I use cm11 by dhacker29 and the only bug I have is, that sometimes the Lockscreen does not respond after wakeup. It is a known bug and surely the devs will find a solution. Evereything else works, at least for me. Fast, stable and good batterylife. :good: Take a look at the thread in the dev-section for more informations.

Defective SIM card slot

I'm losing my mind, I've tried a million time but when I put my sim card in I hear the click, but the card stays in place only for half a second, and then the slot releases it automatically. Does anybody have the same problem?

I've had to send mine off for repair for this. I'd be curious to know how many other Moto G owners have the same problem.

try to put a layer of tape on the back of the sim card. That should fix the problem.

Moto g Miracast

O bought a netgear Miracast double and I can't connect to it, I spoke to Motorola and they said that isn't compatible with Miracast, but I'm running stock 4.4.2 original firmware and it was there castscreen option but doesn't have the button to activate, is there a way to put the phone working?

Try Skifta, or some other DLNA app.
Thanks for the app, but that is only the wifi direct service, what I really want is the Miracast

Maybe the next update. The Motorola messed up the framework-res.apk and we donr have the settings button in the Cast Screen option, as you mentioned.
Or maybe they make it work

Well I what I can say is, Froyo and Gingerbread could easily be rooted using tools such as Z4Root but I believe these don't work on layer platforms.
I would have to say, it may be hard but not impossible? But it would recommend rooting your upcoming Moto G using a PC, its much safe and can be done with a single click.
Great things come in small packages.

[Q] How can I use a pendrive for storing app data?

Hi,
I just got a moto g (running KitKat), and it does have otg support by default (I've tested it)
But the option of moving app data to usb isn't there in the application options.
Do I need a fresh pen drive for this? because I'm currently using a used pen drive with a lot of other data on it.
Please tell me how can I go about using it for storing apps. Thank you
Is ya USB stick like mine

The question is running apps/games from flash drive. Example: placing large game's data(.obb files) in flash drive and play. Could you verify this?

Does anyone ever have problem with 1+ otg? I have to use external power to make it work. Else, it wont read anything.

No issues here.
I just tested a stick as well as my wireless mouse, both work fine.
No problem for me. Was able to restore my titanium backup from my usb stick.

are you guys using the OTG drive or the OTG cable?
Working fine.
I used a 2 inch otg cable with a 32gb thumb drive.
