Hi Guys,
I want to buy a new Tablet, which is good for gaming. First I decided to the Archos Gamepad, because it's cheap and has controllerbuttons like a psp or any pad of a console. Then, today I saw the Nexus 7, which has a better hardware and is not much more expensive. The tablet would be in use for surfing at home and for gaming at home and at travels. Personally I like the Gamepads design very much, although the nexus is pretty too. Games like Dead Trigger stutters only at the archos one, but not on the Nexus.
Now I don't know which one fits better to me, should I buy the Gamepad because of the Buttons, or the Nexus 7 because of the better Hardware?
I look forward to hear from you
pushing allowed? I'm new here..
Tegra 3 is not much HW better than RK3066 (only CPU performance is better in T3 - 4cores>2cores)
Significan difference is: 44mil polygons/s(Mali400) vs. 129mil polygons/s(T3 GPU)
I know all the specs and i've watched (and read) a lot of reviews, but I still can't decide...
Is the tf700 (with Cromi) smooth and fast like the Sony xperia tablet?

Here is something to consider: http://sortable.com/tablets/Sony-Xperia-Tablet-S-vs-Asus-Eee-Pad-Transformer-Infinity-TF700 . Now they compared the Sony with the STOCK tf700. Now if you compare the Sony with the CROMI tf700 ...you probably got the answer!!!:good:

thx, but this is not a '' real'' review, it' a comparison between the specs, not the real user experience. I just wont to konw if the tf700 has still lags with the official update (or with the Cromi rom)...
The Xperia tablet is very smooth but without support/roms; on the other side, the t700 (as i read) has a lot of problems but also has a decent support by this community...

I think the Sony is pretty smooth as is, on the other hand, the tf700 need to use custom rom to do the same. Since we have good support for tf700, I think it's going to get faster and faster as time goes on. If you want to buy a normal tablet and do your daily stuff then the Sony is a better choice, and if you want to play with custom rom, theming, peformance tweak etc... then clearly the tf700. I never try the Sony, but I don't think it's faster, probably about the same on most parts or even slower than the tf700 when set to OC performance mode (quad core) and don't forget the extra battery and sdcard slot in the dock.

i want a tablet for everyday usage (internet, movies, books, games etc). I've got a lot of smatphones, so it's pretty easy for me to flash a rom (but i i wont to do it only to reach the best performance possible, not for theming)... so, do you think that (with this assumptions)the sony is the better choice?

Well, if you don't want to mess around with custom rom etc... then I won't recommend to buy tf700, however, I won't recommend you to buy the Sony Xperia either, there are better tablets out there than the Sony. If the tf700 doesn't have the I/O issue it would be thee best tablet for 2012.

To be frank, I was having some serious buyers remorse over the last month with the transformer. The stock ROM just want what I was expecting for the price point. However after flashing cromi it's like a new machine. It really depends on how much time you want to put into it IMO.
To be honest, if you can wait a couple of months, get the Xperia Z tablet (Snapdragon S4 Pro, Full-HD screen) instead. Tegra 3 is already outdated, you will be sorely disappointed when it comes to gaming in the next few months.
However, if you really want a tablet now, I I'd like to suggest another alternative: ASUS tf300. Since you have the Sony Xperia Tablet S under consideration, I suspect the full HD screen is not the top must-have feature in your mind. Minus the full HD screen, the tf300 has none of the problems of the tf700 and has the same keyboard dock that most of us here want. Since the tf300 and Sony tablet have largely the same specs, to me it is better to go with ASUS because ASUS has awesome track record in updating their products.
Lastly, if you are dead set on the tf700 or the Sony tablet, I can only agree with all the posts above: get your priorities straight (I am comparing stock performance):
Keyboard + Better screen: tf700
Stability: Xperia Tablet S.

thx a lot for the answer, but comparing the stock performance?
Xperia tablet s (stock) vs. Tf700 (with cromi)?
Reading the messagges in the Cromi therad i didn't understand if the tf700 modded is stable or simply more stable than a stock tf700...

Modded tf700 is fast, smooth and very stable....a lot better than stock period!
Modded tf700 is better than the Sony for additional battery life and hi res screen, dual sdcards, keybooard doc and exellent support from XDA.
Now if you don't to mod then Nexus10 or Galaxy10 should be consider for now, if you do have time, you could wait for the new comming tablets!!
thanks a lot to everyone!
Hi,
Im thinking of buying a tablet for comics and internet.
I am now down to Nexus 10 or Sony Xperia Tablet Z.
I know that Nexus 10 have better resolution but not that great colors, it also have faster updates. Sony Tablet Z is a lot lighter and offers sd slot.
The question is if Nexus 10 screen will make small text in comics easier on the eyes?
Have anyone tested both? What is the real cons on pros?
Guys can i buy it to be used a s a tablet or the screen is too small?

Xperia C has 5" display, as far as i know, a tablet has at least 7" display...
A Tablet is a tablet and a Cellular Device is a Cellular Device.
You cannot use Xperia C as a tablet and if you wish to buy a tablet in that range then you can go for Nexus 7
