I've noticed that these hd games tend to have low sizes but once you start them they download like huge size data. And after you delete the game that huge size of data is still there. How do delete it?

Just get a file manger and you should see a folder with the name of the games.or if gameloft games in the gameloft folder.
If you're rooted, try SD Maid
Hi all,
I am running out of storage on my note and was wondering if there was a way of saving my games obb files to the memory card and still being able to play the games?. I know I could do the switch hack to swap the memory over but don't fancy doing that.
any ideas?
Hmm ,
Make a Folder Directory in External SD Card, Similar to the Internal SD Card.
And Try this,
It worked for me some time ago,
You can have a try too...
P.S : Make a Backup before you took any step....
Because once you lost your obb , game is lost ... as well this may affect your Game Progress

You will need root to use the app.

Better use FolderMount instead of DirectoryBind, easier to use and is still supported, so it also works with Android 4.2.2.

I tried to use FolderMount and it moved the obb files ok but then when I went to play the games (Modern Combat 4 and GTA Vice City) they no longer work. With MC4 it's starts to load like normal then just jumps back to my homescreen, with GTA it says each time additional files successfully downloaded but then freezes the Note.
Any ideas??
Well I give up!.
I have tried to use both programs to get my games saved to ext SD but I must be doing something wrong cuz I can't get either to work right.
Why o why did Samsung feel the need to stop you saving games to external SD???.
I only swapped from my Tab 8.9 cuz I was always filling the 16GB memory, I thought buying a tablet that could take an SD card would solve my problems.
Oh well never mind, thanks for all the suggestions....

of course you can, I've often done that for a few games which has quite large obb or data, gameloft, glu, or ea games, when I want to play the game, just return the obb or the data back to the original folder, then the games ready to be played back with no loss game progress, and the good again, the device does not need diroot
hi
this may be a stupid question but i have wondered this for a while now and havent been able to find it out,
when you put an apk with obb data on your phone/tab and once the app has been run, can you then delete the original obb to save space?
i keep seeing examples like one i have just put on which has an obb of about 2gig, placed in android\obb, but it still did the downloading bit when running the app, whether it is downloading or just transferring/copying the data im not sure, but i went back into it to change the soundtrack, because it just uses mp3's, and i have again noticed it has copied the entire folder from android\obb to android\data
so basically i now have 4 gig taken up for a 2gig game
Move the file from obb to somewhere else and run the game. If it downloads, freezes or errors out then you know that you must put the obb back.

Or check the app 'link2sd'

obb is needed. dont delete this. if uninstall any apk it will also delete its obb. theres no need for you to do. theres only big ressource data stored like music from games, or txture files etc. BIG data.
application data itself is stored on SD in Android folder or in data/data. theres no new to tinker there. usally android knows itself what to delete.
hi
thanks for your help and comments guys,
with this particular ea game that copied the entire 2gig obb data to the data folder therefore using 4gig of space, i tried moving the original obb to a completely different folder and the game still worked, then i deleted it and it still worked....
so no hard and fast rule then, cant just delete all of them according to bejunk, but some maybe, dont know if this is a common thing with ea or larger obb games, dont have that many games over about 400/500mb tbh

Hi guys
Been a long time since i last posted on XDA.
Back with a new thing. I have a lollipop 5.1 device running with extrordinary performence and never hangs up. But when it cones to downloading big files over any sort of internet connection the device just hanga and take a great time rebooting also.
But where there is problem there is a solution. If you are using SD card in device then unmount it from storage section of device settings and then try downloading the big application.
If the application have huge data. Let the data be downloaded in the device storage. Once the downloadng is complete. Close the play store and remount your SD card. Now check for app data which must be inside Android/data or Android/obb. Where ever it may be move it to the same place in SD card. Now go to settings and open application managment and move that app to SD card.
And enjoy the huge application on SD card without a slight performence lagging.
Hope this helps a lot of guys out there.
Peace!
