[Q] Nexus S : no wifi after root

Hi ,
I rooted my nexus s according to the guide at jaxov website (i am not able to post link, because this is my first post)
And now my wifi doesnt work . What should I do , is there a fix to that . I googled about this issues and nothing helped.
Any help or suggestion ? I badly need the wifi

did you try to flash an original rom and then try one of the other rooting methods?
(they are in the Nexus S forum part)

Flash new kernel from nexus S development section or if u have time then install custom rom

vipers 1.2.1 wifi problem plz help

let me explain my problem better : i installed vipers 1.2.1 and it was great the only problem is wifi which i can not turn it on
some guys told me wipe cach+dalvik . then i wiped it and it fixed. wifi found my modem and i connected to internet.
but after rebooting my device while wifi was on, i still can't connect to my modem.
wifi is always on and i can't turn it off. it founded my modem but it always shows not it range.
what should i do now/? is it about the kernal ?? how should i find a good kernal ? should i download it then install it like a new rom?
i couldn't find any solution about fixing wifi problem in this beautiful vipers 1.2.1 rom

Hi I use viper and the kernel I use is Sebastian. I have no problems at all with WiFi. I suggest a fresh installation of viper, with a new download incase the old one is compromised. Do full wipe, cash, dalvik , wipe data factory reset, then install Rom. Then if you wish to install sebastian ( it's a great kernel for battery life too) install like you would a Rom. You should not have any trouble with WiFi then. If problem still is happening after that, l would post on the viper development because someone else might have same issue or know of a fix. [Q] Xperia Mini ST15i (smultron) CyanogenMod 7.1

Hi everyone!
I have a problem, after updating to CyanogenMod 7.1.0.
This issue coming after booting, the lockscreen apperars, and the booting animation restarts. :crying: I tried yesterday to update to CM9, but the same problem appeared. I don't know to what to do now. I know to fix it, but this is annoying, coz I cannot install a custom rom to my phone!
Please help me. Give a correct kernel or custom rom. I'm try to use a Custom Rom. I want to create my custom rom, but I don't know to how to start the project! :/

i have xperia lww with nAa kernel 3.4.49 , im facing wifi problem , wifi not turnning on.
this was not happen before when i was on jellyvanilla "cant remember the version" and accidentally i format the system via cwm , now im not able to flash any kernel cause my usb terminal in my phone was broken, im using universal charger to charge my battery.
im on jellyvanilla 4.1 now and wifi didnt work. i also try jellyvanilla 5.3 and the same problem with wifi.
please help me guys cant remember what i have to flash jellyvanilla rom version that just like before with no wifi problem.
or someone please give me wifi module for nAa 3.4.49

Sony Xperia LT29i WIFI issue

Hi everyone!
I have installed Android 7.0 on son xperia lt29i . I am facing only one problem. My WIFI is not working. Its not getting turned on.
The phone is out of warranty and cannot be taken to service center . Can anyone help me to troubleshoot WIFI issue?

As per information given, I think you should check ROM is having problem or kernel (if custom installed). I remember flashing a custom kernel with CM12 but after that wifi used to give same problem as yours, I had to install kernel again to remove that bug.
I found this workaround in comments, make sure before trying antything new you have already done research.
