Can anyone help? I have a 16 GB nexus 5 running slim kat. My phone reports to me that it has 3.9 GB free memory. Where has all the space gone? In es my sdcard is only about 3 GB. I only have about 30 apps. From what I understand I skiing have started with about 12gb... I feel I should have more space.. Is it telling me wrong.? Where did all the space go?

It depends on the apps. Can you put screen shots?
If you have games such as real racing or others they download a big change of data.
Also, check for Nandroid backups. Have just one and that put somewhere on your PC. Although restoring a nexus phone is easy as pie.

Thanks. I'm still a little confused as to where all my space is going. Even after clean flash/factory reset I don't gain much storage back. Doesn't seem to be reporting properly..am I wrong?

So is it not possible to put apps on the sdcard at all?
Whats it good for?
If I'm not mistaken as it stands right now you can't use apps2sd or link2sd or any of that. they are working on it I think lol

I load my apps in the internal and my media on the external.
Hopefully someone comes up with a way to move apps.
I just received my tablet and would like to know if this is still the case with not being able to move apps to sd. I've tried the apps 2 .sd app with no luck and don't get the option through the stock software.
Thanks

Tried using that app just now it didn't work. I selected the game I wanted from the list and hit move, and it moved it, but then when I went to start the game from my app draw it started downloading the data all over again. There was no other way to start the app even from within GL2SD. Maybe I did something wrong?
Any other ways anyone can think of? or do I have to wait till we get something better created?

Hay guys I have a problem. Out of 12 gigs around 4 gigs are under misc.
Any idea where those went?
I've checked my download folder and there is not 4 gig worth of stuff in there
I recently went to another build on aokp and before I restored my apps via titanium backup it was still high under misc.
Any idea how to find out what's taking up so much room?
Maybe an app that can find out for me?

Nandroid backups are pretty big... Use astro file manager or root file explorer than check the size of your /cyanogen folder
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
I deleted my nandroid from my internal and it deleted about 4 gigs of stuff...when you backup in CWM, make sure you backup to external sd card..
I would say it's system files the rom uses but it looks like that 4gb is already accounted for as your total space says 12gb vs 16gb like on a tw rom

You can delete whatever you want but if your using cwm I would delete the back ups through recovery and not a file manager because someone says it doesn't get rid of all the blobs that way. Also I would keep at least one back up just in case.

Went into nandroid but only I when I went to the delete option there is said that there were no files to be deleted. Which is odd because eight before I did a factory reset, I deleted some of my other nandroid backups. So I deleted them via root explorer but still up to 3 gigs of misc. Is that normal?

I have made several book mark backups with boat Browser and can't find where they are stored so I can delete some.
It says it stored in Drive but can't see them?

Don't bump your own threads within 24 hours - read the rules please.
http://www.boatmob.com/guide/bookmark_management - took me about 10 seconds with Google.
First of all, sorry
Secondly, the page you refer to does not tell you how to delete backups.
Only how to delete bookmarks.

No, but it tells you where the "Save Path" is - surely you can go and manually delete any unwanted backups yourself?
Like I said in the 1st post
I chose to backup to Google drive but when I open Google drive they can't be seen.
But can be restored from there.
Doesn't make sense I know but you need to try it for yourself to understand.

You didn't make it at all clear that you were backing up to Google Drive.
No idea - I'd try running a full search on your Google Drive to see if you can find them as it should be fairly simple to work out where they are I'd have thought.
I can't locate them that's why I'm asking for help.

I reckon you might be better off contacting the developers and asking them.
I did leave a comment on the app store, but they didn't respond.
But thanks for all your help.

Wow you're right...I just backed up to google drive and was able to restore from it, but when i go to drive I do not see the backup...odd.
Ok this is the response I got from them, should now help anyone else who uses boat browser.
Dear user,
Thanks for using.
The file in google drive is not visible, but it can be cleared via attached steps.

I'm running CM 7/17/2014 CM nightly.
I did a factory reset from the last stable release. On flashing into a nightly my storage has disappeared. I've tried flashing 3 different nightlies.

Philz or TWRP
The reason I ask is because this is a symptom of having cwm and taking backups.
Click the link in my signature to get to sticky roll up. In resources is a thread about nexus storage. You'll find the answer there.

A lot of the articles I've read recently are saying Samsung is sending an update that will prevent charging. I'd proceed with caution if you're trying to hold on to yours. Did you get the 60% battery limit update?
