Yes, EDGE is 2G.
ok will all the other phone features work?
Yea it should
2g with full internet pages is pretty slow though, takes forever to load anything, sending email and stuff like that should be fine but u can scratch watching youtube videos without waiting awhile

hi,
please help if you can. i was thinking about getting htc inspire 4g from radio shack and would like to use simple mobile as my carrier. i understand that the phone has to be unlocked and GSM. my question is once it's unlocked do i need to change the access name point(apn) on the phone in order to use the internet?
thank you
anyone using Motorola Htc Inspire on Simple Moblile? any problem with internet ? do they "throttle" your usage?
Any AT&T phone on T-Mobile service will run on edge, doesn't matter which phone you use.

OK. So I successfully flashed and rooted this HTC Thunderbolt from Verizon to Page plus but the data isn't working at all. Now I did the PRL already through CDMA workshop and even tried the APN backup and Restore app. There is a manual way to input the APN under Settings just like if I would set a GSM phone up for Simple Mobile or T-mobile. Does anyone know that setting? What is the MMSC FOR PAGE PLUS? Come on Devs and local shops! HELP!
And no one allowed to get in and say it is impossible... I have done the Droid 2 Global to Simple Mobile (US Radio Band Flash), The Virgin Mobile Optimus V to Page Plus with ICS, and much more.... All POSSIBLE with Android. The calls, text all work perfectly and it is not looking for 4G LTE. I know Page plus can't help. In fact, they were shocked I got this one working. LOL. They said. "Sorry we know nothing about 4G LTE phones at this time". That because they don't program at all! You can't OTA with this model. I need ANSWERS!
I've been trying to get my NS4G on the boostmobile network. Does anyone know if I can use a Blackberry curve 8350 as a donor phone? If anyone can help please PM me. Been using my NS4G on only wifi since october now and it's awful.
I have my Nexus S 4G flashed to Boost mobile in fact.
Unfortunately, the answer to your question is, no. You must use a sanyo incognito or a samsung prevail. I used a prevail, it is a little harder than the incognito but it can be done.
For the past few days I have been playing with the MazWoz rom on a HTC EVO 4g. I like to the rom and have setup the phone for a day to day phone. However when I started this the phone was not active on the sprint network. Do I have to put the sprint software back on the phone to connect it to the network? If so I have another HTC EVO 4g I can take the sprint rom from. Does any one know if that will work?
Hello,
I am currently have an HTC One V on Virgin Mobile and was wondering if it would be possible to acquire a Samsung Galaxy SIII on Verizon and make it work as a functioning phone on the Virgin Mobile network. If you could assist me in doing so or point me in a direction where I could find out more about the process then that would be great.
I am already familiar with rooting and flashing custom ROMs. My HTC One V runs Cyanogenmod 10.1. But I do not know what I would necessarily need to do to get a different phone running on Virgin Mobile with my phone number and data, etc.
Thanks for your help,
Connor Elsea

Bump. If anyone could just tell me what to search for, or even how to get started on trying to figure this out, that would be great. Thanks!
