there r are no such launcher is available if u have root then try the apps from playstore it must work..

Stock Xperia Launcher can not make this work. You have to install third party launcher or any other app to hide your apps. There are planty of apps and launchers available in play store which are able to do that. Just google it and don't claim none of them works.

You have to root your XL, install Xposed and then install Xperia Xposed module. You'll find a Xperia Home menu inside, where you can hide apps.

I too hide apps using "Serajr's Xperia Xposed". There's another Xperia Xposed - probably GEM Xperia Xposed which does not work for me, so all the unnecessary icons I hide using Serajr's Xperia Xposed, and then reboot via Xposed Installer.
Here's the link for Xperia Xposed & Follow the instructions carefully:

you can install xposed installer and use serajr xperia xposed module with it. it has an option to hide apps from our stock launcher.

if u have root then try this app for hide >> " audio manager ( hide it pro)" download it from playstore
and remember u can't hide apps untill u grant root access

@serajr Xperia Xposed, works flawlessly. You just need to reboot the phone after selected the apps to hide.

you can use nova launcher for it! otherwise if you want to hide that app by its own then you have to edit manifest.xml
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hit THANKS if you appreciate my work!

Please be specific about the apps you want to hide
If you're talking about system apps like google plus or chrome then go to app manager and disable it.
It will uninstall the updates and hide the app from your launcher

[Q] Help needed in Cyanogenmod 10.1

I have galaxy tab 2 wifi p3110. I rooted it and installed CyanogenMod ROM 10.1 on it. I am satisfied with it. However, I would like to change 2 things.
I prefer Google Play Music than that stock Apollo music app. I cant find a way to uninstall that app.
Does uninstalling it affects the CM RoM?
Also, I like the background of the app drawer to be transparent not black bcoz I dont like that Background. So, please help me out..

1) go to root/system/apps, find apollo music apk and delete it..
And it will not affect the rom..
For other system apps I suggest you to use app like root freezer, freeze the system app first to see weather it affects the functionality or not and then uninstall it(the app ahs the opt to do that)
2) every launcher has that feature :silly:
if it's helping you it must be thanked.

its very easy bro!
follow these steps!
1. download root uninstaller from play store
2. open it, when it asks for root access, allow it!
3. find whichever app you want to delete!
bravooooooooooo!!! u deleted it! ))
:good::good:
Rooot uninstaller works too.
So does Titanium Backup.
As for transparent back you can get nove launcher.
go to nova settings> app drawer and then choose desired transparency.

Looking for a lockscreen app launcher

Team,
I have been searching for an app that will allow me to open an app (Note Anytime), from the lock screen. I have researched may apps that apparently can do this but I haven't found one that is compatible with my XZT.
So, has anyone found such an app that works with this kit?
Thanks

Install Xposed Framework and then install Gravity Box. It has what you want. Your XTZ should be rooted.

Thanks for the tip - but I cannot root the XTZ or I will lose SkyGo! I need an un-rooted solution.
Rgds
Not sure if valid but, Try widgetlocker from play store

PS I can't attach any link or file of GNL and Google Search apks extracted from my device! If I can I try to put a link in the comments
Oh no! I can't put any link! And I can attach files only from my gallery or my camera!
However, I ve got android lollipop google now launcher and google search. Thanks
Hey DgDav99, you can install "XGEL Settings" which is an Xposed module. This will allow you to completely modify Google's Experience Launcher as if it is Nova, Apex, etc. This will allow you to add a column, and also keep the quick swipe for Google Now. Hope that helps! Just note that you obviously must have root access to install Xposed.
He mentioned that he was using Lollipop.
As of this moment, Xposed is still not functional on Lollipop so theres no way he can use XGELS.
Sorry buddy but to be able to modify the GNL, you will have to go back to 4.4 at least and then root it, install Xposed and then install XGELS.
If you don't want to do that, you can use a different launcher such as Nova Launcher as of the current beta looks a lot like GNL and is highly customisable.
The only downside is that there is no "Swipe to left for Google Now"

I think some people need to learn how the hell to read stuff before popping off at the mouth.
Sorry, I didn't explain me. I'm on kitkat 4.4.2, but I'm running the GNL of lollipop(I don't remember the version)!
However, I know xGELs module, but I prefer waiting xposed for lollipop because my phone will Be updated soon. I only would like to know if there were others methods to modify GNL (for example modifying apk...) thanks

I'm not sure if there's a way to do that but you can use Xposed Framework with Xposed GEL Settings module to accomplish what you wanna do while on KitKat 4.4.2 until your phone is updated like a previous user mentioned

You can post a link as long as you put a space in the middle, like google .com, and even putting the link in the browser, people can just take out the space.

Ask the developers of the apps and themes! ?
Andromeda is Oreo only at this point, you probably have pie. (It even says so in play store)
Swift installer works great so I'm happy

You might be right about that, but you never know. Pie restricts 3rd party theming without root access (which i hate pie). So rooting might be essential for OP if OP decides to get/already has pie.
