Build error, need help? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Setup my build environment according to this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2639611
and trying to build this ROM
https://github.com/CarbonDev/android
I got a build error mid way
HTML:
hardware/qcom/display/msm8974/liboverlay/overlayMdp.cpp: In member function 'void overlay::MdpCtrl::setColor(uint32 _t)':
hardware/qcom/display/msm8974/liboverlay/overlayMdp.cpp:105:13: error: 'struct mdp_overlay' has no member named 'bg _color'
make: *** [/root/carbon/out/target/product/hammerhead/obj/SHARED_LIBRARIES/liboverlay_intermediates/overlayMdp.o] E rror 1
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
target thumb C++: liboverlay <= hardware/qcom/display/msm8974/liboverlay/overlayMdssRot.cpp
make: *** wait: No child processes. Stop.
I google and got this suggesting
Try switching hardware/qcom/display to cyanogenmod 's version
What file do I edit to change this?
Thanks.

[Q] Help with CM10.2 compilation errors (from source)

Hey all, so I've built out a development environment and have followed tutorials on how to build CM10.2 from source. I would consider myself an advanced Linux user and things have been going well with the exception of these compliation errors. Any help troubleshooting these would be greatly appreciated.
Code:
target thumb C++: libc <= bionic/libc/bionic/pthread_debug.cpp

[Q] [Compiling PA] Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
I´m trying compile form PA4+ repos. I follow the step in this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/4-4-4-nightlies-paranoid-4-4-motorola-t2792041)
But no matter what I do always get the following error:
Code:
host Executable: clang (/home/levis/paranoid/out/host/linux-x86/obj/EXECUTABLES/clang_intermediates/clang)

file does not exist or wrong directory located
Please Could you point me in the right direction.
- Solution 1
Delete the all folder (Yeah .. that's a shame ..) and resync again.
- Solution 2
Check if all the depency software is correctly installed.
- Solution 3
Use a prebuilt kernel
Code:
cd /yourpathtothesources/kernel/motorola/msm8226
make -j4 O=out
cp -R /yourpathtothesources/kernel/motorola/msm8226/out/* /yourpathtothesources/out/target/product/falcon/obj/KERNEL_OBJ
cp /yourpathtothesources/kernel/motorola/msm8226/out/arch/arm/boot/zImage /yourpathtothesources/out/target/product/falcon/kernel
Hope that's help.
Try first solution first !
thank you very much for your quick response. I will prove what you said and will post the results
Thanks +h2o64 , Whith the Solution 1, was perfect. Now I have installed and working my own compiled version.
