Anyone know if we'll be getting that ability? I know the iphone had it, makes me jealous haha.

Netflix did have a job posting earlier in the year suggesting that they were looking for an Android developer.
http://pocketnow.com/tech-news/netflix-targeting-streaming-for-android-with-latest-job-posting
Rumor has it Netflix will have a streaming Android player soon, hopefully very soon.
For now we'll wait. I wish they just used flash instead of the special plugin they require. If you change ur UA String to desktop and try to stream a movie, it asked you to install their silverlight plugin.

haha wow really. Now i just need an app that sends a message to a satellite and then it sends a laser beam to scratch my ass... (got it from a movie)
Google TV is going to support netflix is it not? and that is just android
I believe the Netflix support is because of GTV has Chrome built-in and has the tools necessary to play it. There's an Android app in dev that targets mobile phones and tablets.
its coming give it a few...im sure it will have a better ui than the one on the iphone.
Soooo amped for this. The "workday" will be so much more fun now...lol

Question about streaming. Does 4G affect streaming audio/video or does it just affect downloading/uploading a file(s)?
Figured this would be a good place to post this, but is there a good Netflix app to just manage my movies and such?
Have you tried PhoneFlicks or QueueMan? I use PhoneFlicks and it works well, I've never used QueueMan but have heard it works well too.

I'm calling BS on that app. For instance, Why does he have it priced at 4.99 and 8.99

This is my first application so please give any comment you can share so I can improve my application.
The Stig is the Chuck Norris of the auto world
Just something about “The Stig”
The Stig is a character in the British motoring television show Top Gear. The character plays on the anonymity of racing drivers’ full-face helmets, with the running joke that nobody knows who, or indeed what, is inside the character’s racing suit.

Here's a "stupid, but true" answer: I use the camera app as a mirror to make sure I don't have obvious crumbs or chicken bones stuck in my beard, after lunch, before going back to work. Dumb, but handy. I can turn on the sepia effect and I have a hand mirror that shows me what I look like, right now, in a film-noir piece from 1943.
Nice that it can be used as a "mirror", bummer that it takes pictures like a "mirror". Took a pic of me and my kid holding up an award, but the words are backwards and you cant read the award. I wanted to post the pic to share with family, but grandma couldn't read the certificate my kid was so proud of......

Qik works through its own protocols, only people who have it installed (or similar apps) will be visible in Qik contact list.
Google Talk uses gmail's contact list, and is far more useful to me. Person doesn't have to be in a cellphone to video-chat with me. I can call anyone and have voice or video chat.

Hi,
I've developed a mobile 3D scanner app for Android and could use some exposure and feedback.
This is my first Android app release and since I'm a single developer I still need some more experience in regard to the huge variety of different phones (and problems that come with such variety).
So, I'd be very happy for either buying the app ( ) or some general advices and feedback.
Thanks in advance

I just came across this. I'm doing a research project and am in need of a really basic cheap 3D scanner. Has this been updated at all in the past year? The app on the Play store shows the last update as Sept 2011. Did you just stop work on this all together? Are there any alternatives that will give me an .STL file?

I usually just uncheck screenorientation and then use snote in "landscape" i find snote better cos it has other cool features. I have physics course at school now and I honestly have no idea on the math part cos its been 2 years since my last physics course. Luckily I just bought my note 10.1 and I do all my homework (when I do) with it and when im on a lesson im the first one to finish our tasks cos i use snote my teacher asked me how i suddenly can do it so fast and i told her that im just so freaking good. I'd like to see her face when shes checking my exam which I obviously have to do without my note.. that's a little off topic but I find it to be a very good example on how good our device actually is

Did anyone come to any further conclusions. I've had a look around the play store, and the main options I can see that remain even remotely affordable are:
- mindmeister
- simplemind
- iMindMapHD (more pricey)
- connected mind
- snote with shapes enabled (I find these hard to edit)
But none claim any form of stylus support
Any feedback on which are the most usable for quick editing, navigation, use of handwriting (to name a node, or add notes to a node) and especially any comments on whether or not the spen helps

Mindjet
I've been using the Mindjet program in windows version for years. I've tried many Android apps, but I went back to Mindjet because
1. It works the way I do.
2. You can customize the look a great deal.
3. You can standardize node to make it easier to recognize later.
4. The files are compatible with the Windows version.
Your mileage may vary.

Interesting idea, but the app is £5.50, has no comments & minimal description -- though the pictures look nice
Any app at that price needs either a demo period and/or restricted free version so that the user can see if it's suitable
http://elevenworks.com/touchdraw-features/ gives some info (though android isn't listed on their website), though again it's unclear how usable the s-pen might be, or the app generally.
I've sent them some questions at https://twitter.com/touchdraw
