i just install android 4.0.4 and i hate the dialer and caller id. is there a way to install dialer from gingerbread on ics? i just loved dialer from android 3.6
and i dont want to instal another dialer or caller id from market... i just want the clean dialer from gingerbread on ics

Looking for the same thing myself. I installed exDialer to use in place of the ICS dialer, but like the gingerbread version better.
Simple answer is no. The coding changed.
It's not possible.. However u can use go dialer which comes with go contacts.. U might like that one..

can i replace the htc messaging app with stock ics messaging app and what radio is reccomended for tmous users on sense 4 roms?
I can't speak for sense 4, because I know with each update SEnse becomes a little more difficult to work with, but I think you should be able to grab the Messaging.apk from an ICS build, and adb push it to /system/app.
Why not just try an alternative like ChompSMS or Go SMS?

If it's inst available for 2.3 its probably built on 4.0 APIs so of make it make it work would require a full app rebuild in guessing kinda like how apex or nova launchers won't work below 4.0
I'd say flash a ROM or update ur phone cuz there is very few phones running 2.3 these days android frag isn't where it needs to be but a least it catching up
