Description
Vanilla RootBox is built straight from RootBox sources and always carries a very light installation with no extra/useless apps. This means, you can enjoy a pure Android experience combined with AOKP/CM features and some CM cherry-picks. Keep in mind Jelly Bean is only at the beginning stage of development and there will be minor bugs. Every RootBox releases are stable and always up to the challenge for a daily usage. I personally have a high standard when it comes to releases and this is why this project always meets the expectations of users. If you're wondering how this ROM differs from any other AOKP roms out there, I only have one thing to say: Try it yourself and choose the one that meets your requirements.

I'm aware that Wifi-tethering has been missing on most of my Slim and AOKP-based ports, but a while back someone confirmed that it works on CM10.1.3-based roms (like ReVolt and BeanStalk 4.2.2). So I took a look inside the CM11 Wifi tether fix and here's the list of files you need to replace from the system/bin folder of CM10.1.3: hostapd, netd and wpa_supplicant.
I can't actually test if it works because I don't use data services, but if you do and it doesn't work and/or causes loss of data then I guess it can't be helped. Good luck either way!

A ROM that we want it to be. Smooth. Creative. Feature full. Without those in the credits in the box, i guess, you won't see this ROM being a combo.
What is Xylon?
A Generally based of many kinds of features around the Android Development and fits into minimal customization. It may act up like AOKP, but totally not at all. Overall, we're still in work in progress state of changing the base to slightly minimal like FNV before. This ROM is built off with GCC 4.7, O3, Linaro Strings enabled. (Galaxy Nexus Kernel, fusion with anarkia's horn, O3 and Linaro GCC 4.7.3 enabled.). Feature list will be available in the 2nd post. Changelogs. We don't usually write up but we will starting builds of 2.2.
P.S.S **** off fanboys. We're doing this for fun.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. Id like to get a build done tonight if the repo is sound. I have a grouper so the testers have to get there hands on it first and get back to me. Chances are it wont be up till tomorrow at the earliest.
Great ROM. Fast and very customizable. I change trebuchet with Apex Laucher.
Thanks,
PD I have to test wifi tethering options, i tried with stock (with patch) and modaco jr9, and i can't use it to exit internet only local network.Lets see...
UPDATE:
wifi tether works like a charm.
Thank again
Re: [3/26][ROM][4.2.2][XYLON 2.3.3][Semi-Nightly]
Rom flashed and installed. Come from AOKP 6.
I use Trebuchet with Lozone theme for the moment after will try with Nova launcher.
Thanks for all customizations. Fast and smooth. Nice work
[Edit] I've got a problem with Superuser. By the recovery or classic install.
Look these screenshots. I will uninstall withTB and re-install
After download and install Superuser (CWM) works and the binaries has been updated

Glad you got it going. I had same issue. Should be all set on new nightly. Thanks for the support.
fantastic build, stable and smooth.
Thank you for very nice ROM!
Found one issue - I can not set Ring shortcut as there is no possibility to chose anything in navigation ring settings.
The second issue is to be confirmed as I noticed problem after much settings done but I suppose that it happens when I change Navigation bar Height in Hybrid settings - I have the bottom of screen (buttons in apps, launcher - everywhere) hided under navigation and status bar and I have not find how to fix it even after I canceled more or less all changes I made in IU settings with Hybrid system. Have to flash ROM from the scratch
The ROM seems to drop some audio bytes when performance is needed. Most of the time when changing screens or app startups. It is not terrible but noticeable
I feel like this rom run hotter and drains the battery more than the original rom

I would try a different kernel if I was you. Something a little less heavy. I have another nightly. Just waiting for tester feedback.
Hi, can you PM me the link of the nightly even before you receive the feedback from your tester? I've just tested another rom, don't like it, and going back to my nandroid of this rom, thus would be great if I can start off with your new update.
I've not played with another kernel, so what's your recommendation?

Thats problem due to GApps. IDK what lib is needed for fixing it. But I'll look into it.
The GApps given here are from CM10.1 thread.

