How to install... Better instructions here for novice..
1. Install the recovery .img
2. Use "Recovery Manager" apk to install this recovery...
3. on your sdcard there will be a folder "recoveryy" (note 'yy'), place this recover image in that folder.
4. Install from "recovery manager".
Alternative...
You can use "Android downloader" tool to directly flash the recovery...
Purpose of this recovery...... I can see only few... To clarify others doubt...
1. We can utilize latest format of updater/update scripts... while flashing....
2. It does backup of sd-ext also.. not sure if u hv observed for v2.5 or not...
3. Better and faster....
4. Most important... A recovery have nothing to do with any ROM... so it's 2.1 or 2.2 or 2.3... Its sole purpose is to backup the partition

For those who are using the recovery for first time
1. Root ur phone. check here
2. install busybox from market.
3. Install "recovery manager".. check there is a "recoveryy" folder on ur sd card is created.
4. Download the latest recovery or the v2.5 recovery.. links on my signature..
5. place the downloaded recovery in "recoveryy" folder and flash it via recovery manager..
For those recovery 5 isn't work.. try v2.5 recovery first..
Follow the instruction carefully...
A better way of doing this on the way.. stay tuned...

Sorry for d delay friends......
I did tested things.. nd all work fine.. jst usb toggle isn't work this time again..
it's detecting my sd-ext partition too... since i don't hv anything on sd-ext not sure if it will take backup.. for first few test it hvn't created any backup...
so just wanted to double sure before i post here.. that you guys don't loose ur valuable data of sd-ext..
so please b patient...

@ngage_me-yes you did that again by making a new recovery as u made earlier, just one bug as you said in the mount corner except everything is fine........

confirmed successful flashing with android download tool on micromax a60.

Stuck at Micromax Screen
I installed the recovery from Recovery Manager App.
Now I get stuck at the Micromax Boot Screen whenever I try to enter recovery.

@ngage_me Yours Eclair recovery is working but Froyo one is giving error in Android Download Tool and when installed through recovery manager, it is stuck in micromax logo.
Note:- In Eclairs recovery , the kernel version of froyo (in About) is not changing and everything is working.

OK cool!!! seems u messed of few things...
Try factory reset from recovery....
else
follow this... (2.1 original rom)
1. download full dump, link available in signature..
2. In case Android tool is detecting ur phone gr888.. just flash all the image available in the zip... MAKE SURE U HIG ERASE CHECK BOX WHILE FLASHING..., else first install the usb driver available in zip...
3. then repeat the step 2.
i sure ur phone will be back on working.... u can directly flash this recovery instead of using stock recovery from zip...
later u hv all options to using ny other rom...

which rom are you on.... in case froyo recovery hv problem i want to stop my Claro frnds to flash before i fix up the things....
It won't change anything in About... cauz that purely depends on boot.img and so not to worry...

@ngage_me I am using Jet 2.1 (froyo one) and yours froyo recovery is not working (not installing through ARM 11 and if installed using recovery manager it stucks in micromax logo when going into recovery), but eclair recovery is working I have taken backup from it and everything sceems fine even sd-ext was backedup.

Hi Gurus,
I have always got all my answers on XDA-developers.com..... You people are simply the best.... Thanks for your support always.
I got my new Canvas 2 two months back. I have a problem that my GPS is not responding. I have googled a lot for the same and all reply that only method is to root my phone.
Also to note that I have already upgraded it to Jellybeans yesterday, but still GPS is not responding.
Now I think of rooting my phone but I have a clear idea that it will void my warranty. But I am very sure that XDA-developers will surely have some method out here to root the phone and again unroot the same so that I can gain my warranty back.
Please do help so that I can resolve my GPS issue I am really stucked.

