Gallery lock-if you use it i need your help! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Went back to stock, flashed New Rom, downloaded gallery lock. If i use root browser i can navigate to the for and see all my files, but when i use the recover option in the app it finds 0 files. I have some pretty important stuff in there!

In the past i have been able to recover them without touching anything, but this time it's giving me hell. I think i need to move the files, but not sure where, and of course the dev won't respond.

I simply used root browser to move all the files from my saved gallery lock folder, into the new gallery lock folder that was hiding in sdcard-data- gallerylock. Then i opened the app again and did the recovery again.

Use Root Explorer. Name the old SystemUI.apk to SystemUI.bak just in case somemthing goes wrong(Pay attention to permissions). Paste the NEW SystemUI.apk into the System/App folder, set permissions and reboot.

Sure. Use your root file browser to get to the /system directory. Replace the system.ui file that is there with Bigfau's modded version.
Fyi: Next time just post inside the q&a thread that is already open so that the forum is more organized.
Whoops! I'm too slow
A lot of thanks. I'm newbies, noob to android. Thanks.

The status bar should disappear when you rename it. That is normal. After you paste the modded version in the /system directory, the status bar isn't going to come back until you reboot.
If you rebooted already, I would double check that the file is there.
I do it,happy too. Now I'm testing it.
As a further problem, the clock can not I select update, always GMT,the GMT +7 time I need, how to fix this?

Unzip the GApps zip file that you have (has to be ics). It's in a folder called “optional"

Now how to install? Lol
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
Move the files to their respective places.
The addon.d file to /system/addon.d
The app to /system/app
The lib to /system/lib
And the pittpatt folder to /system/vendor
Make sure to set the permissions right, they're all rw-r--r-- except for the lib I believe

Make a file called .forcefaceunlock in /sdcard
/sdcard/.forcefaceunlock
Install gapps
Go into Settings > Security and set up your face unlock there.
The only way I've gotten the phone to unlock using face unlock is using the horizontal lock screen.
Rom control > lockscreen options > horizontal lockscreen.
When it asks you for a pattern, turn the phone sideways, you'll be able to see an image from the ffc.
It unlocks fine for me.

Do I put the whole "face" file in .forcefaceunlock?

don't do anything with the file other than create it.
BTW it won't really work yet until the ffc's warped image issue gets corrected.

The ffc actually had been fixed.
And as for getting it work,i did exactly what Juls said to go. Put all the files where they are supposed to be in /system, then put facelock in system apps. For permissions, check all the boxes in the first column, and the first box in the second column. Reboot, then it should be an unlock option in settings
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
Yea except you're probably gonna be missing some libs if you don't let the zip do it. If you read the updater-script and the shell scripts that it uses to install the files you'd know exactly which files are needed. Follow the instructions I posted, it's a lot easier flashing a zip via recovery.
Yea it turns out i got the option in the settings, but it didn't actually come up in the lock. So what was the link for that zip again?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app

I've been waiting to see if anyone noticed what I said to install in that long explanatory post I made.
I'm about to try it. I'll edit when done.
Didn't work for me. Not sure what I did wrong. I created the file in the right spot, and reflashed gapps.

I did. And yes it only works in horizontal lock screen.
I looked into it and apparently it was working in AOKP build 39 but something in build 40 broke it so we're probably gonna need to wait until the AOKP team releases build 41 so we can sync their source code, or wait until someone adds a patch to the lockscreen repo so I can pull it and build a new version with the fix. For now you're gonna need to use the lockscreen as horizontal.

7.5 gigs free, cannot install an apk due to no space?

So I am truly confused.
I am trying to install an apk that is 6mb and I keep getting an error that I have insufficient space.
Problem is, 14 regular market apps updated just fine.
And I've 7.5 gigs free space.
I've rebooted into cwm recover, and fixed permissions, cleared the cache, still no fix.
Any ideas?

Yes sir.
The only thing done was a root. Other than this I'm stock.
Meaning I am not running any custom rom.
I have installed Google now... But that's it. That's the only mod flashed and it's been there two days before this problem manifested.

Images are missing from gallery ?

after flashing cm10 job rom images are missing but the files are there present on SD card so what to do now.
Thanks
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
If your pictures are not appearing in the gallery you might have to wait a few especially if your just installed the ROM (it may haven't "seen" those files yet). You can also try Clearing Data/Cache for the Gallery app. Another thing you can check is to make sure there isn't a file called ".nomedia" in the folder containing your images as that will "hide" them from being seen by the Gallery.
I hope this is helpful:
I'm not sure this will work, but sometimes my songs wouldn't show up in the Music app. I accidentally discovered that by renaming any random file on my SD card (via some file exploring app such as ES File Explorer) it refreshed my music library and all songs were rediscovered.
I'm not sure this will work for pictures, but it's worth a shot. Definitely do the usual troubleshooting...clear cache etc.
Will try this but I had installed ROM last night they haven't shown up yet

[Q] accessing system

Trying to access my system folder to remove some software but the folder is not showing up in root explorers. Neither my nexus nor s3. Does this have to do with the distasteful /0 everyone hates? Or was there an error on my part? Thanks much
