I know other people have made forums for this but I can't seem to get any help. If anybody could help me get an invite to aviate i would be extremely grateful.
Hey
Since there's already a thread for that, please use it instead of creating a new one. This is necessary to prevent clutter and keep things tidy. If you didn't receive an answer there, feel free to ask again after a day has passed or so. Thanks!

Hey guys, I am happy that I am able to post this here after getting permission from the Admins! My name is Derek (aka viperboy on DF, Phandroid, and others) and I created www.froyoroms.com for Froyo ROMs and Froyo Development. I know there are already alot of forums for Android, but I wanted to give this a shot as this makes it easier for everything to be consolidated in one place.
I started this site up about 3 days ago so I don't have many users yet, but I'm looking forward to the site growing! It is completely free with no ads and you're more than welcome to just view if you want to even if you're not registered. I want to make it clear that I did this for the community, not to make money. I am not looking to compete with this site or any other site, it's just another place for Devs and Android enthusiasts to come together and enjoy all of the new ROMs and everything coming out with Froyo.
Speaking of Devs... I am looking to get some of you guys over there too! Again, I don't want to take you away from another site, but you have an open invitation to your own place over there. I can also provide you with...
Unlimited FTP storage
Your own board for you to moderate
A direct link to your board (example: www.froyoroms.com/developername)
your own e-mail address @froyoroms.com
As for the users, I ask you to please register over there, we would love to have you! As the site grows, I will also be looking for Moderators and I can provide you with storage space and your own @froyoroms.com e-mail as well. When that time comes, I will post more details about it in the Announcement section of my site.
If you have any questions, please let me know! Suggestions and feedback is greatly appreciated as this is my first website and forum and I believe that listening to user feedback is the greatest way to improve a site!
Again, thank you to XDA Admins and this site!
- Derek
I had some people register here after posting this thread. Just wanted to say thank you for registering! I'm working on some EVO how-to's and will get to the Droid how-to's hopefully tomorrow.
If anyone out there would be able to post how-to's (like rooting and recovery basics since there isn't much in the way of Froyo ROMs right now) that would be great! I am not familiar with all the devices so I could sure use some help!
Thanks again, everyone!

Hey everyone. I'm selling my current phone so I could put it towards a new one, I want a one plus one and wondering if anyone can send me invite?
Please pm m if you can
Thanks so much ahead of time
Yes sure, here, have one from my unlimited refill bucket of invites.
Read a few pages here and I am sure you will get an understanding of the situation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2780328
I still have an invite left but there is no way anyone is giving one to people begging all over forums. I hope you never get one.
Invite begging threads and posts get closed as there already are a couple places for this.
Hey y' all,
just got my Google Inbox invite.
After giving away two to my friends, I still have one more which I can share with someone from this forum.
Hence first person to write me a joke which actually makes me laugh, gets it
....
ok, I'm actually messing with you all, first one to write me gets it (a joke would be appreciated though)
EDIT: not sure if the invite sharing is limited as well but I can't seem to find how to give an invite atm)
being lazy and on a forum with peeps who probably know more about it than I do... first one to explain me how to share gets an invite
+ and let's keep it cool, whoever gets my invite, please share one of yours here as well
[email protected]
Thanks !
Please use the existing thread located here:

Hi, all, first, I am not sure whether I should put this post under this section or the General discussion. If I put it in the wrong, please kindly let me know and I will change it to the right place.
Ok, here is the thing. I have developed an android app (to remove the doubt of spamming, I will not mention it here). I thought it is great, so I upload it to the Google Play store and send review request to over 50 review websites. But the downloading data is really frustrating, only about 100 over two months.
I know XDA has many real android experts who are willing to offer help to those who are in need. So I wonder is there anyone who are willing to offer some honest suggestion for my app?
Thanks in advance.
I have had a few people get down on me because i feel if someone has a answer, and they put more time and energy into telling you all the reasons why they shouldn't/can't help. It just seems down right mean. I thought these forums were a place of sharing and learning to help one and another. It just seems like it is becoming less of that as time progresses. not everyone here is a "Phone wiz" and that's why they come, seeking knowledge. So what if the question has been answered already? XDA is not a small web site in its infancy anymore. It has a lot of information to surf thru. All I am saying is you know the answer is a simple do this, or see this post would be great, instead of google it, or you need to look harder. Are people that full of themselves that they are to above everyone to help some noob out? Everyone was a noob at some point. My point is lets try to help each other instead of help ourselves only. There is a good saying I once heard, "watch who you step on , on your way to the top, because they won't be there to catch you when you fall". :highfive:
Many people help on this site.... All the time and everywhere. But the ones who find help easy are the ones who also try to to help themselves first. They research, search and do their best to find answers...and then they ask for help when they're stumped.
The ones that have trouble getting help, are the ones who log in...find a thread or make one, reading nothing, searching for nothing and ask for help.
XDA is about learning, and sharing work... It's not a quick stop tech support help desk. If someone can't put in an effort to read, read... And read some more before they decide to start messing with their expensive device... Then this is not the hobby for them.
Most experienced members can spot the difference quickly between the types I've mentioned, and they interact accordingly.
Also, the site has rules... And one particular rule is not followed as often as it should be unfortunately...... That would be rule number 1: Search before posting.
And so... I'm going to close this thread now, because I can guarantee this will not be a constructive discussion. :good:
Regards,
Darth
