[Q] Stream custom OpenGL App to Shield? - Shield Q&A

Hi folks,
I have developed a Windows 7 OpenGL application and would like to stream it to my Shield. Does anyone know how this can be done? I don't want other solutions like Splashtop.
Thanks!

Add a shortcut to your application to the game list steam on the computer. With the Nvidia shield, open a full list of games on steam and you will see there your application.

[REQ] App to use android phone as a game controller

hello all. I have been searching around for an app that would allow me to use my android phone as a remote to play games on my honeycomb tablet.
The idea use for the app would be for playing accelerometer based games such as need for speed on the tablets that is inconvenient otherwise. if there's already a similar app, please point me to it. thanks

[Q] Splashtop THD/2 and SLI with fullscreen?

Hey Guys!
I finally decided to pick up a Shield and now I am in awe and a little lost!
I got the NVIDIA Game Streaming working fine and I got Splashtop THD sideloaded. I also have Splashtop 2 installed - I am familiar enough with the two to get things going. The issue I am having is, playing games (like Skyrim or Dragon Age) in fullscreen. It either crashes the app or gives me a warning the it cannot support fullscreen games. My PC has 2x 780 GTX graphics cards running in SLI with two monitors connected. I tried disabling SLI and netted the same results. I am not sure it matters, but I am also running Windows 8.1.
My question is, can I do anything to allow fullscreen games or am I stuck in windowed only?
Things I have tried are:
Splashtop 2 and Splashtop GamePad THD
Disabling SLI
Disabling 1 screen
Geforce Optimization on and Off withing Splashtop
I have the latest drivers, I did try two older drivers as well.
PC:
780 GTX SLI
Windows 8.1
i7 3770K
2x 1080p displays
Any help is much appreciated. I Googled until my fingers were tired and my head was exploding. Most items I found were dated 2012 or earlier. I found one from January of last year. Surely things have changed since then? Anyway - please let me know. If there are any alternatives, I am open to exploration. Just from what I read, Splashtop is the best? If so which version? THD or 2? Does it matter?
Thanks again for your help!
So you also tried the shields native game stream also?

Yes and that works fine.
I am trying splashtop for games that are not natively supported. The issue I am having is that I get the error "splashtop streamer does not support direct screen access...". It has the nvidia optimized logo. I tried every registry change I could find by googling today. I also tried (again) a single card, no sli, and a single monitor.
This is driving me nuts ! haha I see so many talking about doing it but no way to replicate it....I will gladly tip someone if they help me get this working (via PayPal).
Thanks

there is a program on the pc called Bluestacks-it;s an emulator that lets you play Android apps on a PC ussing your PC's hardware.
uhm guys... you know that he wants to see his smartphone/tablet screen on his pc screen with (maybe) 30 fps to play games on a bigger screen?!
And Bluestacks is not made for gaming. it is just an emulator. and you need a really good gaming pc if you want to run all apps/games smoothly

Streaming pcsx2 to nvidia shield tv

Has anyone been able to set this up properly? I added PCSX2 as a non-steam game. When i load steam on my pc it works in that it launches pcsx2 properly and i can use the mouse to launch any game, but when i launch game streaming from the nvidia shield and try to launch pcsx2 it never load properly and just crashes. Is this an issue with my gpu not being powerful enough? I have a intel core i5-4600k CPU and geforce gtx 650 card. Any help would be appreciated.
I stream dolphin flawlessly. I would do it all through the Nvidia Experience software though. Just go in to Experience, then SHIELD tab and add the exe manually. Then access it from Gamestream in the Nvidia software on the SHIELD. That sounds about right but I'm posting this from work. If it's any different I'll update this later.
Basically you're streaming the emulator without adding Steam to the equation. Works for pretty much anything I've tried so far and I forget or getting this muddled... but it might enable you to add PCSX2 directly to the launcher home screen.
You really don't have to even add individual games themselves. I just add remote desktop as an application, then open programs within that session without any issues, including any emulators, MMO clients, web browsers, even virtual machines running on that desktop. It's great. Full controller support. I run a 4K main display and this will even fit that to the Shield Portable's display without losing anything in the process. This really is in my opinion, the best way to use the Shield Portable.
Follow these instructions:
