I'll try it now

All cast is just for play videos and images, I want play games =/

there is a program on the pc called Bluestacks-it;s an emulator that lets you play Android apps on a PC ussing your PC's hardware.

uhm guys... you know that he wants to see his smartphone/tablet screen on his pc screen with (maybe) 30 fps to play games on a bigger screen?!
And Bluestacks is not made for gaming. it is just an emulator. and you need a really good gaming pc if you want to run all apps/games smoothly

PS3 Open Remote play with android

I have an HTC Evo, and I noticed today that I can do open remote play with mobile phones. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get this to work with Android. I get to enter in a password, my Evo remembers the password, but when I try and connect, I can't and my Evo states that I have the wrong password. The PS3 gives you the password to enter, so is there a file that may need to be changed? Sorry if this is posted somewhere else, i ran a search and didn't see anything.
Thanks in advance! Love XDA!!

Hi. Where did you download it from. If you let me know, I'll try it out on my Desire Z and report back.
Its actually just on the PS3 under settings. It would be amazing to use our android handsets as remote play devices. The only thing I can see is having to use PSFreedom and creating a homebrew app for the PS3 and an app the corresponds for rooted android devices.

Hi, I've actually tried this months ago and after further investigation came up with the Sony x10 is the only handheld with this capability
Well, I guess I can't live my dream of playing CoD on my evo...*sigh*

Unless a hack of some sort is done, you wouldn't be able to play CoD (or any other disc driven game for that matter) through remote play.
After I registered my PSP for remote play, I actually went onto the net and found out exactly what Remote "Play" is.
I don't know about PSN games or downloaded movies, but it will not allow you to play disc games or disc movies.
It is more of an app that allows streaming music, pictures and certain types of videos to the registered device.

Remote Play can do much more. If you have modded your PS3, you can enable Remote Play for any PS3 game. All it does is stream the video and controls.
To get Remote Play to work on a device other than an officially licensed product (say your iphone, pc). You must pair it FIRST with a PSP device. After the device is paired, you have to extract the information on the pairing from the PSP (also requiring a modded PSP).
And after all that hoopla, you use Remote Play to stream any game (and also xvid i believe)
Unfortunately I don't think there is a solution for android at the moment.
PS3 Eye as remote surveillance device
If remote play worked for android, I would have remote surveillance in my pocket at all times, which is what I am really looking for.
It's Sony, they would never do something so awesome as to allow every Android phone do this.
They want your monies!

Does Splashtop Work?

I plan on purchasing an Asus Transformer Pad 300, or perhaps a Prime/Infinity 700 should I manage to scrape up the extra cash, to serve as a replacement for my current laptop. Android more than satisfies my daily use and, with a tablet instead of a laptop, there is also an option for some portability plus using a tablet is much more comfortable than using a laptop when sitting on a sofa. However, there are two things I shall miss from Windows...Microsoft Office and Steam. I've heard of an application called Splashtop which allows you to access your PC remotely. Using this, will I be able to run Microsoft Office and Steam games such as Fallout: New Vegas on my Asus tab? Also, is it compatible with the Transformers' keyboard docks? Will I, for example, be able to type in Office using the keyboard dock and then save it to my PC or use the keyboard dock plus a USB mouse as a means of control for games such as Fallout?
Splashtop Play Store Page Is Here
EDIT 1: I forgot to ask whether or not the application also transmit sound? Would I be able to open iTunes on the PC and play music from there, for example, on my tab?
EDIT 2: What is the general performance of the streaming like over a decent WiFi broadband connection? If I were to stream Fallout: New Vegas, for example, would I get around 30fps?

Having used splash top on iOS as well as android, I would say that your hopes are very very high and I would in no expect to play games.

Well, that's what I have seen demonstrations of it doing on YouTube? Plus, pictures of the app on the store also run games as well. Would it at least fair running Microsoft Office remotely and allow me to type using the keyboard dock?
Yes you can play games on it. I played Runescape (don't laugh ) on my device without lagg.
Yes it has an option so you can transmit sounds.
And performance is just great.

Thank you. Will it work with the keyboard dock and a USB mouse from an Asus Transformer?

