I am currently experiencing hardware issues concerning my mobile signal and GPS tracking. I believe this is a hardware issue rather than a software one, since it occurred after I had dropped the phone from 1.6m up onto concrete. I have also tried other networks with the phone which also do not appear to work. I then disassembled my disassembled nexus but I didn't notice any cracks in the antenna, so I'm stuck as to where to look next. Any suggestions would be helpful, or any ideas as to what piece of hardware may need replacing (wire, controller etc)
Below is an image of my mobile signal before and after the drop

Just found this on the market and it is amazing. If, like me, you are suffering with the Wifi reconnect issues with your Nexus or seemingly any other phone, even rooted ones, this little App installs as a system tool that just sits memory resident, waiting to identify an issue and repair it. It uses about 8mb of RAM, so isn't a memory hog either. Check the reviews. All 5*. Never seen that before, so it has to be good.
I am not the dev. It's just a great find.
Sorry, new user so can't post link, but search market for "Blade Wifi Fix".

I've always found Wifi comes back on for me, but it doesn't stay on in standby, at some point it disconnects.
Hi all,
I've got two wifi networks set up at home. One in my room and one in the kitchen. But everytime I get home and turn on the wifi on my phone while I'm in my room, it automatically connects to the kitchen wifi and vice versa. I've tried turning on the option to avoid networks with low signals, but then it just stays disconnected instead of connecting to the network with the stronger signal. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
TIA
Hi there,
This phone apparently has the WORST wifi of all smart phones for the past 2.5 years. Read review below:

Hi there,
Does anyone know what is this NlpCollectorWakeLock and why is it using so much battery?
I'm guessing it's got something to do with location but my location is turned off and everything location related is turned off.
The problem is that it doesn't come up that much when I'm "stationary" but it goes crazy when I'm on the move, driving and changing location all the time.
Is there a way to fix it? Maybe block this wakelock somehow without root?
Also what is that ImsService? Is this normal?
Please help.

Did you solve it?
This might be coz of using body sensor or fitness tracking system on your device
10 years ago fixed S1 GPS problem
https://www.xda-developers.com/hardware-gps-fix-for-the-galaxy-s-i9000-and-i9001/
Now fixed S8 Gps no signal
When no GPS signal or low signal, high probable hardware fault,
many components may cause this problem:
- gps antenna
- filters
- integrated controller
- oscillator
in this case, even antenna having continuity, i found low connection so i fixed it by bridge,
fault is caused by drop but many people discover fault after update and not remember drop even phone having cracked glass
This fix is not simple if have no experience in soldering
Please don't contact me in pm,

Hey, I recently came across this problem in my phone regarding the wifi, bluetooth, & hotspot not working. The problem is that the WIFI is turning on but is unable to search any network in it's range, similar goes to the Bluetooth and hotspot. I've already tried the factory data reset and even flashed a new rom on the device, but the problem still remains there. Is it a software or a hardware problem? I checked the WIFI information there it shows the wifi is enabled so i think it's not a problem related to hardware. Is there any solution to this?