Yea i have seen, i was just summing it up
anyway ,if u have used the app can you tell me how tp configure it? i couldn't make the mounts2sd app work , i have never used it before,
its not moving the entire data to to the sd ext, and when its moving only some 100mb ... and when i reboot the settings reset
btw i uploaded the benchmarks , i can upload the screen shots too if you want

I have screenshots. Uploading them. But you can too if you want too
In mounts2sd app, go to configure. Select Applications dalvik-cache and cache (thats what I select. You can select data too if you want.)
Then scroll down, and in misc, select disable safe mode.
Then reboot.
Everything should work fine now.
UPDATE: Amal Das has confirmed that S2E for CM10.1 zip works.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2098841
Downlaod it.
Reboot to recovery.
Mount System.
Flash zip.
Boot back into ROM, open S2E. In settings tick mount as ext4.
Reboot.
Open S2E, tick whatever you want and reboot again.
@Nihar.G

@marko just flash and see (make a nandroid backup before though )
please do share if performance increases
@nihar
1)there is a big drop in the benchmark score after i restored all apps, dont know why
2) when i am making a nandroid backup in CWM6 everything is going fine but it says it cannot backup the sd-ext cos it cannot mount or something(i will again try backup and tell you the exact error)
3)wifi is not turning on sometimes(like it does in cm10b6, its getting stuck at turning on(will give you the logcat in sometime)
4)i didnt try alpha5 but i find this rom little laggy compared to cm10b6. Is Vsync enabled in this rom?
5)GPS is not locking the location, even after tuning on gps, its still showing an accuracy radius of 600mts(cos of mobile internet), and there is no icon in the notification bar , its like it didnt recognize the gps source or something. may be PMR will fix this as it did a similar problem in cm10b6(will try and update you)
alternative for gesture typing is swype, i have tried,
apart from the above problems the rom is very nice, i am using it as daily driver

i have uploaded the first build which is really a port... i wil start from today or tomorrow and our main source to fix these issues are taking resources from the Base of SII Plus mainly the Samsung Base Rom... as i have seen on many threads that sometimes fixtures can be applied from the base but if not then we will be uploading our work and resources on the OP if we have to take it from other Resources!
Great.. I'll wait for the stable version...
Sent from my GT-I9105P
just flash this on i9105(non nfc),able to boot, what's work n not work as mention at op,a great start for the unpopular i9105,hope everything will get sorted, thanks dev/op
okay guys, Now the help we need from your end is that you should test these builds and before flashing do make nandroid backups okay... and after testing let us know that what problems you face, sound, Glitches, anything.... i'll be starting off my work from today... and please no ETA's these builds esp. of CM based roms take time!

I guess the problem of vibration is present in cm10.1 source itself..?? Or is it our device only...sorry m nt a developer..

Dont worry i got the alot... The issues of vibrating i have one more idea regarding libhardware...
New tests
New testing build....
The tee folder will be replaced to check if NFC starts working
Libhardware.so will be replaced with the one from our base rom
Some overall adjustments to see issues with RIL
Btw if you all notice any more issues in the given build lemme know the issues you find.....
Edit: the difference btw the two builds on OP are that both have different DPI's thats it....
allright i tested on i9105 non nfc version-
-able to boot
-can run ussd code
-messaging work
-camera work
-v.cam work
-ril/calling not working
-vibration still not working
-performance control apps not working
no offence, but this ROM is far too buggy
without vibration and NFC is always my final limitation

i know these issues are far to be fixed but people shouldnt give up hope.. My S Advance had the sickest Novathor Chipset althought powerful with Mali400 but lack of resources so CM10 nor CM10.1 were possible but we finally now have so many running roms and even 4.2.2 is possible now...
Edit: Tried the new Build with some changed files here n there.... bootlooped... trying another new build now hopefully that wouldnt brick the phone!... Fingers Crossed X
And dont forget that some good work take time. And the s2+ Forum is still new here on xda. So it is clear that the very good stuff and a stable Rom isn't ready right now.

This is a "pure" and "full" CM source build. You may want to personalize it, and some of the 3rd party patches is on the second post.
This is also a pre-alpha release.

ROM of the best in history
Ok, awesome ROM. It's after a month that I decided to finally flash a ROM, and it was yours. Will start testing it during the day... And btw, I'll be flashing Nikez' kernel, so if you'll excuse me
EDIT: Ok, didn't know it already had Nikez' kernel... so no need for extra work Nice work, again...
There is only kernel for all JB ROMs and that's Nikez

Yep..but after building CyanoFox 4.4.4 for both phones
Sent from my GT-I9105P using XDA Free mobile app
Installed v2, works nicely so far apart from a few revolt features (ribbon, hw recent button config) but the update unrooted the phone and for two days I couldn't find any solution for re-rooting. At the end, Kingroot worked (using Mashable root tool). Install, open king user, update sw (current is 4.05) by clicking on the sw version in settings on the bottom. Retry if fails, worked at the third time for me so might not work for you the 1st time either. Good luck.
