I stuck with force close stock Browser a long time. I use gimlo now. Every time I get into Setting, it says Unfortunately, Browser has stopped. If I type a word in the Search Bar, fc too. With stock rom no problem. Can anyone help me out of this???

Delete the browser. Now locate the browser.apk in the system> app folder of your ROM.zip. Push the .apk to system>app folder on your phone. Set correct permissions.
That should work!
Hope I helped,

Haha, still not working. But, thanks for your help. May be it's time to disable it and use another browser from store

Hmmmm. If you really can't live without the browser, flashing the ROM again may be an option. Otherwise go for Opera Mini or Dolphin Browser. Chrome is just too heavy.
Hope I helped.

Only on the deodexed version which is a little choppy.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda premium
So on the non deodexed its fine
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
I will look at it. I agree 100 percent.
I haven't had any issues with it and I use it a couple times a day
Hmm...maybe roms should just keep the non-deodexed version instead of the deodexed. I really don't like using 3rd party browsers because even if I set them as default, ill ALWAYS get that annoying popup.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
Yes, my issue with the browser is this. The browser opens perfectly fine, I can even open any link available with no issue. Every time that I try to scroll at all though I am imediately brought back to my launcher home. Very frustrating indeed.
The stock browser absolutely SUCKS...use dolphin hd.

How about this.. Do you want to try the fix for the stock browser?
Attached is the framework.jar. I decompiled it, fixed the bug and recompiled.
It works perfectly fine on my device running kj6 stock deodexed.
Basically you need to overwrite the file in /system/framework/ and reboot.
I would strongly suggest backing up before you try it so you can just restore if it bootloops.
Let me know if you try it... thanks.
Your fix works great!

Of course, but you will still need some sort of a file manager to move it to the right location. The file itself is good to go.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
would this remove all other tweaks and such that involves tweaking framework.jar? probably huh?
that sucks
what file manager/explorer do I use to r/w the file.

Went back to stock, flashed New Rom, downloaded gallery lock. If i use root browser i can navigate to the for and see all my files, but when i use the recover option in the app it finds 0 files. I have some pretty important stuff in there!

does it show your file when u open gallerylock? And if you see them in root explorer cant you just copy and paste. Also...doesnt gallery lock rename the file extentions?

In the past i have been able to recover them without touching anything, but this time it's giving me hell. I think i need to move the files, but not sure where, and of course the dev won't respond.

I simply used root browser to move all the files from my saved gallery lock folder, into the new gallery lock folder that was hiding in sdcard-data- gallerylock. Then i opened the app again and did the recovery again.

1. I could send you a file taken from stock ROM but you forgot to provide you ROM version
2. you can try to extract it yourself - there's a tool for ROM conversion to format mountable on PC (with e.g. Ext2Fsd & gizmo)
3. I found port of it for non-TW ROMs somewhere on xda - don't remember the link, but try searching for "TW clock"
Hey thanks for taking the time to reply. I am on LQ2 ICS. If you could send file to [email protected] or post here or whatever that would be ace. I will have a look for TW clock as well.

I would love to use this but I am having an issue somewhere. I've tried downloading on my Mac, Safari, Chrome and on device. Renamed it exactly to SamsungIME.apk placed in system/app and set permissions rw/r/r and on reboot the Samsung keyboard is just gone completely. Any advice? Something simple I'm missing I'm sure.