Yes we are here to help you . Yeah you can root pr unroot your device anytime as you want . just install MTK tools and flash it with a custom rom . i will suggest you SUVI ROM V6 Hit thanks if i helped

First you need to download your device drivers and install it to your computer .
2. download Suvi rom from thred section
3. extract it in a folder
4. switch off your device , remove the bettery
5. press + and - volume and Power keys together .
6. install apx driver
7 . A popup sound cm
8 . place files in MTK TOOLS which you have extacted it in a folder and start the installation .
switch off the device after success .
Done . Enjoy your rooted device .. HIT THANKS

now that you are here i request you to please explore the community.
i am posting the solution for your problem, however i advice you that from now on before posting a query, or starting a thread, please go through the threads, as many problems have already been sorted and solutions are already there, moreover by going through the threads you will significantly increase ypur knowledge abt the device, etc
SO HERE IS YOUR SOLUTION
or all of those who are facing this problem, i am posting the link here follow the instructions given there,
1) http://d-h.st/zEb this is for the official mmx jb 1.11 rom
2) http://d-h.st/2Hn this is vcom drivers( download it and install it on your pc/laptop)

4) http://linksredirect.com/?pub_id=562...ak733itivap95w THIS IS CWM RECOVERY FOR MMX A110( download this file on your computer and rename it " recovery.img" without quotes offcourse

now to begin, first install mmx a110 drivers(connect your phone via usb now swithch off phone without disconnecting, wait for a few min drivers will be installed,) second download file no 2 (vcom drivers) install them on your pc/laptop
now if you have already flashed jb 1.11, then open sp flash tool, click scatter loading choose MT6577_android_scatter_emmc.txt, it will load everything , now deselect every option except recovery( very imp make sure u deselect every option except recovery) click on recovery and choose the file you downloaded in option 4( and renamed recovery.img)
now turn off your phone, take out the battery, and keep it aside,
in sp flash tools click download button(not firmware upgrade) after that connect your phone(in powered off battery rmoved state) via usb, and you will have cwm recovery.
now after flashing, close flash tool, disconnect phone and power up,
now transfer the files you downloaded in step 5, to your sd card. now switch off the phone, hold vol down +vol up+ power button, get into recovery follow instructions there and get into cwm recovery, now choose option install from sd card and go to the files you transferred to your sd card from pc(one u downloaded in step 5) and just install them, NOW GIV URSELF A HIGH FIVE YOU HAVE ROOTED UR MMX

if you want to unroot just flash the official mmx update via sp flash tool. and your pfone will be stored to factory condition

Can u pls explain the process with screenshots that how to unroot canvas2 to official jellybean??

i am sorry to ask this noobish question but i wanted to update my a110 from ics to jb but i got confused so much couldn't find the valid zip file to flash from stock recovery
i tried Sp tools first but they don't detect my phone ,i have all drivers installed twice
so can anyone give me what zip to download by which i can apply update from sd card and get jelly bean on my canvas2

hhmmmmm..... so now u need to fresh stock rom, working usb cable, sp flash tool & a mmx110 mobile
i think u have all the stuff....before beginning remove ur current driver & download new driver of cynus t2 & install it link here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167244 thread by Dark4Droid

2. load scatter file
3. press download button
4. switch of ur phone

[FIRMWARE][Rooted ROM] XOLO Q1100 Stock Firmware

I have worked with some XOLO Q1100 folks and we have finally created Stock XOLO Q1100 backup. I was just viewing my FB account and then I got a message from Vallabh who gave me list of all partitions. After that I made a script to backup stock firmware for XOLO q1100 and he passed it to Gaurav because his ROM was much tweaked. Finally Gaurav uploaded the ROM and I am now posting it on XDA.
This is the first XOLO q1100 firmware release and I am proud to do so with my friends!

100% tested and working. A person bricked his device n after using my firmware, it got fixed!

see bro...add that .bat file n other extracted files in the folder which has all the images. Boot your device t bootloader and connect through USB. Execute my script to flash your device...then reboot..IDK What he has done. He has not modified much rom.

