08 and it definitely smoothed out some rough edges- very zippy now. Sweeeeet! Thanks Marcus, love your work.
Installed this.... Noticed some speed improvements... But I'll have to see how it plays out... Wifi has stayed the same strength.

Not sure if it is the new Samarui OC kernel, or these tweaks, I installed both at the same time, but i am definately noticing a diference. Flick golf runs awesome!
All credit goes to Eugene 373 for making this amazing app. Works on all multi Core devises. Here is the op

Just checked this out! Fastest way to drain battery ever. My screen didn't go dark completely, it just dimmed down and stayed like that. Luckily this is a script run by Script Manager, and it's activated when you turn off the screen.
Seriously not recommended

Funny, it has been working fine for me. For anyone who doesn't use an app like setCPU and is on the OLD baseband this would be great. This on the NEW bb WITH a screen off profile is even better. It's still not pre-new base band like drain, but I don't wake up with a mostly drained battery. I just looked at faux's release notes and it sounds pretty tailored to the new bb, so I think I will see how his does alone.

Jarvis kernel already have this implemented
Excuse me folks but alot of people can't use the new faux kernel and Jarvis kernel isn't exactly stable on all phones niether, the guy is simply sharing something he found, what about Harsh, Morfic, etc??? This works wonderfully with morfics kernel on Cm7.2 stable even with undervolting, I get huge battery saving now, so be easy gentlemen

This tweak has made a big difference on my phone. It could also be the combination between imo's .9 kernel and this tweak, but my phone is running really smooth and I didnt get passed 75% all day yesterday on my battery. Also when playing NOVA 3, I noticed it was smoother. Check it out and try for yourself, heres the forum link

Installed this mod.. not sure if it's really working or not.. I ran a sunspider bench which tests rendering speed of the browser and I got a 1450ms speed on CM10.. seems like it's def faster? I'm not sure though.. I want to say I used to get a 1600ish score beforehand.
ROM/Kernel combination?
I am on Paranandroid's Hybrid CM10 based ROM with Imosyen's Lean Kernel. Has someone tried this tweak with this (or any other CM10 LK combo)? Also, does this have any improvement on HDMI/MHL connectivity? If i play vids using MHL, the video kinda flickers and frames overlap.
I asked this in the main thread but figured I'd pop it here as well. I'm on a T999v GS3 (rooted), and the flash file failed in recovery and my phone doesn't have a system directory to manually put the ecg folder in. What do I do next?
Just curious.
How is this any different than selecting this in developer options?

I have the same question as WolfePack. Would enabling gpu acceleration in developer settings do just about the same thing?
The guy states...
"On ICS and JB I don't think this tweak is really necessary, GB never had it as an option, I guess that's why it feels more effective on GB roms. It's almost as if it's already rendering for UI with GPU on ICS and JB, correct me if I'm wrong it just seems that way to me. "
"Yeah I noticed that, doesn't make much of a difference on ICS for me. If you can try GB you may see a big difference."
"On ICS I can't really notice a difference, but on GB the difference is very well noticeable."
and
"debug.sf.hw=1 does that, which is very default in most build.prop I think you don't have to mess with egl.cfg if you have debug.sf.hw=1"
and on the SGS3 default is debug.sf.hw=1 already so.....
so.. are you sure your really seeing anything? I think this is bunk for us given the above points.
installed... makes ZERO difference, in feel or scores of bench marks.
but it does install just fine
Well either it's imo's .9 kernel or this mod because I'm getting 14 hours at 48%. Your benchmark scores should be lower. At least the 3d ones. But I'm not sure what the difference is for the option in the dev options

so far... the best tweak was the disabling the sleepers... i did do the Internet tweaks... i got some of the best speed test results yet since I had the phone... but the Internet ping was short... so it may be because I was extremely close to a server...and my 4G at home is ok but not a clean 4g...so that test is not reliable... i would say it's a user preference

Best CPU Governor Tweaks?
Just curious to know what CPU Governor Tweaks are working best for people? Also, should the hardware acceleration and force gpu rendering options both be kept on together at all times for best results?

I use Tweaked 3.1 as my rom and it has always been best using ondemand for the governor... some people have used smartass when over clocking (tegrak is the only one so far reported to actually work to over clock our stock kernel) but this governor setting is not as good for battery consumption...so far I have only tested on demand(which I think is in dslices build of tweaked) some of these settings are new that I have not even heard of till this pimp my rom came out... One that comes to mind is the brazillion... the hardware excelleration I turned on but I left the force gpu settings off(I never tried it) because in the description it said it increased ram usage and the driod charge as one of its main complaints is lack of ram... these tweaks are so easy you can play and remove them as needed... that's what makes them great... it's you phone and you can make it like you like it...and if something really makes you happy... share it... please!... lol

Well, decided to just jump in and I can confirm installation running Tweaked 3.2 and latest (1/9?) Lazarus kernal. It actually booted faster than normal considering it says it clears Dalvik and settled into smooth GoLauncher scrolling right away. So I'd have to say so far so good.

Several hours later and - objectively speaking - Crossbreader has made an actual difference in performance. The real test for me is will that still be the case in a few / several days.

I am curious to know if this will work on eclipse?
In theory this should be independent of rom
Also in theory that entropy stuff is snake oil.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
I don't know about the entropy stuff though I've seen it discussed before and understand it probably does nothing but whatever Crossbreeder did to my phone has helped in the app switching department. Specifically pulling up the stock dialer and Handcent which often would lag for 5(?) seconds or more was a problem that is dramatically reduced. I have also been running v6 and semi-frequent vacuuming prior to Crossbreeder but those have been only somewhat noticeable on my phone - so CB might likely be standing on the shoulders of those scripts but this has, so far, been the best thing to happen to my phone since Tweaked came out.