I think your internet speed must be quite slow, as it uses your internet network.
Anyone know whether or not Splashtop will work with USB mouse and the keyboard dock of the Transformer Pad 300?
I currently use the Win8 Metro Testbed edition of Splashtop from my Prime to my MacBook running Windows 8.
Under normal usage, the OS stutters, but it is not too bad. You are never getting the feeling that you are actually using Win8 with your Prime but that's ok. (Same applies to win7 usage with different Splashtop versions, even THD).
The whole thing also uses the keyboard dock of the prime, you can use it as a mouse for example and the cursor on the PC updates (after a bit of lag). Typing also works great, no problems here.
I use it to watch videos on my Prime, but since I only watched Cartoons like the Simpsons & Family Guy, I didn't notice any lag or stuttering. Sound also comes in sync, it's working great. Again, I haven't tested this with a real movie, not to speak about 720p/1080p.
i tried playing games using splashtop but sometimes the screen resolution of the game in the computer becomes small.

[Q]Stream non steam game?

Hello
I don't use steam. I bought games in store.
Is that possible to stream non steam game?
i haven't gotten mine yet but last i heard it either has to be detected in GFE or you can add non-steam games thru steam.
If you add a non-Steam game to your Steam Library (which is very simple and you can find out how to here), you can play it on the Shield by launching Steam in big picture mode. I've done it with a couple games, such as Hawken.

Can you run an emulator on the PC and stream it to Nvidia shield in this manner? I was thinking of emulators that maybe don't run too well on android but do so on the PC.

It's not working for me. I have the shortcuts setup and work fine in big picture mode without the shield. But when the shield is streaming and I go to launch a gamecube game, nothing happens.....
Other non-steam shortcuts work fine on my Shield, like Halo 2. How are your shortcuts setup?

2 ways to link gamecube roms to shield.
Method 1 is to use a batch file or some other script which launches dolphin with your rom, find a utility to compile it to an exe (steam will only trigger EXE files) and set steam to load that. I never got any of the old batch to exe utilities working but did get ironPython working to do the same.
Method 2. Just set steam to open dolphin and manually select a ROM. Probably wont work for big picture (I havent tried nor do I own a shield)

Funny enough, the batch file isn't working for me....
But just opening dolphin does, using the touchscreen to select a game with the mouse.

I had a friend who had a reasonable amount of success with the batch file option. Steam will only open EXE files normally so you do have to find a batch to EXE tool, but the only ones I can find now are either confirmed malware ridden, broken on modern versions of windows or both.
The basis of the method is you write a batch file which simply calls [path to dolphin] [path to rom] on the command line, when its run it should fire up dolphin with that rom no problem.
I did get ironPython to open Chrome on my PC once, steam was then able to call the ironPython EXE fine.
Did find a 3rd method last night. Add dolphin.exe to steam. Right click it, go into properties, add the path to your rom as a command line option. Limits you to 1 rom though and I couldnt get steam to let me add dolphin to steam multiple times without copying multiple instances of dolphin onto my computer.
Seems like the regular open dolphin > select game from shield method might be best for now.
Will be great when the dolphin for android port is complete, that is if the shield can run it (shields powerful but you do need a fair old amount of power to emulate a gamecube)
No Sound

[Q] Games played on Android and PC

I've been searching for awhile now, and can't find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a local multiplayer game that you play on PC and android devices simultaneously. An example would be a card game where each person's hand would be on their phone, and the card table would be on the PC where every body could see. I have my PC connected to my TV, so something like this would be awesome for when we have people over. They could communicate through either WiFi, or Bluetooth. I know there are a few games like this that uses Chromecast, but I have no need for that considering my computer is connected to my TV already. Does anybody know if games like this exist? If not..why not!? Thx in advance for any feedback.
Well man i guess you can use an android emulator on pc such as bluestacks or something...search for it and read about it

Run PUBG mobile on a Touch Windows device

I have an HP x360 and i have no intentions of cheating by using a mouse and a keyboard and 3rd party apps like octopus something something to make the game easier.
I just wanna play PUBGmobile on my 13inch device with the highest possible graphic settings as if i were playing on a tablet.
Is there no way I can play pubg plain and simple without matching with emulator players using a touch PC?
Not sure.
Im not sure it will be able to run due to graphic drivers on emulator being poor :/
It just won't run properly.
