Display Viewing Angle on Xperia Z2 (nothing to say about S5 cause Super AMOLED is awesome enough )
>Early Performance Report, Benchmarks
Sony tried to reduce bezels size and improve their OmniBalance design. It means even if Xperia Z2 is tall But bigger display & Battery. also durability for IP58.
Samsung has great design on Galaxy S4. round phone is always expected from samsung. but Round phone with more bezel than previous flagship is not that cool! It s exactly unlike what Sony done.
For both phone; Durability of Phone force them to design.
In this side Sony did smarter job cause it uses metallic frame and thinner bezel.
BUT first you have to check performance of phone.
This time Sony have better plan for availability.
Xperia Z2 will come in Mid-March But Galaxy S5 in early April.

However on Xperia Z, ZL, Z1 & etc we saw lots of new and report about BAD display (Viewing Angle) But this time we can see lots of report about GOOD display.
Now It s about Large Color Gamut.
& maybe it s widest color range support for smartphones.
This Color Gamut is even more than Super-AMOLED displays.

nothing to say about Galaxy S5 sound cause it s not something special it has mono-speakers(Like S4 & Note3)
But 2 Stereo Speaker on Xperia Z2 is very good.
Xperia Z2 VS htc ONE [Sound]
/htc ONE has Dual Speaker-Beats Audio sound enhancement
Xperia Z2 is Louder but still htc one is more clear.
But thr s awesome speakers on XZ2 so they can improve quality by Software update.

S5 just have FHD display with Snap S800 and 2Gig of RAM
May be souce is wrong,

Samsung Galaxy S5 will be using Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset in MSM8974-AC variant, clocked at 2.5 GHz. Sony D6503 will be also using Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset in MSM8974-AB variant, clocked at 2.3 GHz.

yes the source is wrong, the screen is not 1080p its at least 2k
anyone own a Sony will regret it...Sony will be bankrupt in the next 3 years guarantee it, crappy phones, crappy tv, crappy headphone. Its hard to believe Sony is a Japanese company.

There's multiple versions of S5, Exynos and Snapdragon, FullHD and QHD, I guess only the exynos version will have QHD, or it might be a mix... Samsung doesn't have LTE modem compatible with everywhere that's why they're using Qualcomm in some cases ( S4 LTE used Qualcomm, while S4 3G used Exynos ).. the reason of why there's two screen resolution I guess is duo to low QHD production, Samsung can't sustain the required demand for these so they're going after FHD as a backup...
In most cases, we might get Exynos with QHD and Qualcomm with FullHD...
Sony's flagship will have 3300mAh according to latest rumor, it also has stereo speakers

however they can modify it for 2.5GHz but that s wht we know.

Or we could see an GS5 Active or O2 could be using "water" to hide the GS5 since they have no clue what it looks like.

NOW Sony have too difficult battle.
cause S5 probably support IP67

If only the Sony would be widespread in the US like the S5.

You're right it's my opinion and so is everything else on the net regarding the GS5. No one knows for sure until next Monday. That is FACT.

Samsung doesn't have difficult way to win battle !

Xperia Z2 Display powered by both Live Color algorithm & X-Reality engine
IPS /TRILUMINOS FullHD
It can be positive point for new Xperia...

Galaxy S5
NOW I have to say Samsung had so difficult battle!
and i my opinion Samsung cannot win!
after successful S4 & Note3
this S5 is not that impressive!
everything about it
Xperia Z2 is winner of MWC14

The ugliest device of 2014: Samsung galaxy S5!

Xperia Z2 aperature is 2.0 not 2.3

The Sony is too tall. The GS4 is already tall enough. I don't want a taller phone with a lot of bezel.

[Q] Should I Wait For Galaxy W Or Buy Neo V?

Finally i'm moving Towards Android From Old Crappy Nokia-s60. My budget is around 17k INR (India).
I Want an android For ..(here's my wishlist)
1.Great Audio/Music Quality Via Earphones (I have Two In-Earphones Nokia wh-701 and Creative ep-630.they are good enough for me)
2.Resolution wvga or above.

4.Good Camera With Flash (Although i dont use camera often)
5.Good Processor (1ghz or more)
6.Good GPU

8.Big Scratch proof Screen (3.7-4.0 inches)
9.LED Notification (NOT necessary).
10. (Very IMP.) Good Xda/Forum Support...For Rooting/OCing/Flashing.
There Are Two Good phones in my mind Xperia Neo V And Galaxy W (Wonder). Neo v is available for 17.5-18 k. Neo is not is available in india. And Galaxy w is coming soon (i dont know the date/month but expected price is same 17-18k).
So Should I Wait For Galaxy W Or Buy Neo V?

Please Help Me!! Should I Wait For Galaxy W Or Buy Neo V?
Please Comment.....Any Help Would Be Appreciated!!!
I think you should get the Neo V as it will definitely be getting ICS, and maybe even another update after that as Sony have been improving. The Galaxy Wonder probably will get ICS but Samsung take forever with their updates.
go for neo V sony confirmed that it will be getting ANDROID 4.0...
based on your (wish) list, neo v won imo.
PIck neo v, its cooler. there are also great support for that device here in xda. very customizable. camera is good with 5mp. Sony keeps their OS updated.

