[Q] Apps Stopping on Canvas Magnus - Micromax Canvas Magnus A117

Just got my new Canvas Magnus A117, but some apps( see below) are not opening on this
Any do

Any one facing same issues? any idea why is this happening?

Flash the latest firmware using SP Flash Tools.. The per-installed firmware has some bugs..

Thanks Siddhesh for the reply, Can it be done from micromax service centre as i don't want to void warranty so soon

you can do via service center but i doubt the availability of latest firmware in service center. And flashing the latest firmware won't void your warranty because it's the official firmware

Can u please share latest firmware and sp tool link.. Is it safe to do or i need to root my phone and take full backup first?
Also just for information how these official firmware released by micromax?

As i'm the new user and my post counter is below 10 m not allowed to post links. by the way its no need to root ur device for flashing new firmware. If u want to use modified(tweaked & modified) your device must have root permission. check out the roms made by Cmahendra and geek-droid.Both are based on latest firmware.

So, my brother has a Canvas 2 A110 which he got it a month back so now as u people know it ..recently micromax released official jellybean firmware.So, now my bro wants to update his device with the official STOCK jellybean by micromax.
I read through a lot of threads ..I din't exactly understand them .. I don't know why
I use a Galaxy Ace and I have rooted and stuff ..so basically I'm not a noob
So moving back to Canvas 2 ..so his phone is not rooted or neither he has CWM on it !
His device is running on ICS now ..so can someone be kind enough to tell me the exact procedure to put stock micromax jelly bean on his device ?
With the correct download links !
and ..will his data be wiped after updating to jellybean ??

Dude don't Use custom firmware because it's avoid you warrenty....
And if you want jelly beans in you're canvas just root your phone with bin4Ry method....
It's very easy
1.enable USB debugging in application development.
Download bin4ry root method... on root thread...
2.click runme.bat
3.on your device screen click restore
Wait for process done..
Your device rebooted few times...
Ignore it....

currently am having ics rom stock..phone is rooted..so can you tell me the exact step to do this..

I need to root this cell BT my frd tld ke I have to downgrade jellybean to ICS to root this cell is this true?

Noo need to downgrade u can root ur jb too not necessary u need to have ics

Most probably using the same program used to root it.

You can try SuperSU as it provide a option to fully unroot your device. This will probably work but can't be guaranteed. If you want to be on the safe side, backup your data and flash the actual stock firmware before running the OTA.

my Micromax a117 MT6572,got brick not able to find the stock rom.

hello xda team,i will be thankful if u help me out to flash the rom for my Micromax a117 mt6572.
im unable to find this MT rom anywhere and not able to flash custom rom becuase of device is not starting and even SP TOOL IS NOT ABLE TO HELP ME .
