Are there any cases available to buy that will protect the phone against drops?
Some of the people have dropped the phone accidently and already have crack screen on both sides?
I want to purchase something that will protect against drop?
I think that's the point of a case...

It's a great question, as I don't see (m)any cases that protect against drops on the market right now.
it's pretty obvious there are not, we are all trying to get otterbox and uag to make one for us which would hopefully help with drops. but a easy search for any case at the moment, would result in no good cases available.
Just came across this on amazon. No feedback on the nexus 4 version as it hasn't been out yet, but I figure for $15 shipped, it looks like the best of any available cases.

That case won't ship until after christmas. I would get something temp until then. Also, ballistic has confirmed a case. Check their website

In the description, for most cases it says 'protects against dust and scratches'
My focus is 'protection against drops'

Says in stock Dec. 9th., and according to amazon, Delivery Estimate: Thursday December 13, 2012 - Monday December 17, 2012 by 8:00pm. I went ahead and got one anyway, and again for the price it is essentially a temporary case.
On a related note, I just heard back from otterbox:
Unfortunately, we do not have plans to develop a case for that device at this time. I would recommend keeping an eye on our website, otterbox. com, and Facebook page, as they will have the most up to date information for every new release.

Tpu cases work perfectly fine for drops. Just got my Diztronic and it's nice

TPU cases do NOT work perfectly fine for drops UNLESS those drops are very minor. If you drop a phone with TPU case from waist up, chances are things might not look so good once you pick your phone back up.
Seidio has confirmed some cases for the Nexus 4.

I think the Active series is a more drop friendly case. Probably get one of these or the Ballistic.

My TPU case let my Nexus4 survive a 4 foot drop, no damage... Not willing to test it above that though lol

4' drop onto? My TPU case wouldn't save the N4 from a 4' drop onto anything but carpet or grass probably.

What is the best case? What are your experiences so far?
(I was tempted by the bumper case but it seems very expensive.)
no such thing as a best case, that is subjective and depends on the person and what you're looking for.
are you looking for a bulky case? are you looking for a very slim and low profile case with minimal protection? what are you looking for?

Best TPU case is diztronic matte black (comes in other colors)
Not many other options outside of cheap ones on ebay...

Best anything is just down to each individual's taste so you'll just get lots of opinions saying different things. My opinion on a case is completely different to most others I've found. For that reason I'm closing this thread and that there's so many posts about cases in this section.

I bought one of these for my M8 & the quality & fit are excellent. Waiting for these to come into stock & then getting one as I prefer leather pouches as opposed to cases.

Did you receive yours yet? All I want is someone to make a leather case that's exactly like the apple OEM case for the iPhone. I would pay $50 for it, just like the 6+ case that I've been using for over a year...

I thought of buying this, but it looks very expensive for what we get. Though leather looks premium, it doesn't cover the volume and power buttons like apple case do. I saw that available for around $40, what is the deal you got?

Hey all! I am almost ready to buy the Mate 9 and I was would like to know if anyone has it in black color along with the UAG case.
Design-wise, the case itself seems to be a little over the top for my taste but since it's semi-transparent I was wondering if the black color of the phone tones it down a bit.
Any feedback is welcome (maybe along with some photos if anyone actually has the combination? )!

I actually use just 2. I switch between the UAG one and the Spigen one. The Spigen one is a lot thinner but the UAG is good too. Gets more attention. Lol

I have read mixed reviews about the Spigen case, some say it's great, others that it's flimsy. What's really weird though is the fact that there is no case for the Mate 9 on the official Spigen site! I think I will go with the UAG case, it's a big and quite expensive phone to risk dropping it...

It is strange. I never saw it on their site either. I got mine on Amazon.... Unless it's a fake lol. Heres a pic of the Spigen. I actually like it a lot. I don't find it that flimsy though but I guess everyone has different preference. The Spigen definitely gives it the Blackout look
I use the UAG it is realy nice.

On the UAG, it's much higher which makes it much more protected than the Spigen. The Spigen also has a lip but not as high. Still good though. I do notice the Spigen has a lot more room for the screen protector edges than the UAG one which gets a lot closer.

It does look stealthy and I really like that they went with 3 cutouts on the back rather than 1 big one.

1) Brotect Airglass
2) Supershieldz Tempered Glass
3) Nillkin Tempered Glass
Any other suggestion?

Actually, I wish I knew too. I still have the original screen protector on when I got my Mate 9. I've wanted to move to Tempered Glass but never knew which one to get. If u do find one, keep me posted too

Well, since I am probably going with the UAG which has more protection, I will first check the Brotect Airglass which is thinner (and hopefully less likely to peel along the UAG case?). If I decide to go with Spigen or Ringke (I like the Ink Black), I will problably check the Tempered Glass options.

The pzoz screen protectors are pretty good as well. Cheap to at about 3 bucks a piece.

I haven't come across any cases that protective for this phone. The most promising one I found (based on previous experience with the brand) was this:

I hope you like it. The quality is much better than other cases I've tried but I would prefer that it was a bumper case all around rather than just in the corners. It provides a comfortable grip though which is nice.

I've never had good luck with clear cases. They always seem to turn yellowish over time. They look nice new though.

They do and I normally buy two or three at a time and swap them out when they yellow. But this phone is so gorgeous it deserves a clear case.

Forgot to post that I've received the iMak clear silicone case and it's exactly what I've been looking for. Fits perfectly without adding too much bulk and most importantly protects the screen and corners.

Can you tell me if it fits exactly in the speaker/mic area at the bottom? I have bought some but they don't fit well.

All the cutouts align perfectly. It's the best clear case I've used for this phone, most of the others don't protect the screen.
