I notice that also. I admittedly haven't taken many pics with this phone but the other day I shoot a picture of the snow outside. It had a definite blue cast. I haven't had a chance to explore further. BTW, it was set on auto HDR.

I can not reproduce the problem, but I can describe the conditions under which the photo came out with a blue tint:
A) INTERIOR - 2 people full figure, white background of back-wall. On the right, out of the scene, the light of a table lamp (light bulb)
B) INTERIOR - Height of the table, to a person standing behind the table, white tablecloth, a wall of white background and halogen lights on the wall
Flash Always ON and HDR auto
It seems to be a problem with the automatic HDR. In case of Blue tint, try turning it off, seems to fix the problem!!!

This pic is taken with a stock camera. It doesnt matter which White Balance I chose, the camera can never correct the green light. The lights and objects on windows on the right building have correct colors.

This pic is taken with Camera360 app at max ISO (1600) with flashlight constantly on. I noticed that the app flushes the photo with some red (already visible through the phone before pressing the shutter) and now the walls shows the correct color but the windows/curtains and the sky(the sky is the least of my worries) are overflushed with red. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.
I know that camera phones are basically point and shoot and I shouldnt expect too much of it under low light conditions but I have a photo that shows rows of green lit light posts and I am not pleased
What should I do to fix this?
i just took a picture of bathroom and all the whites come out yellow !! i just updated from 1.73 to 1.85 in the morning ,this only hapens when i have artificial light .do u guys have same problem ?

Try changing the white balance to match the lighting in the room. Bathrooms have very low light, and auto white balance can only adjust based on what the camera sensor is seeing. In a dimmer room that's all one color, it's going to be very hard to get the correct color temp.
Auto makes my the room I'm in now more yellow/orangish than it truely is. Picking a good white balance setting is the only real way to avoid this on any digital camera.

thanks alot , i was playing with settings and i had to change exposure contrast and white balance to match ,this is the first time i had to do this with a phone ,usually the other phones i had would match it automatic
If you're taking a lot of photos in the same space/lighting conditions, it's well worth the 20 seconds to select a few settings for that scene. Definitely choose WB, set ISO to 100 on sunny days outside, etc.
If you're using it for quick snapshops, facebook photos or MMS, Auto is generally good enough.
I have read articles that said using DC brightness on OLED/AMOLED screens can effect colors, particularly at low brightness. How are people finding it? I dont really care if it makes colours "less accurate" as long as they dont look weird
Looks fine to me. Barely can tell the difference.

What makes you think the 3 / 3T screen is capable of DC dimming? Can every AMOLED screen support it?
First off, I don't notice any flickering when the screen brightness is low so maybe DC dimming isn't for me. I'm sure someone with a fancy color monitor device will probably post a technical breakdown of how it affects the screen, but I don't see any difference except in one scenario.
In bed I tend to set the brightness settings on the lowest and then turn on nightmode to dim the screen even further. If you have small white text with a black background such as the settings menu or Youtube in dark mode, some of the text fades into the blackness and is unreadable. Images with dark colors or areas will look weird because you won't be able to distinguish them apart.
I tried to take pictures to show a comparison, but the screen is so dim that it doesn't work.
Hey there, I recently bought the OP8. Sadly, my display have an issue.
Get a dark grey image. I used a dark grey image from google image search.
Set brightness at 20-30%, auto brightness off, DC dimming off, screen calibration to natural.
Display the dark grey image, make sure it cover fullscreen.
The issue is, which can be seen more easily inside a dark room:
The under-screen fingerprint sensor is visible as 2 overlapping rectangles
Photo attached ..
Please someone confirm me that is normal or not. Can i continue using the phone? Everything else is great. Just this issue. Should i keep the phone? I Got it from online unofficial , so It's gonna be difficult to claim warranty. Thank you
This is normal. All fingerprint readers for all phones that sits under the display are visible if you just find the extreme colour setting, light setting, angle, sun light or whatever far-fetched, never used setting needed.

This is normal, the rectangular portion will be translicent so that the reader behind the screen can register your finger print. for the reader to see your screen it needs that window.

Hello, i'm happy with everything on the phone, except for the camera, I have two main issues:
On HDR auto, when it enables HDR some times the colours are just off, too oversaturated or ghosting issues regarding colours. I more or less fix this using the GCam.
On some interior scenarios with certain types of lights, the image captured is just yellowish, but changing cameras or moving a little bit the colour returns to a normal white... This is not happening on a Oneplus Nord, picture is just much better. Do you know if this is a normal thing to be happening?
