Is there a way to hook up a monitor to the 7.0+ ?

Is there any way to wirelessly mirror (ie not DLNA) the Sensation's output on a TV? The Apple TV allows this with the iPad 2, so I'm just wondering if there's a similar solution for Android? (Again, mirroring, not DLNA)
Anyone?
There has to be a way to do this on Android, no?
I scoured the internet and these forums for an answer to this but found nothing. Does anyone know if this is possible? I know the max res is [email protected] and that is what my tv displays. I would like to set it to [email protected] (best for movies) or possibly even [email protected] (for gaming).
All I can think of is getting an adapter that tricks HDMI into thinking your TV isnt capable of doing certain resolutions, but I would rather not have to go that route.
Thanks.
if your tv supports it, force it into another resolution and see what the phone does with it. on my tv i can set the resolutions and refresh rates on the different inputs.
unfortunately my tv does not support that, who makes your tv? i have a 2009ish samsung lcd, i am pretty sure i know that tv inside and out but its possible the functionality is hidden away somewhere.
So I checked it out, but couldn't find any definitive information about this.
Is there any way that I can force an app to do an HDMI out with audio to a tv with my Droid X? I'm trying to stream things like HBOgo, or MaxGo to my TV but haven't found a way to do it. It seems the HDMI out only works with images and videos stored on my phone. Help?
Use this app:

I use this app on my Droid 3 since it somehow fools apps that block HDMI into working with HDMI. But its actually designed for what you want.

I'm thinking of possibly replacing my desktop computer with the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 in the future. So while at home I would want to connect it to my monitor and peripheral setup. The Plugable UD-3000 will have everything I will need including a USB 3 to DVI adapter. I'm not a big gamer but I still do want to play some mid-range games. I read in review that the USB display performs fine in normal use and video watching but not recommend for playing games. I could not find much information on this subject so I would really appreciate if anyone can shed some light on how this would compare to a dedicated video output port.

Galaxy J3 Prime [Metro]. This does not have Screen Mirroring? I wanted to cast/mirror my phone to a Roku. YouTube seems to have something. But, I wanted to cast/mirror video in general?

theres a way to do it but you need to look on google play for an app. just search for screen mirroring apps. i have tried it myself but i could never get it to work. i have a samsung smart tv. but if you really want to put videos on the tv you would need to use a laptop or desktop with an hdmi cable. i had to do it myself but it was too much work to move my laptop around. my old desktop would work but i need a graphics card that has an hdmi port to plug in it.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobzapp.screenstream.trial is one of many. The question is does it work and how well? I want to connect to my Roku streaming media player. Not Roku TV, but a seperate device. One more question: This phone not having this function: Is it a hardware or software thing?

it could be both. because when i looked at the j7 prime it had smart view but the j3 prime didnt. i am unsure but you would need a good router and you may need root too. also don't use anything with a trial on it.