Just a pointer for someone looking for further guidance on how to use the files shared by OP.
1) Root into fastboot mode by pressing both Volume Up & Down keys along with Power key. You will boot into black screen
2) Open the script bat file
3) Now connect the phone via USB to PC and files will start copying
4) Once all files copied, take out battery, restart into recovery and wipe cache & data
5) Restart phone into normal mode

After flashing i pulled the battery and then rebooted the device it was on xolo logo for too long so i again removed battery and tried to reboot but now it doesnt boot or get in recovery or can be detected in fastboot

After copying and loading recovery, i see a chinese recovery ....
HOW to wipe CACHE and data

Wifi Problem
I have flashed this room on my and my brother's mobile. Both the mobiles are working fine but unable to connect to my WiFi-router at the same time. i am surprised to see that both the device have same MAC address.
So can anyone help me in this? i have flashed the stock firmware also but it doesn't helped me either.

hi I am a user of xolo q1100. my phone is stuck on logo.i done factory reset but problem not solved.i tried qfil but the firmware doesnt contain firehouse mbn file.i tried emmc software download tool.but i gives error 0x0004005 while switching to download mode. i chaned cmw to e3 but it gives error signature verification.i wnat to back cmw how can i changed to another twrp.plz i want to my phone back to a condition.plz help me guys.

Can you also provide original firmaware and steps to install it in case i want to get back to original rom after installing custom rom.

Desperately waiting for it so that i can install the custom rom.:fingers-crossed:

Not able to flash custom rom on my canvas doodle 2 when tries it gave error .i am not able to find wipe davlic cache option in recovery mode even after rooting the phone. Can this be the reason? If yes than how to solve it. Thanks in advance.

Have you Installed CWM Recovery ?
If no... please install it via SP Flash Tools or MobileUncle..
Recovery.img is attached here....
Steps to be followed:-
1. Download Recovery.img and copy to root of phone.
2. Install Mobile Uncle Tools from Google Play store
3. Select Flash Recovery From SdCard option from MobileUncle Tools
4. Select Recovery.img... Flash... Reboot...
5. Enjoy new freedom... for flashing custom rom's.

Problems which I faced is the pure white keyboard ; camera not working ; audio profile not working

dark side expera ultimate rom not working. noting happens after installing rom it does not go beyod the experia logo.

Do you have Stock rom?
If yes...
Flash it via latest SP Flash Tool...
1. Switchoff your phone..
2. Open SP Flash Tools..
3. Select scartter file... from stock rom folder
4. select firmware upgrade option..
5. click on download...
6. now attach your phone with computer.. don't switch it on....
7. if you have all drivers installed .. i.e. mtk65xx pre-loader, vcom drivers... then flashing shuould start and complete in 5 mins....
8. keep your box of phone handy along with MTK Droid Tools 2.5.3 as you may need to restore your IMEI number...

I found following problems in the ROM:
1. Resolution of camera is limited to 6M
2. Camera not detecting internal SD so not working.
3.not able to install any app from play store because of SD card prob.
4. On boot first Sony xperia z2 is shown than boot logo of doodle comes if logo of doodle can be removed than it will look great.

Kindly help me in installing mtk driver. First I will like to confirm that can I use them in windows 8. Problem I am facing is when I connected my phone in switch off condition mtk preloaded was flashed in device manager but as soon as charging starts it disappeared.

1. Install these drivers... VCOM first... before connecting your device... and use MT65xx to upgrade drivers if you see your device already installed on device manager
2. Click Install drivers anyway... if you get a security prompt...
3. completely switch off... device... wait for 2 minutes...
4. Start SP Flash Tools... Load Scartter File....
5. Select.. Firmware Upgrade... click download...
6. Attach phone to pc... now all should be fine....
7. windows 8 should not be a major issue... i have win 7... but yes... can not test it... so can not promise...

Will you remove the bugs in your rom and repost it. I really like the interface of your ported rom.

I have installed the Darkside Zyvex rom and it runs great.
UI is very good,feels like using kitkat but there are some bugs like the audio profiles does not open, camera app not working and the icons are a little big and also apps don't move to SD card. Please can you fix them?

When multilanguage ROM will it be available?

I have also installed the Zyvex Rom, facing the same problems, :crying:
Hope Megatron007 fix all the bugs soon. :angel:
