How do I install this? Should I manually push the apk with root explorer for it to work? I tried regular install but it doesn't install.

I simply downloaded it... clicked on the completed download... then had the option to install... went straight to the market and checked the version, no issues at all.
Renamed and pushed no problem. Def faster.
I hope this fixes the "insufficient space" bug on our phones.

when it comes to the market, it only updates when it's open. it's the only app that does it that way. all other apps will show in the notifications. if I'm wrong, please let me know, but I don't think that's the case.

How do you know that this is the ONLY app?
But anyway, my point is if Google can do it on Android platform it does not matter with one app or many.
PS: off-topic, Google Map subscribes to bunch of intents, so it would be launched when you turn-on screen, WiFi etc... I would like start application when I press app icon... There are no other way to opt-out other then disable Map in pm.
Google maps can be stopped by using the app autostarts. All those apps that start by themselves when you do something, ie reboot phone connect to wifi ect... no longer plague me. True, I just delete most of them, but there are some I actually use (like maps and Gmail).
Unfortunately I can no longer find the exact app I use in the market, though I'm sure there are others that do the same thing. If anyone would like the apk for the one I use just let me know and I can post it next time I'm on my laptop.

If you found the developer posted it for free on XDA, please link to that... otherwise this breaks XDA rules.

My bad go back and see my previous posting, I didn't see it on the market when I looked last week. I just checked again and your right, it is still there. I'm not at my laptop now. Either need to have a mod delete my post or I'll do it tonight when I'm on the computer again.

UPDATE 4/8: MMS fixed. FC on self picture click check market for the update. Dev is touring europe for a few weeks so there probably wont be any other updates for a bit :[

Or what you can do is in the Applications menu, disable the old MMS. It's like freezing it. Just built into the OS. I think I'm starting to like ICS more and more...

Might need to edit the apk's XML's to match the stock messaging app to fix that. Don't have my computer right now, so I can't do it myself, but when I was messing around on an Epic, that's what we have to do to prevent that.

This is from the app's description in the play store:
* Removed some stuff about "date sent", which was causing crashes. Samsung's lame SMS app doesn't have this field in the database. I could potentially add it though. But it is not a critical feature so I just disabled it.
* There's stuff about DRM (Digital Rights Management) in the code. I presume this is for copy protected MMSs? Does anyone even use MMSs? Anyway I haven't tested anything to do with MMSs or DRM and there's a good chance the app will crash if it has to deal with any of that stuff.

Just tried this as well.. FC'ed when trying to MMS.
Latest update of the app fixed this for me! Seeems like I had to come off of wifi for it to send. But I may have just been impatient.

Once again i have another GREAT improvement to an already amazing app!
I love love love love love love love Go SMS Pro. They deserve all credit
But, i do wish it possessed some features which it does not have until i added them
At first i wished the keyboard would close upon hitting the "send" button. That way i could exit the app with one press of the back button on my device.
Well then i realized, why the heck not have it close FOR ME automatically when i pressed the send button? So i added that Now no more pressing home button or back button to return to whatever it is you were doing before you replied. Now just hit send and be done
Note: It only closes the chat window. Not the entire app.
I have two versions, one which exits the chat and closes the keyboard. or
One that JUST closes the keyboard.
I am very happy now hope you guys are as well
TO INSTALL:
Just download attachment, back up your Go SMS Settings, Uninstall GO SMS PRO, browse to downloaded directory using any file browser of your choice, click the downloaded apk and install

Nice. Could u make it able to send on a dual sim phone.Presently it can only send from sim 1. Ziango messaging does this but I prefer go sms pro. Kindly help.

Great Work, but now I have to ask: Can you edit the icons used for the notifications?
For example, is it possible to edit the icon for the private messages to show something else like a smiley or an icon for an app I don't care for?
I have nosy eyes around me so when I get a message, I wish it was just not there or something else like a transparent box/icon.
I suppose the Premium version has a different option for this but I don't want to shell out the 5 bucks for it.

As long as you don't make any pay/premium features free (which would then be warez obviously) then I don't see what the problem would be tbh. Just removing the spam and bloat would be fine wouldn't it?

To be flat out honest all go SMS thread apps are closed and not to be posted. This is due to security concerns that the developer refused to clearly explain.

Any chance you could mod the app so when you 'close' the app by pressing the home button to return to your android home screen, when you next open the app, it goes to the list of messages, NOT the message you were just viewing? Your current mod achieves this when I send a reply, but when I just view the message and do not reply and come back, that message is still shown first - not the msg list.

Probably because it doesn't work in any released 4.2.2 yet except using the tempfix hack in the general forum section.
With the WiFi fix and twrp. I am really liking this ROM...thanks Beastmode...
I think it just replaced slim 4.1.2

Im a little confused I don't see the GPS toggles Does this Rom not have GPS yet? Other then that Damn this is nice and smooth like butter.
I'm just wondering, is the phone call hearing problem still a bug in 4.2.2 or is it fixed? Also does YouTube work? These are the only 2 reasons why I am hesitating to flash this.

Yes I love it it adjusted perfectly l. Outside in the sun it went to full brightness and in dark it goes down its perfect

I've been using the Neutron Music Player. The sound quality is amazing, but most people don't like the UI. I actually kind of like the interface though and the sound is simply amazing.
Tethering via wifi
Is this possible on the rom? I tried it just laughed at me and called me fat (well it did not work but hey) Making sure i did not miss something.
Did you try using Barnacle or the Wifi tethering for root users apps previously suggested for people with problematic tethering?
Fixing the built-in wifi tethering is a goal, but one that probably needs wifi itself to properly work first. Or at least, to work without needing to be activated through another script...

OK just a few tips to get beanstalk smooth. Install nova launcher holo seemed to lag allot. Install seeder and root cleaner. Im not sure but using the xposed installer seemed to make the ROM respond better. Now my beanstalk is silky smooth

I have note 3 with s-view cower and it works without the screen turning on I can spy on people now lol :victory:

I just got the SW2 today and installed this extension on my Z1 Compact. I can see the app in the settings/apps on the watch, but there's no icon for it. If I open the sony camera or google camera on the handset, the advanced settings within the watch's settings/apps/camera smart extension tries to do something on the phone, and the phone flashes a message about no settings, but I can't work out how I'm supposed to take pictures.
EDIT: OK after 3 uninstalls and reinstalls (even giving it a few minutes to copy the files over bluetooth) the icon has appeared, but the app is so buggy and only shows a preview image 1 in 5 times. Pretty much useless it would seem.
I know the topic it's a bit outdated, but for people having problems with camera depending on the screen status, on Xperia devices, I have a solution.
Try switching off the Stamina Mode.
