May be you are not forced to download and flash a ROM according to your region but just download and flash the CSC according to yours.
It is as useful as you can get the newest version of Android without worrying about the provider (except for the provider like AT&T, T-Mobile and others, please do not take them).

Problems with mobile data s6 duos

Hi there,
Recently, I've been having mobile data problems with my s6 duos
I've got an s6 duos from globe, so 1 sim slot is locked to globe and the other sim slot is open line. Recently I've been having problems connecting to mobile data using my smart sim card. In the data service network, the option to choose smart for mobile data is locked/unavailable, so I can only use my globe simcard for mobile data. I've tried using a different sim but no luck.
I was able to use my smart sim for mobile data in the past. Though I have no problem receiving texts or calls with my smart sim
Advice is much appreciated
Thanks
Also, in APN under my smart sim, I get this message
"Unable to view the access point name settings. Access is restricted for the current user profile."

My guess... flash BTU ... latest UK g920F firmware. Its kind of imposible to lock 1 sim and the 2nd sim to be unlocked.
Edit: you may lost warranty after this... and this is only my guess.
Edit2: flash a costom recovery... do a full backup so if something goes wrong you restore everything

also my unit was purchased locally in the philippines, will a uk firmware work with it?
In settings search "profile" if the cell phone finds any ,post a screenshot of if... and you find firmware at samfirmware.com... or a guy have posted them in general section uploaded in google drive for better speed download

Docomo SC-01F (SIM Free) unlocked "Mobile Network not available"

Hello Guys, at first thank for all people for this forum, helpe us a lot. First time posting here.
I bought a Docomo Galaxy Note 3 SC-01F, then I wnet to Docomo Shop to unlock the SIM, the unlock worked well. I put by Odin the International rom to use the phone in my language and used in Brazil with the local SIM operator, all things worked well. So now I returned to Japan, and took a AU KDDI SIM in AU shop. The seller put the SIM, and configured the data transfer(OK) but the call number failed(Mobile Network not Available), he tried at least 3 hour. So I went to my house and tried by odin put the original docomo firmware, but the result is the same, the network data is ok, but call function return the same error. In the place of antena signal show a circle look like prohibit.
I tried other firmwares more recents provided buy this site, no result.
The IMEI is the same in the back of device.
Put the Access Point data provided by AU seller.
Tried to search the network, just show docomo and softbank, sometimes show the AU, but I try to connect give failed.
Try to automatic, failed.
I dont know what can I do more. Please anyone have some idea?
The problem is I cant connect to AU KDDI provider to make calls "Mobile Network NOT Available".

The company name is AU KDDI of Japan. When I bought the SIM, the seller gave to me these data to configure after I flash rom by odin. Because the seller did not got success in international ROM.
I did a flash by Odin the original firmware from the original company(Docomo) and put the data provided by the seller.

no problem, we are here to help.
im sure the problem is the phone, since sims, networks andphones are very different the all have some conectivity issue when you unlock it, my best advice is go to the and see if they can help you if not then try rooting it and flashing a custom rom for the phone and im sure that will help you most of the time

Well after the root you must check if device is bootloader unlock if so look for a method to unlock it, then flasha custom recovery and flash a custom rom.
Well is basically a firmware with a bucnh of customization, tweaks and mods, it also lets you use your phone software as yours not as the company whants you to use it. There you can use customs roms from other phones that are compatible( ported roms) and try them it can include fixes or be more compatible with the network

I understood and studying about it.
The first step i got it: ROOT THE ANDROID 5.0
I used the method below, and checked if success in "root checker" and other app, its OK.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/56569/SC01FOMUGOI4_SC01FDCMGOI4_DCM/
https://androidmtk.com/root-samsung-galaxy-note-3-docomo-sc-01f-on-5-0
The second step I cant do it: Bootloader check
The guides in internet say this: *#*#7378423#*#*, but in my phone I cant use the dial, show "Mobile Network Not Available"
Any other Idea or tutorial to follow? I saw other methods but cant understand.
My objective is: Try to put the firmware of my sim card owner(AU KDDI), to see if I can use the Dial.
Thank you very much

No way. Most of sim free or sim unlocked smartphonese will never work with au kddi sim cards>
the reason is au network uses cdma frequency system >
most if not all others are using gsm and wcdma
if the unlocked mobile has no cdma option in the network setting< then no way> i tried much
the au staff should have told you that>

