both the phones are in the same price range, which device should i prefer? ill be mostly watching movies,i am kind of ok with fixed storage of moto g,which one has better screen??
Hmm..quite the dillema
Look bro...
Both the phones are quite good.....
If you prefer performance like gaming then i will suggest Moto G as it handles most of the games at high settings lagglessly (Also our magnus can do this)
But MAgnus has a larger screen with 720p display....so magnus is sure selection while going for watching movies ( Both 1080p as well as 720p)
So the choice is yours....
I have myself purchased Magnus and is quite impressed with its functionality and performance
It depends on you buddy. Both device are good and best in price range. If the storage and camera is not ur concern then u can opt for moto g. As moto g has slightly better PPI in his screen which delivers more sharp and crispy display output.Even the Kitkat(4.4.2) update is released now for moto g. Even magnus will get Kitkat in Q2 of 2014. Performance also they both are nearly same.
Go with Moto G

Go with Moto G. Because, me and my friends are bought Magnus A117. the device only worked for 10 days from purchase date. after that day by day we're faced lot of problem in that device. Now both devices are in Delhi MMX service center.
Look at the after purchase service.. At least mmx have service centers for replacement and other things..
Just in case if tour headphones stop working you can get replaced by serving in mmx, but what about moto g?
Another thing, it have non expandible memory and you can't pull out its battery.
It means if phone hangs, it's gone..
Non removable battery kills the scope of Android development also.
Except Ppi everything is lower or similar to magnus. Even human eye can't identity Ppi beyond 250 or something, but still more ppi are preferred.
A difference is there in camera MP also, I feel that camera of magnus is awesome and can't be compared with 5 MP.
Metal body is a premium looking thing for us.
Choose wisely..

i bought canvas magnus and within week moto G was release.
In one hand i prefer canvas magnus or any similar phone is SD card support. Both phone are good spec wise but update wise moto G is way better. Moto G may be better with build quality and screen or battery life. But for me removable battery and sd card support is deal breaker.
So, if you can live without SD card support and removable battery, look no further than Moto G, all other "features" from any company are just gimmicks for me. I prefer feature which i might use and need instead of "extra" feature and such include "so and so Mega pixel" camera, i have 14Mpix cam why would i need phone cam with crappy optics anyway.
Support wise i'm not sure how good it is, i have heard negative about many Indian brand support but i have enough bad experience even with international brand as well when it comes to warranty. Its circumstantial, it can go either way but good brand does have better after sale support mosty quick turn around time. I had my karbonn a15 repaired and fixed after 3 months but atleast it was fixed and solve.
Moto G maybe
I think if you don't need SD card slot, you must take Moto G, howewer Moto G has CyanogenMod and other custom ROMs which not ported for MMX A117... But think for youself...

pleasee help herefor confusion. as you have used the phone, tell about battery backup. And also whether the phone is durable quality wise. or it shows propblems after few months.
Magnus
I waited for two months for Moto G but bought Magnus just before Moto g launch in india.
But i am glad i did that.
Storage will be issue with Moto g, as in a smartphone data will going to increase with time, also Camera is far better in Magnus.
Yes, Moto G has kitkat and really great in terms of performance but Magnus 4.2 is not bad at all, also can be upgraded to kitkat in future.
Take your decision wisely.

To run Asphalt 8 in high settings u need class 10 mmc. otherwise on class 4 mmc with medium settings it runs lag free. Gta also runs flawlessly..

dual sim
front cam and 3mp camera
but while in samsung galaxy y

832mhz processor
larger 290 mb ram
i m so much confused between these cell phones
i have normal use of phone

plz help me i m so much confused......

Wrong question
questioin should be like this micromax or spice mi 350n
just a joke.
samsung is a big brand with no front camera no flash small screen but youwill have good accessories with it like screen guard etc
spice mi 350 value for money have everything that micromax has but with no flash for camera and less around 1000 rs. spice with auto focus and better video recording 480p with 30fps but micromax has 15fps{don't no about video size, nobody tells}
using spice for more than two week. ask any specific question or else just google,
dapeng a75 and galaxy
which is micromax a75. Supposed you are talking about DAPENG A75 phone. It is 5", large touch screen with ANDROID 4.0 ICS os. I found a place to see that phone: TOTHEBARN dot COM
One thing buddy
Samsung is a brand..
And i don't know about your area but in especially in India after support of micromax just doesn't exist just Google about micromax after service problem you will know.
So if you want to buy a mobile and you think your mobile is made by gods hand which will never get damage than go for micromax..
Go for galaxy y i m using it since 1.5yr with no fault
we all should be polite enough to press thanks for anyone who helped US.
how you are convinced ??
may i know wat phone u have bought ?? and are you satisfied with that phone ??

AFAIK micromax phones(a50,a75,a87.....) when compared to sgy are far better in performance.
Hence choosing mmx is right in many ways...... except service

is it having good sound quality i.e. speaker and voice quality over 2G & 3G
what about the 8 MP camera i know it wont give that awsome quality but is it equal to 5 MP xpera sola 720p????
Can it run HD games
Does it give the dual core performence or its just a trash.
Guys i have to collect money for buying this device and i would like to know about this device....
sorry for wrong section plz delete it
These are two notable quad core phones under Rs 15,000. Here is a comparision of the phones based on their features.
Micromax Canvas HD A116, when it was launched earlier this year, was the first smartphone in India under Rs 15,000 to have a quad core processor. It was booked by many and is still in great demand.
Now Xolo, a brand of Lava International, has launched the Xolo Q800, which too has a quad core processor but costs almost Rs 1,500 less at just Rs 12,499 against Canvas HD's Rs 13,999. So is it wise to buy the Canvas HD now for Rs 13,999? Let's compare the features of the two Android smartphones. Read more:
http://www.themobileindian.com/news/11153_Xolo-Q800-vs-Micromax-Canvas-HD-A116
Why I bought the XOLO Q800 instead of the Micromax Canvas HD A116
The Micromax Canvas HD and the XOLO Q800 are equally great phones. I personally think that a 4.5" phone is still okay and fits properly in a pocket - at least that's the max I can live with considering everyday use.
As for PPI, 245 PPI on a XOLO Q800 is good enough compared to the 294 PPI on the Canvas HD.
The camera is considerably better thanks to the BSI (or w.e sensor) on the XOLO Q800. Of course the Canvas HD has a 2 MP front camera.
And finally the build. Well, guys, I think the XOLO Q800 pawns the Micromax Canvas HD in terms of looks. Anyday!
Will be back with some great screenshots once my friend buys the same cell next month!
Nice info
but i think micromax canvas hd is well known in youngsters compare to XOLO Q800. what u say?
Please dont buy these devices... I personally dont trust both of them...my friend bought xolo 4 months ago and It is in problem right now..
And micromax is worst one... And these companies are not so much xda supported devices and dont ask about hardware quality

Time will tell buddy.
But i've seen many people using a Micromax. They don't usually go kaput unless mishandled.
Ultimately it's upto you how you handle the phone.

i have micromax a90 working well .... it is 8 months old ,,, i rooted it and installed MEGAMAX rom which shows it has dev support.
Xolo T1000
Between These Two I would Prefer Xolo for its Hardware..(Both have same s/w )
But i would suggest u to wait until xolo releases its T1000 and Q2000 models these are way better than these two...
Last Month of may is the speculated release...
Recently Q1000 launched by Xolo. This phone got very good editors rating. I can say this phone comes with really amazing features...
If you want proper dev support don't buy any of these.
Your choice.
Hi guys,
I am currently using Xperia L and I really love it but the new Moto G looks promising with quad core capability.
I am not so expert in hardware but I do know that Quad Core phones like the Micromax, Xolo etc etc in same price catagory can't even play graphic intensive games which Xperia L handles smoothly.
So is it the same case with Moto G?
Is the hardware superior or inferior to our Xperia L?
What could be the difference between KRAIT processors of XL and ARM v7 processors of Moto G?
Only downside of Moto G is that it does not have Expandable Storage..
Still I need more information from you guys..
Should I switch to Moto G or Stay with my lovely XL?
In my opinion you should buy it.I mean almost everything is better about motorola moto g.
1)bigger screen,higher ppi & resolution
2)IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen + corning gorilla glass 3
3)Storage: if you get the 16 gb version you'll be good even without an sd card
4)Good camera.I mean when someone asks you to take a photo you just take the damn photo.Noone will have a screen to watch at full resolution to see it would have been better with 8 mpx.XL camera is better, except the bug in video recording(low light and different bugs on previous fw).thank god they finally fixed at least photo camera...still in my opinion the pics should have more details...Front camera is better on motorola.(1.3 mpx vs vga)
4)KITKAT over JB.Way to go moto g
5)Newer Chipset on motorola. It's the chipset from Xperia SP.but it doesn't have Krait CPU,it has Cortex - A7 quad core clocked at 1.2 ghz(even if it could run up to 1.6 ghz).IMO it's a little better than XL.Just look how well it handles dead trigger 2: link
6)GPU it's the same
7)bigger battery(but non-removable).
Yes, the moto G is waay better than XL in all aspects except non-expandable storage.
Make the switch if you have the cash man.. I would exchange my XL for a Moto G anyday.
Don't think just make the switch
Should make switch if
• you want to miss KK
• dont want quadcore cpu & adreno 305 combination
• dont want better front cam
• better display and dev support :good:
• dont want better phone
Its better than XL in many ways
Well I would like to suggest for Moto G. Reason behind Moto G:
- Newer Android version
-Better Display
-Little bit better CPU and chipset
Draw backs are
-No expandable memory
-I am sure Moto G can't compete the sound quality of XL
-Not that premium feel build like XL
But, I am pretty sure Motorola will not provide crappy and buggy firmwares like Sony. Go for G

Yes, you should make the switch. I have the Xperia L and my brother has the Moto G, he upgraded over the Xperia M (which is quite similar to the L) and was very happy with his decision. The Moto G it better than the L in nearly every aspect excl. camera, no expandable storage, no NFC... Although I must say for the 5MP camera is takes great pictures and front camera is far better than the miserable thing we get on the L. Plus the Moto G is cheaper. So go for it. You might want to take into account the fact that Motorola was recently sold off from Google to Lenovo. Although Lenovo said that they won't mess with the future schedule of Moto products. But the G has got a great Kit-Kat anyway (I have tested it myself).
Edit: Also in terms of build quality, sure the Xperia L looks a lot better (my opinion), but the Moto G feels a lot sturdier in hand.
Atleast moto g does not have multitouch issue....

The sound quality of Moto G is excellent, the music with speaker has a very good quality and powerfull
Personally, I don't think it's worth the switch.
If you're switching from Xperia L to something else, I advise you to switch to something more powerfull, for instance, a Nexus 5. Otherwise you'll just recieve nearly the same device.
thank you very much for suggestions guys....
I will switch to Moto G probably by next month.
Also I need to ask one thing that since I have rooted my XL can I still unroot it and flash the stock rom?? so that whoever takes my XL can avail the warranty which my XL still have it.
I have not unlocked my bootloader, only rooted with script shared with our fellow xda member.
So if I flash the stock rom back again it will not hamper the warranty right?
I still love my XL though but its the battery which is really making me to switch + the official 4.4 update
I am not a hardcore gamer but do play games like PVZ, Candy Crush and browse on the internet a lot and open big office files which reduces the battery of XL drastically.
I have heard that Moto G has good battery backup which can last for atleast 1 full day on medium to high usage. I haven't confirmed that.
I do want to get the higher end phone but budget is tight and I really like the Moto G after seeing it from one of my friend.
Thank you very much for replying and giving your valuable suggestions.

Looking forward to your list.. I would suggest Lenovo P780 would be the best phone for you.. As per my experience.. I've used it personally & as per performance it's pretty good at that price.. P780 is best known for its battery life.. Currently unbeatable.. As compared to other phones in the list.. But before buying P780 just keep one thing in mind.. There are two models which are available in the market right now.. 4GB & 8GB.. 4GB one has internal storage shortage as half of the memory is used by the OS.. So go for the 8GB one.. If you need any more information please revert back..
