I've noticed that these hd games tend to have low sizes but once you start them they download like huge size data. And after you delete the game that huge size of data is still there. How do delete it?

Just get a file manger and you should see a folder with the name of the games.or if gameloft games in the gameloft folder.
If you're rooted, try SD Maid

Hi,
Just out of curiosity ... there are some apps that can be placed in System/app and some that can go in Data/app. I was wondering if I place apps in Data/app, will that take more out of my personal space and thereby leave less space for me to install other apps or will they all go into the space reserved for ROMS?
It may sound confusing, but am sure someone will understand what I mean.
Thanks for any input
It's all inside the internal memory, therefore it does not influence available space. I hope I interpret it correctly lol

Thanks my friend I was thinking the same, but just wanted to be sure!
No problem. You only have two different storages in your phone: internal and external. External is dubbed the sdcard, so anything that is not on there is in the internal.

Ah! ok! Now that logic certainly makes sense
Thanks again.
system/apps are preinstalled with rom. Read-only unless you have root. Deleting system app does not free up space for user apps in data/apps, but could free up ram from not running it in background. Titanium Backup can "freeze" system apps for same effect.
Deleting system app and then reinstalling from play store only takes up data/apps space, which has a predefined size of ~1.05GB. System rom size is ~528MB. Balance of the 16GB flash (~14.2GB) are for non-app storage (virtual sdcard).

Are they game data too?
I have 2 big games installed, Gangster Rio and NFS Most Wanted, and I think they are like more than 1 GB. Surprisingly, the temporary files are also showing as 1.5 GB. So, can I say that the game data is in temporary files, and that if I clear temporary files, I will lose that data?
Additional info:
I have 8 GB memory card and have around 800 MB left. No music in memory card, the photos are shown as a little more than 100 MB, 4 one-minute camera videos, and as I mentioned, two big (not too much big) games.
So, where did my free space go?
Wad u do backup temp file somwhere n delet it from sd card try playing the games and check if you have all your save data and necessary files for it if yes then delete delet the temp files if not restore them
Let me knw too

Recently I installed a game called Brave Frontier. This game require additional download from in game which is around 200mb. This data however is kept in /data/data folder in the phone. I am rooted and able to check this data with an app called "fx" downloaded from the store. Manually transfer the data will make the game to download the data again at the same place. Any ways to link this data after I transfer the file to sd card?

Can you describe your problem again? I can't understand whats exactly going on with your phone.
Iam looking for a way to move applications from phone to extsdcard with all its size look at this pic in the attachments
When I move an app to EXTSDCARD only the app size moves other than that remains in mobile phone so how can I move that entire app to extcard and if there is a way to install apps directly to extsdcard
And about those 2 files legacy and 0 they have same data same size and are taking double space how to fix that
And also realised that some games where running slower than they should like sgdeadzone and they run fine on my brothers s2 is that normal?

Moving apps to a low class sdcard will probably slow down the performance. You can use Link2SD to move all parts of the app.
Thanks but what about the other 2 issues
I tried link2sd but it the same only move app not data or obb files any other suggestions
If u have ROOT download this app called GL to SD then u press menu button and then move data. Find Shadow gun dead zone the one with the most megabytes and check that and click on move. Wait and if you want to play that game you will have to press the mount button at the very top or else the game cannot recognize the game data. Now enjoy your game.

This is 99.9% normal. Mine is like that too. Why? That's because 0 folder has the same content as legacy folder. Legacy folder has the same content as 0 folder. The content of the two folders are exactly the same so the size of the contents don't change. Depending on how many apps you install and how large are them the size will increase. My 2 folders says 42.37 megabytes because I haven't install anything yet. Yours is 1.74 gigabyte because you probably have a lot of apps or you apps are large. How to decrease them? Un install large games that you don't use anymore. Where does this size mainly come from? From the sdcard/Android/obb. Obb files are large game files that is needed to run your game. This is what increases the 2 folder size mainly. Also those 2 folders do not double. What I mean by this is they aren't 4 gigabytes in total of the 2 folders. So together they are only 1.74 gigabytes. Why? I don't know how to explain it to you.

hi
this may be a stupid question but i have wondered this for a while now and havent been able to find it out,
when you put an apk with obb data on your phone/tab and once the app has been run, can you then delete the original obb to save space?
i keep seeing examples like one i have just put on which has an obb of about 2gig, placed in android\obb, but it still did the downloading bit when running the app, whether it is downloading or just transferring/copying the data im not sure, but i went back into it to change the soundtrack, because it just uses mp3's, and i have again noticed it has copied the entire folder from android\obb to android\data
so basically i now have 4 gig taken up for a 2gig game
Move the file from obb to somewhere else and run the game. If it downloads, freezes or errors out then you know that you must put the obb back.

Or check the app 'link2sd'

obb is needed. dont delete this. if uninstall any apk it will also delete its obb. theres no need for you to do. theres only big ressource data stored like music from games, or txture files etc. BIG data.
application data itself is stored on SD in Android folder or in data/data. theres no new to tinker there. usally android knows itself what to delete.
hi
thanks for your help and comments guys,
with this particular ea game that copied the entire 2gig obb data to the data folder therefore using 4gig of space, i tried moving the original obb to a completely different folder and the game still worked, then i deleted it and it still worked....
so no hard and fast rule then, cant just delete all of them according to bejunk, but some maybe, dont know if this is a common thing with ea or larger obb games, dont have that many games over about 400/500mb tbh