[Completed] Have signal but not registered on network

I have Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300. When the google drive app was downloading from google play, my phone went off due to poor battery. Later when I tried to turn it ON, it has been getting stuck in the boot. So I decided to reinstall my custom ROM. Being busy with my baby, toddler, household chores and job, I gave it to my brother to flash the ROM. After a while, I noticed that my sim was bricked.
It says "Emergency Calls Only", has fake IMEI but working signal.
We did not backup the efs. I tried searching all the methods like modem installation, CSC, baseband verions, IMEI re-write, Kies Upgrade and Initialization, other people's efs restore, etc. But the problem is unchanged. Some of the followed method might have failed for not having proper knowledge like IMEI re-write tool works on specified chipset, etc.
What we noticed is that using different baseband version toggles from having network signal or no signal.
Kies shows more than four firmware versions and no other details like CSC, etc.
How do I clean up all these especially to have SIM working on my phone?
I appreciate you assistance to be brief and clear to understand steps than sending links. Because my time is stress-fully short.
Hi !
There is some confusing info in your post
What do you mean with it has fake IMEI " ? Have you changed it ?
You say that you have a working SIM on certain basebands , is this happening on a custom rom or stock ?
Have you tried to flash a stock firmware as I see that you tried to flash "your custom rom " ?
Cheers !
First of all, thank you for your response and interest to assist.
My mobile's IMEI is shown as 004999010640000 which is not original. Can you help me to change it to correct IMEI suitable for my Samsung S3 GT-i9300 chipset, if that helps in enabling sim to connect to a network? I think changing method only masks the IMEI?
I have tried flashing stock firmware and also Kies Upgrade and Initialization.
I have also changed baseband version installation on stock ROM too. I don't know which baseband is correct to keep.. for my country India or in the country where my mobile is manufactured, incase that's locking sim accessibility? Some baseband bought signal and detected the network operator name, but the message still says "Emergency Calls Only" and is unable to connect to a network.
I presume this problem arose when installing custom ROM from TWRP recovery and it messed up with efs partition?
I had successfully flashed custom ROM many times before without this problem. I think there's some next step to follow to bring back the working sim like I heard of installing modem. I did just try installing modem but same problem as my baseband is already bringing signal.
I had tested my phone from sim unlock app and found out that CSC is locked and it limited specified MCC and MNC numbers. Is this hindering connection to Indian mobile network? Or corrupt efs? Or missed to manually install something?
Bump.

XFA is the south africa CSC. where will you be using the phone? ive used the germany, uk, ireland, romanian and russian firmwares on my A8 here in the states and they all worked just fine. im betting that the phone is locked to its native CSC
i am using the phone in zimbabwe..
so if locked to its original carrier is there any way to fix it or i should take it back to xfa

the A8's are supposed to be unlocked tho. Did you buy it thru a carrier?
go to this address and search for xfa, youll see that its unbranded and should be able to be used on any GSM carrier. You might have to give the carrier the IMEI in order to get it working

Samsung Galaxy S10 (SM-G973F) doesn't register to network

I recently bought a used Samsung Galaxy S10 (SM-G973F).
At first glance the phone was in excelent shape. The SIM Card was connecting to the mobile network, and calls, internet connection, etc was OK.
But then, I found out that the phone had been rooted. Probably, by the seller. In pannic, I rushed to unroot flashing the stock Rom.
Here what I did:
1- Forgot to check my precisly CSC code and assumed ZTA (cause I'm from Brazil, and the phone is from carrier "Claro")
2- Downloaded the stock rom using Frija
3- Using Odin 3.14.1 flashed the device.
The previous rooted system was on Android 10 and One UI 2.5. With this new rom went to Android 11 and One UI 3.0.
The problem:
The phone recognizes the SIM Card. But it simply doesn't connect to the network. When I try to make a call it says: " not registered on network"
The phone DO recgonizes the SIM Card. On the SIM Card Manager shows my carrier name (Vivo) and my phone number. Also, the SIM app is showing on the app list.
Things I tried:
Rebooting the phone
Changin the SIM Slot
Testing the SIM on another device to ensure it was working
Checked if the IMEI wasn't missing/undefined. It is not, the IMEI appears to be untouched
Checked if the IMEI had been blacklisted. It's not.
Flashed SEVERAL different stock ROMS with different CSC (ZTO, ZTA, ZVV)
Try to manually select the network. This also throws an error saying "error while searching for network"
I'm really desperate and don't know what to do anymore.
No one have a clue either? :C
Look inside here:
How to Fix 'Not Registered on Network' on Android
Here is how to fix 'Not Registered On Network' error on Android. Mostly error occurs on Samsung phones, but this solution works for all android phones.
www.android-recovery.net
Wow,
This is exactly like my S10 right now.
At first, all is good, the signal was great, all working well, except cant connect to samsung pass and samsung health because it was root.
then i brought to sellular shop service, to flash the phone.
Then, “not registered to network” happened. The signal ok, the phone able to read dual simcard, but “emergency call only” and if i try to search network manually, “error while searching for network”
And the sellular shop service have no idea how to fix after they reflashed and try to fix it for several days.
Have you found any solution to fix your pho?
pls advice…

So, were you able to find a solution for this problem? I also bought a Note 9 N960F/DS recently and found out it was actually a N960N model that was changed to N960F/DS. So I did exactly what you did, I flashed the original stock rom, N960N, but now phone will not connect to network. I also did hard reset, reflash other stock roms, nothing changed. Anybody with insight should please give us some pointers.