I know. I just pasted everything As screen size for majority, not known. Only know the flagship (Yuga and Odin) which is 5 inches and a Phablet not mentioned with 6 inches.
"What really matters in this world, anyway?"

Is there any true android alternative to iphone 5s?

Is there an android phone with spec similar to iphone 5S?
- 4" screen (or max 4.3")
- lightweight: 130grams or less
- Slim 8.5mm or less, not too big
- FAST user interface. Fast photos. Fast opening apps.
Thanks
The closest thing to that is moto g. And it costs only 1/3 of an iPhone.
the closest that you will get is the Motorola Moto G, which is considered a low-end device in contrast to the iPhone. So the price for the Moto G is much lower, but I assume you won't get the same great performance as on iOS.
There's also the HTC One Mini or the Galaxy S4 mini. Both feature a mid-range processor and over 1GB RAM. Because Samsung and HTC use their own customizations and User Interfaces I'd recommend using a custom ROM, like cyanogenmod. There is currently no official CM support for either devices, but I'm sure there are many ports available. These would offer a smoother user experience compared to the stock ROMs.
The best choice is to wait for the devices releasing early 2014. The Sony Xperia Z1S is said to arrive 2014 and this one beats all the "Mini"-Versions of other manufacturers, at least spec wise. It is said to offer a Snapdragon 800, 2GB RAM and an outstanding 20.7 megapixel camera. If price doesn't matter, what I assume when you're searching an iPhone-alternative, I'd wait for that one. I will probably consider it myself.

How can there not be a superior android phone with the same compact form factor???
edit: the huawei ascend p6 is slimmer, but taller. higher resolution i think.

The mini versions have always been inferior to their flagship counterparts. Sony will release the Xperia Z1 mini next year though, same procesor and camera as its big brother but with a 4.3" screen.
Z1 mini has good specs,
But is bigger and bulkier
Not really a true competitor

Sony xperia z3 compact tablet or Galaxy tab s 8.4?

I'm looking to buy a new tablet and I'm deciding between these two. My first thought was the tab s for the display but the old hardware is kind of a turn off. I'm not saying it's low end, it isn't, but the snapdragon from the z3 compact is way better and more future proof. I'll mostly use the tablet for gaming and movies.
I'm also planning to root it and probably load cyanogemod.
If there are any other alternatives you're thinking of please post here.
Z3
The Snapdragon 801 is the 800. Both use the Krait 400... It's called the 801 because they made it run at 2.5ghz instead of 2.3. Nothing more, nothing less.
Both also use an Adreno 330 and 3GB RAM.
Funny how the Tab S has "outdated hardware" , yet the Z3 only has a 1080 resolution, against the 2K on the Tab S.
I should think 1920x1080 ~283 ppi is significantly more outdated than 2560x1600 ~359 ppi.
In terms of hardware the two are identical. The only difference is that the Tab S' screen is 2 years ahead of that of the Z3.
And the battery on the Z3 is 4500mah, against 4900mah on the Tab S.
Ironically the 8.4 "Tab s is actually smaller than the 8" Z3. That thing has a massive bezel o0
Go for the Tab S 8.4. It's a brilliant device.
Sent From My Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005 Using Tapatalk
I'm running a Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and i can't even think about outdated hardware on my Tab Pro 8.4, so the Tab S won't disappoint you mate.
2K is saying enough for samsung, my Tab Pro is super fast and i can't really compare much with my Note 4 so the Tab S won't be disappointing.
Choose the xperia z3 tablet !

Real flagship compact phones for 2015?

Excited about the Z4 Compact, assuming it comes to market. But will there be any other such compact devices on the market with top-end specs?
Talking... fully-clocked CPU, 3GB RAM, 1080p, 3000 mAh battery, top camera with OIS, SD card
I wish OnePlus would make a compact version, but apparently the OnePlus Two will have a 5.5" screen.
The ~4.7" size seems like an abandoned market for Android if one seeks true flagship specs.

out of curiosity, what is a fully clocked CPU ??
Now for answering, well it depends, samsung may do another alpha(there are some that are high ends),and you can maybe call the one m9 a compact since its a 5'' screen (2015 seems 5.2'' + standard)

As in a CPU that is not underclocked, like most "compact" devices' (~4.7" screen size) CPU's normally are. For an example, compare the specs of the Z3 vs. the Z3 Compact - they're identical outside of the smaller screen size and more compact design of the Z3 C.
Samsung's Alpha had a totally different CPU, chipset, GPU, lower screen resolution, lower end camera, and smaller battery than the S5. So it didn't have flagship specs. This stripped-down device is similar to what most other OEMs have been doing recently when they release "mini" versions of their flagships. Problem is, these "mini" versions come with mini specs throughout.
M9 is not compact. True, its 5" screen isn't considered huge these days, but its design is still quite large. (5.7" tall vs. Z3 Compact 5.0" tall, big difference)
Right now, it looks like Sony is the only OEM who puts real flagship specs in a true compact device. I'd have no problem buying the Z4 Compact, but am just wondering whether it'll have any real competition this year.
