I have a T-Mobile MyTouch 3G. An app called "Flappy Bird" requires an Android 2.2+, my Android is version 2.2.3
Now here's the problem: I will Google "Flappy Bird APK" then find a site where I can download an APK, after downloading I connect the Android to my computer with a USB then move the Flappy Bird APK on the SD Card, next I open ES File Explorer, navigate to the SD Card then click the Flappy Bird APK, wait for it to install then after installing, I will open the app then the logo "GEARS" (I think it's the creator of the game lol) for 10 seconds, then the screen goes black for a few seconds then exits. What the heck?
The app is only 800+ kb and requires Android 2.2 but why can't my Android open it? Any answer? thanks.
PS: In my school, one of my classmate has a 2.1 Android while his friend has a 2.3 Android. The two of them had a bluetooth each other, the one with the 2.3 Android sent his Flappy Bird APK to my classmate with a 2.1 Android, once it finished, my classmate with a 2.1 Android opened it then it works, what the hell? The app needs a 2.2 Android but it worked on his 2.1

Hello XDA,
I just have a very simply question that the experts here should have no problem answering.
Please spare me the knowledge
On my Coby Kyros 8042 which is fresh out of the box, un-tweaked in any way
I cant play my favored Glu Games like Eternity Warriors 2 and Lil' Kingdom.
As we know it doesn't have Google Play so I use Black Market Alpha and 1Mobile
The problem is that when I run the apps, they fail to download the resource files from the server,
which is if i'm not mistaken, the files that should be on andoid/obb
When I download the app from Blackmarket or 1Mobile, it only downloads the APK, not the obb file...
and when I run the app, sometimes it says:
"doanload failed because you might not have purchased this app" -BUT THOSE ARE FREE APPS?!?!
"cannot find resources to download"
"connecting to server" continuously flashes on and off of the screen
what might the problem be???
Please help..... I really want to play those games....
Thanks all you guys... more power to XDA
PS: is there any other better providers than BMA and 1mobile?
Hello,
I want to run the Star Wars: the Old Republic security key android app on an emulator, so I don't have to buy anything to use the authenticator. I have a phone I use for apps, but it's Windows 7 phone, and the security key is available only for android and ios.
The app is free in the market, could someone with an android device post the apk file please?
I noticed on my iPhone, it has an update my Dropad doesn't so i tried to update it but when i go onto my apps and press fruit ninja it says it is no longer available. When i search it into the android market it doesn't show up, the only place i can find it is on google play but i cant download it as it is incompatable.
Why could i download it before but not now, i have the system specification so i should be able to download it.
Thanks
Anyone have any ideas?
Alot of apps run on jellybean or higher on android. These apps can still run on older versions but they need to be changed slightly. Aka changing the sdk version and seeing if the app makes any api calls that our software does not support. Whos up for getting games like godfire rise of prometheus and brothers in arms 3 running on the play? Ics? Gingerbread? The developer never will which is a damn shame. Whos with me on this?
Sent from my LT28i using XDA Free mobile app
I just wanted to play kairosoft new games but they'r for android 4.0 ¬¬
I like my xperia play in 2.3.3 original rom and I won't go change it. Root is the only thing that I did.
I hope that somebody someday releases an simple apk or program that easily mod highter android for 2.3

I have a Note 3 and downloaded cooln64 last week and everything has been going smooth. Today i cleaned some stuff off my phone including the apk file and now the app crashes every time i start it. Weird thing is the app is working behind the message "Unfortunately, Cooln64 has stopped", meaning i can see it there. I even uninstalled it many times and it still gives the same message when i try to open it. How can i fix this?

It sounds like the poorly written Chinese cleaner app deleted some necessary files for CoolN64. It's best to delete all junk/corpse files with Clean My Android after uninstallation before reinstalling CoolN64.
