Beta Programme
There is a beta tester programme which Google introduced some time around when Jelly Bean was launched. Franco allows users to test the new features which don't always work as its for testing purposes and to gain feed back before the regular app is released to the main public The beta application updates are managed through Google play store so when a new beta version is pushed you download it through the play store as a normal app update. Beta testing can only take place for downloads from Google Play Store not any other download site.
Sounds good how do i join?
There's three things you need to do before you can get on the beta programme
1 Purchase the paid application as its this one which gets updated
2 You need to be prepared to join Googe+ and become part of Franco.Kernel community
3 Click here and choose to become a tester then follow the link to update via play store.
Or just click on his download link. Beta testers can get the fku app updated more often.

Thanks guys, that link wasn't there last time I checked? Must've gone public? I don't know... Anyway I've got the IMG, but how do I use it? Do I just flag it like a normal zip file? Do I wipe? Will it 'react'and cause problems with my current Franco kennel or will it just overwrite? Thanks for your help!

Okay so by now everyone here should know that Google just released its Google Camera app on Play Store (gosh I guess I won't see Nexus 10 mk2 afterall)
But I have a big problem with it. I have Nexus 5 Cyanogenmod11 snapshot m5 and camera crashes on launching HDR+ every single time. I had similar problem app pulled from stock nexus 5 (can be found everywhere on the net) - it acted the same although that one needed app data wipe to even launch again. Is cyanogen missing some libraries for camera or something like that?
How can I make it work?
Is there a way to see a detailed crash log and fix the problem?
Anyone envountered similar issue?

Yes. These threads are always pointless.
one of the first sources which is serious to have the single APK file is androidpolice.com
until it actually hits the play store globally, grab it from there.
Hey, everyone! This is the CyanogenMod 12 that I have ported for the S4 from the Nexus 5! Tell me how to downloads are, because this is in testing! Do it for you other friends that want CM-12 for the S4, so we can have information on CM-12!
Based on the CM-12 that galaxys4root.com featured, for all variants. I added the things from the Nexus 5 to the S4, as well.
Merry Christmas all! This Christmas, we have a new update!

Or you can download the CM-12 Unofficial in the downloads tab!
So, what's new!?
Changelogs
DOES NOT WORK WITH I9500
Added the Google Play Store, no need for GApps! (You can use GApps if you want, this includes the Play Store ONLY, very minimal)
Updated Build Property/Properties
Checked over for errors( ? )
Thank you for downloading! Nightlies are not guaranteed, but Monthlies are almost 100% guaranteed.
Instructions
1.) Install TWRP or CWM Recovery.
2.) Install the files onto your device. (Look for GApps on Google)
3.) Boot into recovery. (PRESS VOLUME UP + HOME + POWER UNTIL IT SAYS "BOOTING INTO RECOVERY")
4.) BACKUP YOUR PHONE. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR DEVICE, THIS IS PURELY EXPERIMENTAL.
5.) Factory Rest.
6.) "Install zip," then choose the GApps and the cm-12 file.
That's it! Reboot, and you SHOULD have cm-12!
Basically, it changes sounds, and some of the boot animations. Review how it is in the Reviews tab!

caqn you tell me if L Camera from PKMX works? to be specific, if it supports the new camera2 api, cuase thats something only N5 and N6 do at the moment. i know this probably needs driver related solution per device, but it would be great if you could check if you can shoot raw with l camera or camera fv5.. Thanks mate.
I'll take a look at it.

Does this happen to have a toggle for enhanced 4G LTE? Some Verizon users (go figure), like myself, have had issues with incoming calls.

If it crashes on the patched version, it would also crash on the official version.
The patcher only modifies the messaging part of the app.
